Bugaboo Birthday

Happy Wednesday Bloggers!  I hope you are all well.  I’ve had a sick household over this last week, which was kinda blech, as it was our long weekend and the official kickoff to camping season.

I haven’t done a lot of scrapping this weekend but I do have a cute card for you today!  It’s a new challenge week over at Penny’s and we have 2 fabulous sponsors for this week:

who is giving a luck winner 4 free images of choice

 and

who is offering a lucky winner a $12 gift certificate to their store!

Both companies have amazing digitals to use you can’t go wrong with either one!

This week I am using a digital stamp from Bugaboo!

This is a fabulous birthday cake stamp is handy to use for a quick birthday card and just some scraps from your basket.  This week I am pairing my anything goes theme at Penny’s with the Mojo Monday sketch.  Again, a really great sketch that you can use with scraps and just knock out a quick and fun card!

I just used some pieces from my scrap bucket (I even found some teal burlap in there to match my paper).  I colored the image just using my Sharpies this week and I added some stickles to every other layer, to bring in the sparkle from the chevron multi colored paper.  I also used my spellbinders to die cut.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to check out the blog for the other great projects from the DT and to play along with our anything goes challenge (it couldn’t be easier!).

A pretty fairy

Happy Friday everyone!  For us here in Canada, this is what we refer to as “May Long”…as in May long weekend or Victoria Day and unofficially the beginning of camping season!  I unfortunately am not camping this weekend, although my husband is heading to our farm in Saskatchewan to open it up for the year!

We have a fun new challenge for you at Brown Sugar Challenge blog..this week’s theme is WASHI!  Break it out and use it up everyone!

Our sponsor this week is All Dressed Up.  They have such lovely images!

My image is called Flower Fairy…I think she is just adorable.

So again, just using some DP from my stash bin.  My washi is from Simple Stories and it is the 2 strips of yellow dots on this card!  My sequins are from Neat and Tangled  (sweetheart sequin mix) and the sentiment is from Stampin Up (butterfly basics).  I colored the image with my copics.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog to play along and see what the rest of the DT has created to inspire you this week!

Weight Watchers & Wine

Happy Wednesday all!  It’s challenge day at Penny’s and to go with our anything goes theme, we have a couple of great sponsors again this week!

Our first sponsor is Oddball Art, who will be providing 3 images from their store for the winner this week!

Our second sponsor is Sparkle & Sprinkle who is also providing 3 images of the winners choice!

Sparkle N Sprinkle

My card today is using one from Sparkle & Sprinkle! It’s called Wine Friends.  It actually comes with 2 sentiments but this is the one that caught my eye when I saw it!

I did just some basic watercoloring for the image this week.  I used this week’s  sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The DP is just from my stash.  The sequins are from Stampin Up and I broke out my new Nuovo Dots in black for just a bit of an extra touch.

I cut the image/sentiment out using my CC designs die and my big shot.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and see the fabulous creations by the DT using images from both sponsors!  Jump in and play with our anything goes challenge! Can’t wait to see what you create!

Cute As A Button sponsor badge

This week’s winner will receive 2 single images from their store! Woohoo!

My card this week is using the image Alana Birthday Princess

I challenged myself with my card this week, to just use some things that were on or near my desk….really this is not much of a challenge as my desk is always full of stuff!  The DP, butterflies and bling are all from my stash!  I love the colors in this!  I colored the image just with my copics and although you can’t really see it in the picture, I also added some wink of stella to her gown and to her crown!

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to head over to the blog to play along and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Happy Mother’s Day

Wow! Friday already!  That means we have a new challenge for you at Brown Sugar!

Our sponsor this week is Morgan’s Artwork who will be giving the winner 3 digi images of their choice!

What is this week’s theme you ask?? Why MOTHER’S DAY!  An easy challenge and I bet many of you are already working on projects for mom!

Using an image called Cameo 8 for my card this week. (sorry I don’t have a watermarked image for you on this one!)

I tried to give it a bit of a vintage feel…I used water color pencils and some water color paper for the image. I then went over the edges with some Tim Holtz Vintage photo ink .  The DP is just from my stash and I distressed it a little bit as well.  To frame the image I just used a die cut that I received in a swap and some little flowers that I have had forever in my stash.  A few little pearls around and we are done.  The sentiment with the little hearts is from Hero Arts – Celebrate Everyday set.  I hope you like it, and please stop by the blog this week and let us know what you are creating!

My card for this week is using this  image from Paper Creator called How about a Hug!  I just thought that the image was really adorable and it could, again, be a really versatile image.  I love that they are pre-colored!

I challenged myself this week to just use the things that were already on my desk!

so I paired it wish some textured cardstock that have these great swiss dots on them.  I also used the Spring  6×6 pack from Echo Park and some cute little Doodlebug sprinkles.  I added the sentiment just from some fonts that I already had in my computer.  I didn’t want to make this too embellished as I am sending it in the mail to a friend!

I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the blog so that you can see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with to inspire you this week!

I used some Stampin Up paper that I had on my desk from another project.  I wanted to use it up and it was perfect for some simple layers.  The sentiment is from the Greatest Greetings stamp set also from SU.  I added a touch of bling from my stash and a little bit of glossy accents to make those cute buttons stand out more.  I die cut the images using a CC Designs die.

I hope you enjoy the card and remember to play along on the blog with this week’s Anything Goes challenge!  Remember, there is also a DT call out, so if you think you might like to join, don’t forget to add DT to your entry when you link up!
