Hey Gang! Mosey on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog where you will find this week’s awesome sketch and a spot to enter your creation!
This sketch shows circles but really, you could use any shape that you wanted to for that element!
is in the house…well kind of. Our theme this week at RCS is to use superheroes! We are supporting breast cancer month and all of those real live superheros that battle a disease or personal hardship each and every day! We salute you. We want to see your projects that salute the superheros you love, fictional or real!
I had a bit of a struggle with this challenge until I went to trusty ol Pinterest and found a great source of inspiration. I found a great card to case, and I of course cannot find where it was I got it from, so if it looks familiar and you know who the source is, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due!
In a unique step for me, almost my whole card was made using just cardstock. Only a small strip of DP was used. I hope you like it and please, come and play along with us!
Hey everyone! It’s soon to be Oscar time. Did you know that the late Shirley Temple Black names the statue? She said it looked like her uncle Oscar 🙂
Our challenge for you this week at Red Carpet Studio is to incorporate the theme of the Academy Awards into your project….is it the color gold, or perhaps a trophy that you won? Is one of your favorite stars this year’s nominee. So many possibilities. Our DT has created some great projects for you this week so make sure you check out the blog.
As for me, I was inspired by the color gold. I don’t use it a lot on my projects but I do love gold glitter paper! It is so fun and just adds some pop to my projects. I decided to create an anniversary card for a friend.
Since it is going to be mailed, I wanted to keep it simple. As well, I am working on my CAS cards so this fit perfectly. I used just some basic cardstock colors and an anniversary stamp that I’ve had for awhile. It’s definitely my go to stamp for anniversary cards. Just a block of gold glitter paper to set it off. I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to play along with us this week.
Happy Thursday everyone! I have a new card for you for Delightful Thursdays! Make sure you head over to the Digital Delights blog to check out what the DT has for you today. Delightful challenges is also having a Giving Thanks challenge this weeks so don’t forget to enter as well.
I used one of Wendy’s colored images for you this week. It’s the Fall House image which I thought was really pretty. I then paired it with the fall sentiments.
With the image I used some paper from Basic Grey. I inked it with some Tim Holtz Ranger Ink in spiced marmalade. I used a border punch as well as a Sizzix flourish die. The sentiment is cut out with a Stampin up Punch. I also added some ribbon and bling from my stash as well. The big leaf is from Walmart.
I hope you like today’s card.

It’s a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week. Thanks to all of our participants for last week’s summer challenge. Great job to everyone and the winners are posted on the blog. This week, Ria has given us the challenge of adding handmade flowers to our projects. A great challenge to be sure.
I have used the DP and image from Sarah’s new Oz collection which can be found here. This collection is adorable! I printed out the clip art version of Glinda rather than doing my own coloring this time. I cut her out and added some stickles to her wings for a bit of sparkle. I made my flowers using ribbon rather than paper for this challenge. I really liked how they turned out and I just added a little pearl to the centre of each one. I used my new MS punch that I picked up yesterday to add a bit of border to my card. The sentiment came as part of a swap. Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your projects this week.

The DP is Basic Grey’s Nook and Pantry Lemon Meringue Pie…The Hello Kitty die was a Christmas present from a swap that I did and the stamp is from my stash. The buttons are as well. So today’s marks my debut as part of the Sarah Hurley DT. Our theme this week is Flowers…
Without further adieu here is mine… (shout out to Lori Padberg. It was one of her creations that inspired mine. I loved the simple look of it)
I used some digital paper & sentiment from Sarah’s line which can be found here.
The flower is from my stash and I just inked it up a bit with some red ink. I did some die cutting as well for the flowers and used the spellbinders to showcase the flower. And of course some embossing using the fleur de lis embossing folder from Cuttlebug. A really simple card but I quite like it. Welcome to Monday! It’s challenge day at The Crazy Challenge and this week, we’re looking for all the lovely ladies out there! I must be on a vintage kick, which for me is surprising, because I never really thought of myself as the vintage type..anyway, here is my card.
The image is downloaded from the internet (I really wish I had a stash of vintage images from a book or something). The music sheet is left over from a Tim Holtz Christmas Tag..it was printed out onto vellum and then inked and distressed to give it a vintagy feel. The bling, pearl strand, ribbons and flowers are all from my stash.
