AIF Celebrations Blog Hop!

This is one of my favorite images to use.  It’s an older  one and honestly I am not even sure that you can get it anymore in the store, (but who knows it could turn up as a freebie posted by me;) ).

I wanted a simple thank you card.  Now normally I am not a pink person, but I wanted to use some pink scraps I had found and so I decided to give it a whirl.

Almost everything on this card is from my stash.  I did emboss the one panel using my hearts Cuttlebug folder.  The ribbon is SavvynSassy.  I just colored the image with my copics, did a bit of a doodle border and the added a bit of bling in the corners.   The stamped sentiment was sent to me in a swap.   (I apologize for the bad picture..)

Easter Challenges

Hello! Can you believe Easter will be here soon, although it is arriving late this year. I’m excited to be going to British Columbia to spend Easter with my parents and my brother & neices..YAY!

So a couple of Easter challenges for you today. One is for Sarah Hurley. You can find all the details on the blog here.  The DT have created some fabulous projects using some great products from Sarah’s store which you can find here.

Here is my DT card this week..

The DP is from Sarah’s store and the cardstock eggs are just scrap.  I cut out the basket and eggs using my Doodlecharms cartridge.  The sentiment is from a new stamp set that I picked up from the Craft Lounge..love it!  A little bit of inking and a bit of ribbon.  A border punch and all is done.

Thursday Goings ON

A Drop in the Bucket at AIF

Hey Everyone! This is the first week of the new DT and wow! You really need to check out the challenge blog and see what they have created..such talent!

Our theme this week is A Drop in the Bucket, so your projects should have some kind of water on them..rain, ocean, a pool, a glass of water, anything like that.  You have until 11:59EST on Wednesday March 9th to upload your projects to be entered to win.  You can check out the blog for all the deets and to enter!

Here is my card for this week’s challenge using Ella the Mermaid..such a cute image!

I used some BG DP  from my scrap box (**sigh** yes I’m still trying to go through all my scraps)for this and cut the waves out of scrap cardstock  using my Going Places cricut cartridge ( I think this is the first time I’ve ever used it).  I colored Ella with my copcs and just added some bling.  The stamped sentiment is just a stamp set I picked up eons ago.

Well a few things to tell you today…

 

It’s a new challenge over at AIF.  I don’t have a card for you today…I’ve been really busy this week with work and with Riley that I haven’t had a chance.  I hope to get one done this weekend.  It’s a Valentine’s Day/Love theme so for those of you still making Valentine cards, it’s right up your alley…

It’s Anything Goes at AIF

Our challenge this week is one of those popular Anything Goes so I hope you will join us!  It’s going to run for 2 weeks so you will have until 11:59 EST on the  26th of January to enter on our challenge blog.  Here is the card I created using the Ballerina set (we had the option of two images), just an every day kinda card.  I like those ones!

The DP is from my scraps and I did a bit of paper piecing for her skirt.  I decided not to use the copics this time and instead just colored with my waterpen and my inks.  I found the little flower charm in a little box and I love the little flower brads.  A little bling and voila!tle bling and voila!

I am a little behind in my ACAD’s as I’ve been trying to get ready for our Cuba trip on Saturday which will put me even further behind.  I have a few done that I will upload later today and the rest will have to catch up when I get back!
