Ya, it’s still cold and snowy here. Sigh. I’ve about had it with winter. One of the down falls of living in Calgary, it’s winter for like 9 months out of the year it seems!
Today I have a fun card for the Kraftin Kimmie Challenge! It’s been awhile since I’ve used my KK stamps so I thought it was time.
The theme is glitter! There is also a sketch on the blog that I used as well. You can find the deets on their challenge here.
The stamp is from Kraftin Kimmie called One Cup at A time. I think I bought this one about a year and a half ago, because I wanted to start doing all these coffee inspired cards and then I kinda just forgot about it! I’m glad I brought it out again, and it definitely has been getting a work out. I paired it with the Stampin Up coffee papers (I’m trying to use these up now, so you’ll be seeing a lot of coffee cards in the next few days). This was a pinterest inspired card, which I altered a bit to fit the sketch. I used a square of glittered cardstock for the challenge in a coffee brown color (again, something else that I’ve not been utilizing enough). I also added a few Nuevo dots for a bit of texture. I also used the Stampin Up Hardwood stamp to ink onto one of the banners ( I actually had to crack this one open as I’d not even used it since I bought it last year) as well as the stampin up banners framelits. I hope you like it, and don’t forget to play along in their challenge!

I know, no one wants to hear about Christmas at the beginning of April. Don’t worry I hope to have some fun spring like projects for you as the month progresses. In the meantime, our newest challenge is up at Christmas Crafts All Year Round and our theme is all white. It’s ok to have a smidgen of of color but try to make it as much white as possible!
Here’s my card this month. I got this gorgeous white snowflake in a swap that I have been dying to use. I paired it with a snowfall embossing folder and the peace die from the Stampin Up Christmas Greetings thinlits. I actually cut out about 5 of them and glued them together to give them a bit of dimension and texture. To finish it off, I added some Nuvo dots. I hope you like it, and please play along with us this month, to win our great prize!
I hope things are a little less white where you are, then it is here. We have snow today! It’s hard to believe that it is Easter weekend when it looks so much like Christmas!
For my Color Crazy Craft Challenge this week (sponsored by Polkadoodles) I went with some spring colors!
I’ve used Polkadoodles Crocus, the Darling Buds. I colored her simply with some copics and just used a few pieces of DP from my stash. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to her dress and the flowers in her hair. The stamp is just one from my stash and the resin flower is just from Michaels.
I hope you will play along with us on the blog – dont’ forget, you must have a colored image on your project in order to play along and win the sponsored prize!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hey there, just wanted to show you a quick card that I made with some of the scraps from the layout for SCT. I love using up scraps..I will try to make as many cards as I can with whatever papers I have left over! Right down to the last scrap! LOL
This one was also fun, because I got to play with some of my embossing folders again…another tool that I’ve not used in awhile!
I hope you like it!
Hello one and all! I have a new layout for you today to go along with our new challenge up at Use Your Stuff! This week’s theme is border punches!
I’ve not been using mine regularly so it was nice to pull them out and play a bit.
My layout today is also the March Scrapbook & Cards Today 365 2018 class. I must say, now that I have committed to doing these classes, I have been finding my love for scrapbooking again, and it’s a nice change from doing cards all the time.
For this layout I pulled out a kit that I had created several months ago for a crop and just never got around to using. The papers are from Everyday Circus by Fancy Pants, as well as some Simple Stories and Heidi Swapp mixed in. My border punch is EK Success (and I had to practically blow the dust off of it!.)
The embellishments stars are cut from the DP and I also used a few embellishement and die cut pieces from October Afternoon’s Saspirilla collection (I’ve been holding onto these for awhile now), and some recollections word chipboard as well as some Recollection word stickers. The washi tape is just from my stash.
I hope you will play along with us on the blog! Can’t wait to see what you create!

Can you believe it is March already? One quarter through 2018! Wow! I know we just had Christmas not too long ago, but the beginning of the month marks a new challenge for Christmas Crafts All Year Long. Since I work on my cards for craft fairs all year long, I have a new card for you!
Our theme this month is Flowers! You can create any Christmas project you wish, as long as you have flowers on it.
For my card I used just things that I’ve had in my stash. I’m slowly getting it down, and I find I have more Christmas stuff than anything else. I’m not sure where the DP is from since it was part of a swap from SplitCoast Stampers, but the rub on (yes! I said rub on, does anyone else still use these?? ) is from Making Memories. The flowers are Prima. The small bling are just from the $$ store. It’s just a simple card with a great design and easy to duplicate or mass produce.
I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the team has going for you this month!
Hey you! Thanks for stopping by! Today I’ve got a fun card for you for my guest spot on the Color Crazy Challenge Blog. I’m using an image from Lemon Shortbread called Hot Cuppa Girl. I just colored her with some basic markers. I wasn’t really going for any shading or definition. My DP is just random sheets from swaps that I have done recently. I paired it with a sentiment from the Cup of Tea set from My Favorite Things. A few Nuvo dots to finish it off and voila! I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!
