Hey everyone! I’m happy to be doing my first post for the Southern Girls Challenge! I recently made the Design Team and am super excited to be a part of such a wonderful group.

Our challenge for you this week is called ” We All Love a Little Metal Now and Then”. In case you didn’t guess, the challenge is to use metal on your project!
These photos were from the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival from 2016. It’s was an 80s theme – right up my alley! I used a bunch of different papers from my stash, as well as a ticket that I created at Crop & Create 3 years ago from Vicki Boutins Layers class! I thought the colors worked with this layout!. My metal component are some metal brads in my clusters, as well as a cute little metal clip! I’ve not used brads in awhile, so it was nice to break them out again!
This layout was also created for my August SCT 365 Class! I’ve missed a few months so I’m going to be working backward a bit to catch up!
I hope you like the layout. Don’t forget to stop by the blog here to play along with this week’s challenge.
If you are interested in the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine’s 356 Class you can check out the deets here.
Hello Monday Peeps! Have you stopped by the UYS blog today? Our new challenge is up! This week we are using triangles!
So I decided to go with a layout today because I really wanted to try a background die cut. I came across this one from Bits and Pieces . which I uploaded to my Cricut Explore Air and then cut out. I thought it would be fun to do a Disney Layout and back the pieces with my Disney papers. The actual diecut is called Shattered Glass but it has some fun triangle pieces to it.
I used DP from Simple Stories & Echo Park, as well as their embellishments. The sentiments are die cuts from Stampin Up and the internet.
I hope you like the layout and feel free to stop by the blog and play along with this week’s challenge!

Hello one and all! I have a new layout for you today to go along with our new challenge up at Use Your Stuff! This week’s theme is border punches!
I’ve not been using mine regularly so it was nice to pull them out and play a bit.
My layout today is also the March Scrapbook & Cards Today 365 2018 class. I must say, now that I have committed to doing these classes, I have been finding my love for scrapbooking again, and it’s a nice change from doing cards all the time.
For this layout I pulled out a kit that I had created several months ago for a crop and just never got around to using. The papers are from Everyday Circus by Fancy Pants, as well as some Simple Stories and Heidi Swapp mixed in. My border punch is EK Success (and I had to practically blow the dust off of it!.)
The embellishments stars are cut from the DP and I also used a few embellishement and die cut pieces from October Afternoon’s Saspirilla collection (I’ve been holding onto these for awhile now), and some recollections word chipboard as well as some Recollection word stickers. The washi tape is just from my stash.
I hope you will play along with us on the blog! Can’t wait to see what you create!

I don’t usually make resolutions but this year, the only one I made was to actually do some of the online classes that I had purchased over the last year or so. I have 6 from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine!
The newest one – SCT-365 2018 is a monthly class where you can do a 2 pg layout as well as a card, designed by some of the biggest and best in the Papercrafting world!
I am so happy to be on track for this year…I’ve done both January and now February! I’m slowly working through a bunch of photos and kits, the majority of which are from trips so you are going to see a lot of those in the upcoming months!
These classes are super easy to do – with pictures, detailed instructions, free cut files and exclusive sketches! You can find all the details here! Give one a try! You won’t be disappointed and you will be pushing through layouts and cards in no time!
Monday Monday~ it’s here again everyone and so is this week’s challenge up at Use Your Stuff, this week’s hostess wants you to use 5 things in your stash that haven’t been cracked in awhile….it could be some DP, a tool, embellishments, maybe even a sketch? Get creative and then we want to see it!
Here is mine, I chose
- DP from Crate Paper called Snow Day that has been in my stash for years now
- Enamel dots from Simple Stories
- Pearls from Prima
- Merry Christmas stickers
- A cartridge (Create a Critter 2) in my design space that I haven’t used in at least 3 years!
- Let’s see what you create now, head on over to the blog to see what the other Design Team members pulled out of their stashes and show us what you have been hiding in yours! 🙂

Hey all! I wanted to share with you a layout I created for the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival hosted each fall by Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. It’s actually up on their Facebook Page today!
Registration for Carnival starts August 1st for this year. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend this year (the first time in 7 years) as that is the week that we are at Disneyland with our son. Check out their blog for more information. This is such a fun time!
I love this layout! The journaling reads: : We just have to have that one shot of the singer’s butt that just makes you snap it and say, oh Yeah! That’s the Money Shot”
We can’t help it, whenever we got to a concert we have to take a pic of the singers butts..it’s like a bad habit we can’t break!
I want to say the DP is Echo Park, but it might be October Afternoon…
Some of these lovelies include Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Christ Young, Rob Thomas & Keith Urban!
I hope it makes you smile!
Our challenge is up at Use Your Stuff this week, a popular theme of flowers. Good thing I’ve been working with the Moonstruck collection this week from Pink Paislee. It has tonz of flowers!
Here is my layout for this week! This is all Pink Paislee except for the Thickers which are from American Crafts and match this collection just beautifully! I hope you enjoy it and will play along with us on the blog. We can’t wait to see what you create!
