Coming to you live! No not really, this post was prepared yesterday! LOL

Today is Tuesday and you know what that means! Tuesday Morning Sketches is up and running with this week’s hot sketch!

Take a look!

Not gonna lie, this is a perfect sketch for scraps! Especially if they vary in color! This is easy to mass produce and takes no time at all.

So my friend gifted me that Annie’s Attic card kit that I highlighted a card from yesterday, remember? Well here’s another one. For this one, I used my own sentiment and a couple of crystal dots but everything else came from the kit! I love how it co-ordinates!

Now the Design Team has amazing projects for you this week, as always right! Head on over to the blog to play along and also to leave them some love. I challenge you to use just some little scraps from your craft table left over from a previous project, or if you are like me, you have a box with some paper scraps in it. Pick out some paper and build your card around that! I can’t wait to see what you do with this sketch!

Oh boy! These days of summer are fading fast everyone. Soon it is going to be fall and my son will be going back to school. He’s less than thrilled, let me tell you!

Ok, here’s this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches

This has a fun prompt for the background doesn’t it?

I’m sure a lot of you may feel the urge to do embossing for that background, or maybe a background die of some sort? I went for some stenciling. Using the Joseph’s Coat technique I created this fun background with a Stampin Up leafy stencil. I was trying to use some fall-ish colors for this card.

The sentiment is from Craft Addicts Too and I just got it in last week. The sequins are from my stash as is the ribbon.

Head on over to our blog to play along in this week’s sketch. While you are there, check out the amazing projects from the rest of the DT.

Hello my pretties! Are you ready for this week’s sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches?? Pretty right?

I decided to go with a different orientation for my card than the sketch! I’ve been playing with some new dies that I’ve had sitting on my desk for awhile. I believe the FRIEND is from one of my SCT samplers. The butterfly one I got recently and honestly, I thought it cut the butterflies out openly but I’m kinda glad it doesn’t. This gives you the option of leaving them closed or adjusting the wings a little bit.

The paper is just a plaid from Lawn Fawn and then the little iridescent confetti is Studio Katia. I decided to use some ribbon from my desk instead of the banner for the middle to anchor my sentiment. I’m loving this black embossed background and then these soft subtle colors.

Ok, now it’s your turn. Head over to the blog, play along with our challenge and be sure to check out the projects from the DT.

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been absent. I have been at the farm and as you know, limited internet and it’s hard to upload using my phone. I’m back now and raring to go with some new projects for you.

Here is our latest challenge at the Make the Cards Challenge Blog. It’s a color challenge for you and I really like this color combo!

I took a few bits and bobs to the farm to scrapbook with, but I’ll admit, I didn’t actually do a lot. I mostly read…LOL

I did make this card while I was there, though. I have a big tin with a bunch of die cuts in it, and found these flowers which had the right colors. I also took a bunch of pre-embossed sheets and so this one with leaves fit perfect. I always have some sentiments on hand in various colors because you just never know when you will need one! I also decided to go with a 4.5 x4.5 sized card, just to shake it up, again being inspired by the shape of that color challenge block.

I hope you like the card and be sure to stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for you and to play along with us. Can’t wait to see what you create!

Hey Gang! Mosey on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog where you will find this week’s awesome sketch and a spot to enter your creation!

This sketch shows circles but really, you could use any shape that you wanted to for that element!

Blew the dust off of my flowers and brads for this one! I also can’t remember the last time I used some ribbon on a project either! I am almost done working through the Harvest Delight Collection from Creative Memories that was in my October 2019 SCT sampler. I used a punch for the leaves and the flowers and brads were just from my stash. A quick and easy card from a perfect sketch! Come play along with us!

2CC – September

Wow! Here we are going into September everyone. Where did the summer go right? Ready for this month’s challenge over at 2 Crafty Critters?? It’s always anything goes as long as you have a critter in there somewhere!

Our sponsor this month is QKR Stampede Digital Stamps.

May be an image of text that says 'QKR Stampede The Somewhat Cute & Somewhat Quirky Rubber & Digi Stamps'

I am using their stamp Being Silly for my new baby card.

I found all this paper pack for babies and I have no idea where it came from but I liked the colors of the pink/purple/green.

I colored him with my copics and then cut him out and cut out a black outline for him, to give some definition. I just wanted to do some simple layers but I did circles and rectangles for some added interest. I brought in that green with the enamel dots from Your Next Stamp and the ribbon from my stash. I pulled the sentiment from my sentiment cup but I think it might be Taylored Expressions.

I hope you like it and can’t wait to see what you create when you play along with us.

And We are Back….

Hey all! I am back today with a new challenge up at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge blog! We took a bit of a break over the winter and we are now back and rarin’ to go.

So here is this month’s inspiration photo!

Lotst to play around with here!

For my card today I was really drawn to those eyeballs!

I broke open my Echo Park Trick or Treat paper pack for this one because it had that perfect jar of eyeballs. I also loved the black/orange/white color combo. I actually put glossy accents on those eyeballs to give them a bit more dimension. The ribbon and the Nuevo dots are from my stash. I hope that you can come and play along with us over on the blog and see the amazing projects the rest of the DT has created to inspire you.

A Warm Joy

Have you stopped by the Christmas Crafts All Year Round blog yet?  Our new monthly challenge is up….

Normally when you think of Christmas, you think cold and snow…this month, we want you to think WARM!  Use warm colors on your project

No automatic alt text available.

…reds, yellows, oranges.

This was a bit of a tricky one for me.  I scoured all my Christmas stuff and I didn’t really have anything in those warm colors. Then I happened upon some sheets for a Simple Stories album…since I don’t do mini albums, I decided to cut the sheets I wanted to create my card instead.  One of those sheets was this really cool star die cut in a glitter cardstock…I thought this would make an awesome layer.  I did some fussy cutting on another sheet for the flowers and then I picked up a new die cut earlier this year, that I haven’t used yet.  It’s from Penny Black called “Joy to the World”.  I wanted to add a bit of orange in there so I cut it out of orange glitter paper and added just some plain orange ribbon from my stash.

I colored the image with my copics.  I used some fun coffee paper from Your Next Stamp and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. The ribbon and sequins are just from my stash.

I hope you will play along with us in our Anything Goes challenge this week!  See you soon!

Merry & Bright

Hello all! Fresh back from Disneyland which was amazing!  I’m going to be working on my son’s autograph album and a scrap album of the trip so hopefully I will have layouts in the near future to share with you.

For now though, it’s a new challenge day at Penny’s.  Our sponsor this week is Cute as a Button .  This week’s prize is 2 single images from their store.

Taking a break from my autumn cards I created a fun little Christmas card using just supplies that I received in a recent swap.  It was fun to challenge myself to only use what was in the box! For coloring of the image, I just did some basic water coloring and I added a bit of glossy accents to the tree ornaments.  I hope you like it and I hope you will play along with us for the challenge, as always the theme is anything goes!
