Friday the 13th

I just realized it is Friday the 13th today….surprisingly, it is a good day and not a bad one.  I’m excited to announce that I will be the Guest DT for 4 Crafty Chicks for the month of December!

Quite excited about that and looking forward to creating with their awesomely talented DT!

Today is our new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges…we’ve got a new DT coming up and some minor changes so watch for a posting about that.

Our theme this week is Autumn Leaves are Falling….I am not looking forward to fall in as much as it means that summer is over.  The leaves have already started falling from the trees here.  Our winters are always so long so I am sad about this.

I created an ATC for this challenge as I had to do it for a swap-bot swap as well.  I do apologize for the picture though.  It’s not that great.  I’ve already mailed out the ATC so I can’t redo the pic so I do hope you will forgive me.

???????????????????????????????

The DP is just from my stash.  I’ve had this leaf FOREVER.  It is in a chipboard set and so I spritzed it with my Clearsnap spritzes and then I stamped over it with a sentiment stamp from Pink Paislee’s Amber Road stamp set.  I also had some little i-rock blings that I used as well. I also have these cute little leaf punches and I just did a few in some autumn colors to add a little tail to the atc.   I hope you like it and please stop by the blog and join in on this week’s challenge.

Generations

Good Morning everyone!  It’s been awhile since I’ve posted.  I’ve been so busy with work as well as family sickness that I’ve not had a lot of time to create and post lately.

Our new challenge is up at Use it Tuesday this week.  Our theme You Can’t Touch This, challenges you to use a beloved favorite that you’ve just not been able to break down and use yet….go ahead, it’s relatively painless 🙂

For me, I have only 3 sheets of this gorgeous Madame Boutique paper by Kaisercraft.  I also have some matching die cuts and I’ve been holding onto them for a long time.  After the initial shock of breaking into them wore off, I was glad I did use them for this layout.  The picture was on a different layout that I did, but never really liked.  I really like this one so much better.

This picture is of me as a baby with my mom, my grandma, and my great-grandma holding me.   This is one of my favorite pictures of all time, the 4 generations of women on my mother’s side.  Sadly my great-grandma passed when I was very young so I don’t have a lot of pictures of her.  All the other elements on this page are from my stash.  The paper flowers I made with some old book pages that were sent to me in a swap!  I really love how this turned out.  I hope you will stop by the blog and play with us.  There are a lot of great projects this week, AND we are having a design team call!!!  All the details are on the blog! I do hope you will apply.

Eat, Drink and be Merry

Ahh …what a great thought!  I’ve been sick for about a week now, so the thought of eating and drinking anything really doesn’t appeal to me…however, it’s a food and drink theme on the Sarah Hurley Challenge  blog this week, where as you know, I am this month’s guest designer!  So bring out your best creations and enter to win!  Go here to enter!

And Voila! here is this week’s card which I love.

I used some of Sarah’s cupcake DP for this one…I rarely use digital paper, but I totally thought that this was so cute!  She also has some matching sprinkle paper to go with it, so make sure you check out her store as well!

It’s Halloween at AIF

This week’s challenge for the AIF challenge blog is a Halloween one!  Soon it will be here!  We got to work with some really cute halloween sentiments this time around and they can be found in the store here.  Better yet, enter this week’s challenge for a chance to win them all and a shot at being a Guest DT member in November!  You have until Wednesday November 3,  11:59EST to upload a card or project and then a winner will be drawn randomly.  If you use an AIF image, you get double entries in to win.  Make sure you check out the freebies here (there’s even a haunted house perfect for this challenge).

So here is my card for this week!

I just used basically a bunch of left over bits and bobs from other Halloween cards that I have made over the last few weeks.  The trick or treat sentiment is one of the ones from AIF’s Haunted Tags and Frames collection that we are using this week.  I ran it through my spiderweb cuttlebug folder.  I added a vintage pic that I found on the internet as well as some ribbon, felt spider and stickers that were all used on different projects!  I hope you like the card!  Don’t forget to check out the other DT blogs (which can be found by clicking on their names on the challenge blog) and see what they’ve created this week!

Happy Halloween!

This card is entered into the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges: Halloween

Stamp Something: Use a digi (the trick or treat sentiment)

Dutch Dare: Halloween

PaperPlay Challenges: A Haunting we will go

The Corrosive Challenge Blog: Halloween

Crafty Purple Frog: anything goes

To Die For

So it’s my stash challenge on Challenge Master’s this week and it’s all about Diecuts!  As I’ve been making my cards for the craft fair this week I’ve been finding all kinds of stuff in my stash…especially diecuts..

Here are the cards I made for this week’s challenge!

I had to make them simple, as they are for my craft fair.  If people buy them, they can’t have too many embellies or they will cost a small fortune to mail!  The snowmen diecuts were a chipboard pack that I had bought last year or the year before and just never used!  I really like how these turned out, even though they are quite simple.  I just used some DP from my stash and some pearls.  A little ink and a little distressing…Enjoy!

Ribbon Rave Week #3

So here is my layout for week 3 of SavvynSassy’s ribbon rave.  This week’s challenge was to create a layout inspired by an ad that was provided and then to add some ribbon bows into it.  Since I am away from home for this week, I was limited with supplies but I think it turned out alright. I was inspired by the vintage look of the ad as well as the floral element and the colors. Granted we’ve got a bit of $rama embellies in there, like some of the flowers, the chipboard title, the bling and brads.  The paper was some old Wild Asparagus that I have had in my stash forever!  I’m trying to use up old papers for layouts for the next while… Leave me some love and let me know what you think of the layout.

the ad can be found here  its the floral one on the right hand side and down a bit.

Some new layouts

So here is a new layout that I’ve been working on for Riley’s baby book.  The baby blues one has no pictures because I can’t decide if I want to do the pages focusing on his blue eyes or the fact that he’s crying all the time..probably the crying since he seems to be doing so much of it lately…LOL
