Well, looks like this is my first post of the 2022 year! I’m hoping that there will be a lot more this year then last. I’ve stepped down from a few of my DTs as these last few months were having me feel overwhelmed. I’m hoping to play a lot of catch up this year with various subscriptions, classes, challenges etc (I’m sure that I say that every year but I’m really going to try and do more for me!)
That being said, here is my first DT assignment for 2022! Our new challenge is up and as per usual, we are highlighting the Design Team’s favorite sketches over the last year.
We are highlighting Andrea’s favorite out the gate! Sketch #612
This is a favorite of mine as well. A simple sketch that is great with some scraps and a fun focal point.
So, using up the last little bit of Doodlebug from my latest card class I created this fun winter birthday card. I did have to add in just a bit of Photoplay Paper for the inner circle as I didn’t have a piece of DB that would fit. This stamp and die set is called Deck the Halls and I think it might be an exclusive set that we got for the class (designed by the ever talented Vicki Boutin).
Funny thing, when this sketch first was posted, I used Doodlebug Hello Spring collection for my card that week! Who knew!
I hope that you will head over to the blog to play along with our sketch this week and to check out the great projects the DT has for you as well.
Hey ! Can you believe we are in Christmas week??? Holy hannah! Are you getting excited? I know I am.
We have a special challenge for you this go round.
ANNUAL ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE!
With it being the last 2 weeks of the year, my amazing team uses this time for a much needed break to get themselves ready for the Christmas and New Year holidays, spend time with their families and recharge their creative batteries.
There are rules to this challenge, though…
1. Your project must be new, no back linking.
2. Your project must be PG rated.
3. It is anything goes, but must be crafty related. Feel free to share a crocheted/knitted project, other paper craft, mixed media, art journal, even planner pages you’re particularly proud of.
4. You may enter as many times as you’d like!We do have a prize, as usual. This year I’m giving a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!
I’m sharing with you another card that I created during a Photoplay card class that I took recently. Firstly I love this line of paper and embellishments, and secondly I’m just amazed at how easy it is to put together a fun card using only paper, stickers and some dimension adhesive! We all know I love layers and these stickers and some embossing just makes for some great interest .
I hope you will stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created. From my house to yours, Happy Holidays and all the best for the new year!
Hello! Today I bring you my final card as part of the Christmas Craft Creations Design Team. I have had such a wonderful time over the last couple of years being a part of this wonderful group of designers and I am going to miss them.
Our December challenge is in full swing and the theme is MAKE A SCENE! This is a fun challenge and so easy to do~
I did the PhotoPlay line Not a Creature was Stirring and as in yesterday’s post, it was so fun creating with just paper and stickers!
Looks like Santa was doing some holiday shopping in the city! The DT has some great projects to inspire you and so I hope you will stop by the blog and see what they have created and we can’t wait to see your own projects!
I really like this sketch! I only used 2 pieces of 6×6 paper but if you had one sheet that would totally work. I love the grey and white look of this. The cheer and the bow are from my stash but I think they are Pink Paislee. The DP is just from Michaels but it’s just so pretty!
I hope you like it and be sure to play along with us over on the blog! The rest of the DT has some amazing projects too!
Our theme this month is to make a fun fold project! Now I will be the first to admit that fun folds are not my forte! I do however, have a couple of Sizzix die sets that do the job for me, as is the case with this card!
I paired it with some Simple Stories Christmas paper from 2014 called Snow Fun! Yikes! I’ve got so much Christmas stuff, I forget sometimes how long I’ve had it! I don’t use this die set that much, and I have another similar but it is kind of fun! You just cut out all the pieces and put them together…easy peasy!
Make sure you stop by the blog and enter into this month’s challenge! The DT has some great projects for you too!
The little sticker was just from my stash but it fit perfectly for this card and those fun snowflakes.
Hopefully you are all getting excited for Christmas. I know it isn’t like how many of us imagined it would be this year, but in my house we are thankful for many things and we are looking forward to a bit of a scaled back version this year.
The design team has created some fabulous projects and I have a layout for you!
This layout is a crop picture that my girlfriends and I went to last year! The theme of the crop was Christmas! If I’m thinking correctly the majority of this layout was done using the PhotoPlay Paper Christmas line called O Canada Christmas from 2018 …It has some fun papers and icons..I love the moose.
I also used a few items from my stash. It’s just a really fun page!
I hope that you will create your own Christmas project this month and share it with us on the site!
Hey everyone! I am back after a rough bout of the flu! It had me laid up in bed for over a week and was not fun at all.
I am feeling much better now and able to get back to my crafting table and so I have a new project for you for Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Our we have a lovely slim line sketch for you this go round, but of course it could be modified for just a regular A2 size so don’t that scare you off!
Here is mine!
The slimline is from Mama Elephant and the stamped animals and sentiment are from Craft Addicts..I really love this grumpy animal set, it is just adorable. The tree is from another die that I got in a swap ages ago. I just used some Basic Grey paper for the focal piece as well as some cute silver little balls. I colored the images with my copics. I am sending this card to my swap partner for the Splitcoast Stampers Baker’s Dozen. I hope she likes it.
C’mon over to the blog and play along with us for this go round, we can’t wait to see what you create!
Ok everyone…time to work on this week’s Christmas project! At Christmas Craft Creations our new challenge has been up and you still have time to get in on it! Our theme this month is DIE CUTS! No doubt you have some of those lying around that you can use on a Christmas project!
Here’s mine for a Christmas card!
The image is from my stash as is the paper and twine. For the die cut I used some nesting dies from Sizzix. These are a go to set for me. I added some enamel dots and colored the adorable penguin with my copics. I hope you will swing by the blog and enter into the challenge that you can find here
