KBD- Spotlight

Happy Sunday everyone!  We are well in January now and I hope that it is starting off great for you.

It’s my spotlight day on the Kitty Bee Designs blog, and I decided to make a fun Valentine’s day card with the cute Sushi Buddies, which can be found in the store here.

I used the papers from a couple of DP’s I got last year in a swap – Pebbles My Funny Valentine and also My American Crafts xoxo.  I also pulled out a fun heart doily from my stash.

I colored the images with my copics, and the sentiment I just printed out on my computer.  I also added a simple heart brad and few small gems to finish it off.  I hope you like it!  Don’t forget to stop by the Kitty Bee blog to play along in our current challenge.

Coffee

Hello again! What?  Two posts in a row..can it really be?? Yep, this is me trying to be more creative this year (my one word for the year if you must know) and trying to do a lot more stuff in my craft room than I did last year, and that is including layouts as well as cards.

My big crafty resolution for this year, is to start doing all those online classes that I have paid for and not attempted yet….I think I have 5 or 6 just from Scrapbook & Cards Today (who by the way launched their 365 Class for 2018!  Here are the deets! )  This double-page, sketch-based class features exclusive PageMaps sketches, trendy techniques (all spelled out in photos), a monthly bonus card, cutting files, complete instructions and so much more.  All taught by some of the biggest names in the biz…really fun and new this year, there is a monthly sponsored prize for doing the challenge! How fun is that????

Anyway, here are a couple of cards that I made for a swap on Splitcoast Stampers.  The theme was Caffeine.

I finally broke open my Stampin Up Coffee Suite Designer papers and used the SU The Perfect Blend stamp set as well as the Kraftin Kimmie – One Cup at a Time.  The sentiments are from Stampin up and Paper Smooches.  I added in some small embellising on the first one, with some Nuvo drops.  Since I was mailing these out, I wanted to keep them as flat and simple as possible.

Thanks for stopping by!

CCAYR- A Wintery Thanks

Here we are! Our first challenge of 2018 on the Christmas Cards All Year Round blog!  Our theme is THANKS!  In keeping with our challenge, it has to have a Christmasy/winter theme to it.

I had fun creating this card – I used some left over pieces from a card kit that I got from Scrapshotz.  The die cut deer I received in a swap and I love it!  I added some glittered accents in red for a pop of color.  Also, the thanks is from Stampin -up I believe. A few little gems to finish it off.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and play along with us! We can’t wait to see what you create!

KBD – Spotlight

Hello all! These holidays sure take the time away from my crafting! I know it’s been awhile.  I’m really hoping to be posting a lot more regularly going forward.

Today is my highlight day on the Kitty Bee Designs blog!  I am using this adorable guy called Snowman Panda which can be found in the store here

I just went with some simple copic coloring and lots of layers.  For some added oomph I did some glitter paper layers, just for a bit of sparkle.  I finished it off with some Nuvo drops in red and then a few little holiday embellishments.

I decided to do some non-traditional colors for this card.  I did some smooching with my Tim Holtz distress inks in picked raspberry and peacock feathers.  The stamps are from Hampton Arts.  I think he’s just adorable.

KBD # 108 – Thanks

Hello, Hello, Hello!

I’m a bit late posting this!  We have a new challenge up at Kitty Bee Designs!  Our sponsors this week are Lemon Shortbread

Sasayaki Glitter!

I am using a cute little image from Sasayaki for my card today!

I just used up some small pieces of DP from my stash.  I added a bit of glitter paper for some fun.  The image is colored with copics and I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the pumpkins and the hat.  (Now the hat normally  has a little spider that hangs off of it, but I decided to cut it off for my card).  The sentiment is just a die cut  from Your Next Stamp.

Be sure to stop by the blog to see the other great projects from our DT and to link up your own THANKS projects!
