It’s a new challenge at Red Carpet Studios this week. Our inspiration piece this week is just full of colors, ideas and such. The Book of Life! I haven’t seen this movie but my son has and he said it was fabulous!
Good Morning everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’ve been so busy with work as well as family sickness that I’ve not had a lot of time to create and post lately.
Our new challenge is up at Use it Tuesday this week. Our theme You Can’t Touch This, challenges you to use a beloved favorite that you’ve just not been able to break down and use yet….go ahead, it’s relatively painless 🙂
For me, I have only 3 sheets of this gorgeous Madame Boutique paper by Kaisercraft. I also have some matching die cuts and I’ve been holding onto them for a long time. After the initial shock of breaking into them wore off, I was glad I did use them for this layout. The picture was on a different layout that I did, but never really liked. I really like this one so much better.
This picture is of me as a baby with my mom, my grandma, and my great-grandma holding me. This is one of my favorite pictures of all time, the 4 generations of women on my mother’s side. Sadly my great-grandma passed when I was very young so I don’t have a lot of pictures of her. All the other elements on this page are from my stash. The paper flowers I made with some old book pages that were sent to me in a swap! I really love how this turned out. I hope you will stop by the blog and play with us. There are a lot of great projects this week, AND we are having a design team call!!! All the details are on the blog! I do hope you will apply.

The image can be found here. The paper is from Kaisercraft and Simple Stories. The snowflakes were cut with my sizzix die and the green floral ribbon is from Walmart. I paired him up with Season’s Greetings circular sentiment.
The DP is from the KaiserCraft December 25th collection from a couple of years ago. Hello all! Welcome to Monday here on my blog. It’s a new challenge at Lollipop Crafts and this week is an Anything Goes challenge. So it’s just for fun and we get to highlight our top three on Sunday! Let your creative juices run wild! I know the DT has some wicked inspiration for you so don’t forget to stop by the blog and leave them some love!
So as you know, I belong to Swap-bot.com which I love because of all the different card swaps they do there. I have one that is a card swap with a twist…so my partner actually sends me the embellishments to put on the card, I make it and send it back. So I was sent some ribbon, a flower,a button and a brad. Not a lot to work with, but luckily they all matched. So this is the card that I created inspired by the supplies I was sent. Someone had sent me this stamped image in a swap so it seemed like a good one to use up. I cut it out using my Spellbinders and inked the edges with Broken China Distress Ink (BTW have you seen the new distress colors for spring IN LOVE!!!!). I can’t wait to get mine. The DP is from the Kaisercraft Blae and Ivy set which is really pretty blues and greens! I colored her using my ever trusty copics!
Here’s the card
