Beautiful Boy

It’s our first post with our new DT at Use Your Stuff this week!  We are so excited to feature some of our new designers.  I am hosting the challenge this week.  Inspired by a Song.

For my challenge I chose Beautiful Boy by John Lennon.  I am a proud mama.  I love my little guy to death so it’s no wonder that a lot of my layouts feature him.

This layout I used a new technique that was featured on the Cardmaker blog.  A starburst.  It was super easy to do and I thought it turned out really well on my layout.  The DP is from October Afternoon.   The ribbon and wood veneer as well as the thickers are all from my stash.

I hope you will stop by the blog and play along with us!

Oh Baby

Hey Everyone! I’m late in posting this challenge today.  Sorry about that.  Our new one is up at Red Carpet Studio and..WE HAVE A PRIZE AS WELL!!!

Our challenge is based on the movie MARLEY AND ME.  We would like to see you create a project that features an animal!

Here is a baby card I created.  I love how this turned out.

The image is Stampin Up and the DP is from my stash.  I really like the colors for this and the fact that this card can be used if one does not know if the baby is a boy or girl :).  I hope you will stop by the blog and play along with us for a chance to win a really great prize pack.

Lucky Me

Well, one of my favorite holidays will be coming up soon.  Yep, St. Patrick’s day…love me the green!! :)

It kinda ties in with our new challenge at Red Carpet Studio this week.  Our theme is The Lucky One

the challenge is to create a project a project that signifies Luck…maybe it’s St. Patrick’s day related, or something that is lucky to you or you feel lucky to have.  Even just something green. :)

For me, I always feel that I am truly lucky and blessed to have my son.  I had a miscarriage before him, and thought for sure that I would never have another child and lo and behold, luck was on my side, or providence, God’s grace or whatever you believe…I was blessed with the most amazing little man.

Here is a layout from one our first trips to Cuba with little guy…he was small enough to fit in the suitcase (not that he travelled to Cuba that way! :) )

The DP is from Cloud 9 which I think is called Travel.  All the embellishments and journal stickers are from my stash.  I’ve had them so long I don’t remember anymore where they came from :)

I hope you like the layout and please play along with us this week.  We can’t wait to see what you create!

Stick it!

Hello all! Welcome to the blog.  Our new challenge is up at Use It Tuesday this week.  It’s all about the stick….adhesive, stickers, tape, anything that sticks down.  We want to see it.

For my project today I made this cute little pregnancy card.

For my ‘stick’ I used some good old fashioned glue, as well as some double sided tape for my rick rack.  I also added in some adhesive mesh for dimension and a little Glossy Accents to stick down the stars and to add some shine to her head band.  I hope you enjoy this week’s card and be sure to stop by the blog to play along with us this week.  The DT has created some great projects for you to enjoy!  Get your stick on!!!

2x the Hoarded Fun

Hello my lovelies!  As you read this, I am soaking up the sun in Sin City with my BFF for a few days!  Some time away for R&R to refocus and regroup!

We have a fun new challenge for you on the Use It Tuesday blog today.  We want you to rummage through your hoarded items and use at least 2 of them on your project.  I know most of you have more than one, and the real challenge will be in figuring out which two or more, to actually use!

My biggest hoard—Echo Park Product! LOOOOVE IT! DON’T WANT TO USE IT!! However for this challenge I started out slow and broke out my Oh Snap mini kit!  I created this fun layout of my darling Riley at his first birthday party, looking all cute and stuff :)

My hoarded item besides the EP set were some Glitz Button Flare that I’ve had for awhile because I didn’t have anything to go with them, due to the colors….it wasn’t until I went searching for something to go with the paper kit, that I realized these would be perfect.

I hope you enjoy the layout and be sure to stop by the blog and see the great projects and play along with us!

Rub a Dub

Welcome to Tuesday and our new challenge at Use It Tuesday.  Have I told you how much I love being on this DT??? I am just really enjoying using up my stash!  it’s been so long since I’ve bought anything new and I’m slowly working my way through the piles on my desk! :)

Today’s challenge is a goodie and I’m sure that almost everyone can relate!  Our challenge is to use an Uninked stamp! Don’t tell me you don’t have one!  I know you do..if you are anything like me, you have several…..

For the layout I created I used an Ali Edwards sentiment stamp set.  I bought it originally to use in my smashbooks, but I think it really works great for this layout!

Here’s my little man just a few months old…

I was just totally in love with this little bathrobe when we first got it! How cute right?? So I used the sentiment stamp set for the banners!  The DP is from my stash of course and although I don’t remember who made it, i do remember that it is actually a DP about a bachelorette party!  I just thought it reminded me of bubbles in a bath :)  The thickers and die cuts are from my stash as well and so are the little pearls.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to whip by the blog and check out the great projects the girls have this week…..some really great ones, and to play along as well.

Good morning!  I think Spring may actually be poking through now.  It has been the longest winter ever!

With Mother’s Day fast approaching here in North America, our theme Flowers for Mom is what’s up this week at Use it Tuesday.  A time to celebrate those women in our lives who were the big influence.   Maybe it wasn’t your mom, but your grandma, or perhaps an aunt or any other female who was like a Mother to you.

I have a layout for you today that highlights my pregnancy with Riley and how crazy I was waiting for him to come out.  In case you didn’t know he was 41+4 when I finally went into labour.  I felt like I was pregnant forever!!!

That’s my belly a couple weeks or so before he was born and then a pic of him a couple of days old!  All the product is from my stash, so I’m not entirely sure I know where they came from.  I hope that you enjoy the layout and please stop by the blog to see the other gorgeous projects the DT created this week.

It’s a Boy

Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend, even if I don’t really have anything planned.

Just sharing with you our new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Our last one for February hosted by Tina.  Next month I will be hosting the challenges and offering some great weekly prizes so make sure you check in each week.

A super easy challenge this week, we just want to see some designer paper on your project.  It can be old, new, one or two.  Head over to the blog to link up and to see what the DT has for you this week.

Here is mine for you this week, a cute little baby card.

Since I am on a buying freeze right now, everything on this card is from my stash.  The paper is sooo old.  It is from Hot off The Press’s 8×8 baby kit.  The image was from a swap I did ages ago and the sentiment sticker I’ve had for ages.  It was fun to make a 5×5 card this time instead of my usual 4.25×5.5.  I hope you like it.

My Guys

After a bit of a hiccup in our challenge blog (we believe we were hacked) we are up and running again at Creative Corner Challenges!  We have a new challenge for you hosted by Tina (who has a little prize for this week’s winner).  We want to see eyelets and/or brads on your projects this week.  It can be one or it can be many.

I have a layout for you this week of my husband and sweet boy.  This was taken a few years ago when we did our annual family vacation to Cuba.  It was the first one with Riley and so he is six months old in these pics.  We were just getting Riley used to the water and he took to it like a fish.  He still loves it!

The DP is from my stash and it’s the Bella Blvd Super Stud collection. I added a few brads in the circles and just a little bling on some edges.  I hope you like it.

Make sure you stop by the blog to enter this week and also to see the other creations by the DT for you this week.
