Sarah Hurley Challenge #45 Colouring

It’s a new challenged at the Sarah Hurley Challenge blog today and this week we are being sponsored by

Yay! Robyn has graciously donated

5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice.  A very awesome prize to be sure.  Here is my project this week using Robyn’s best friends bunnies

I cut the tag using my cricut and added a punched border, some inking, my baker’s twine (from my Whisker Graphics win on FB) a button flower, paper flowers and some jute.  The image was colored (since this is our theme after all) using my Copics!  I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to stop by the blog to enter your own colored project to win.

It’s a Circle Frenzy

This week’s new challenge at Sarah Hurley is all about circles..whether they are doodled, die cut, freehand, punched, dots or a round shaped anything..we want to see it! All the details can be found on the Sarah Hurley Challenge blog this week which you can find here, and you’ll want to see all the great DT inspiration for you this week…You have until July 10th to enter your project to win a great prize from Sarah…

Here’s what I have for you this week.  I used my circle punches to just cut out a variety of cardstock and patterned paper from Sarah’s Woodland Whimsies and Wonderland CD’s.  The image which I colored with copics was sent to me in a swap.  I added just a bit of embossing with my scor-buddy. To finish it off, I just used some tiny type alphas in keeping with the circular theme.  I hope you like it and I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this week’s challenge.

A Handmade Challenge on Sarah Hurley

It’s a new challenge at Sarah Hurley this week.  Thanks to all of our participants for last week’s summer challenge.  Great job to everyone and the winners are posted on the blog.  This week, Ria has given us the challenge of adding handmade flowers to our projects.  A great challenge to be sure.

I have used the DP and image from Sarah’s new Oz collection which can be found here.  This collection is adorable!  I printed out the clip art version of Glinda rather than doing my own coloring this time.   I cut her out and added some stickles to her wings for a bit of sparkle.  I made my flowers using ribbon rather than paper for this challenge.  I really liked how they turned out and I just added a little pearl to the centre of each one.  I used my new MS punch that I picked up yesterday to add a bit of border to my card.  The sentiment came as part of a swap.  Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your projects this week.

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

The Design Team was given her Bloomin’ Lovely kit to work with and oh wow! The images on this are soooo pretty! Perfect for all your spring and summer layouts, whether you do digital projects or not~!  I don’t make digital layouts but I had such fun printing off these elements to use for my cards and layouts. You need to stop by the SH blog to see all the great DT inspiration for you!

Here is the card that I made for the summer themed challenge.  I know my card says Happy Spring, but believe me, here in Calgary Spring and Summer are pretty much the same thing..LOL you don’t get a lot of distinction when you have snow up until May!

I printed off the balloon, flowers and grass and then cut them out.  I added a bit of inking to the balloon and some stickles to the flower to add a bit of dimension.  The DP is also from GallimaufryUK.  I added a bit of fibre to accent the grass and the sky and some little letters that were given to me in a swap.  I am looking forward to seeing your entries into this week challenge, it runs until June 12th so you have lots of time to enter!

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

The sketch is from the Scrapbook & Cards Today Cardmaps book!  I’ve used Sarah’s papers and the ribbon, flowers and brads are all from my stash as was the thank you rub on.. I used some of Sarah’s digital papers for the balloons (which can be found in the store here.  I embossed the balloons using the Houndstooth Cuttlebug folder and then raised a few of them with pop dots.  I added some thick twine to use as strings and then tied it with the red twine.  A simple sentiment from Sarah’s store and the card is finished.  The edge embossing was done with my Scor-Buddy.  Just a nice touch I think.  I hope you enjoy this card and don’t forget to head over to the challenge blog to play along for that great prize this week from Handy Hippo!
