TMS #730

Hey there! I’m back with a great new sketch for you that is up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog now! I hope you will play along with us!

I didn’t go too fancy with this sketch. I had been working on a card kit that I got at a recent crop so I used up some extra bits that I had for it.

I also used some dies in my collection to do the different layers and the snowman stamp is one that I picked up at a thrift store and just love!

I hope you like this week’s card. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to give the rest of the DT some much deserved love for their creations this week!

TMS #677

This is our new sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog for you to play along with! It’s such an easy sketch and so easy to go from really simple to quite elaborate depending on your style.

I went somewhere in the middle….

I was making a flip book over the weekend using some simple stories, so I just used some of my left over pieces for this card. I thought it turned out quite cute for a holiday card. I decided to just round a couple of corners for the squares, just for a bit of added interest on it.

Be sure to head over to the blog and see the great stuff that the DT has for you!

Happy New Year one and all!

Well, looks like this is my first post of the 2022 year! I’m hoping that there will be a lot more this year then last. I’ve stepped down from a few of my DTs as these last few months were having me feel overwhelmed. I’m hoping to play a lot of catch up this year with various subscriptions, classes, challenges etc (I’m sure that I say that every year but I’m really going to try and do more for me!)

That being said, here is my first DT assignment for 2022! Our new challenge is up and as per usual, we are highlighting the Design Team’s favorite sketches over the last year.

We are highlighting Andrea’s favorite out the gate! Sketch #612

This is a favorite of mine as well. A simple sketch that is great with some scraps and a fun focal point.

So, using up the last little bit of Doodlebug from my latest card class I created this fun winter birthday card. I did have to add in just a bit of Photoplay Paper for the inner circle as I didn’t have a piece of DB that would fit. This stamp and die set is called Deck the Halls and I think it might be an exclusive set that we got for the class (designed by the ever talented Vicki Boutin).

Funny thing, when this sketch first was posted, I used Doodlebug Hello Spring collection for my card that week! Who knew!

I hope that you will head over to the blog to play along with our sketch this week and to check out the great projects the DT has for you as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Do you Want to Build a Snowman….

Ya, we are into Tuesday.

Have you popped over to the Cardz4Guyz blog yet?  This week’s challenge is up – it’s SNOWMEN!  Yeah!

So I have been trying to use up bits and bobs that seem to be all over my desk as of late.  So for a fun challenge, I only used things for this card that were within arms reach and I think that it turned out really well.

The DP was in my scrap box and the image was one of the ones in my image box  ( I do a lot of image swaps with my FB group!).  I did a bit of coloring on the snow man and then added the sentiment and some red enamel dots.  Not a fancy card but a lovely one just the same.

I hope that you play along with us over at C4G!  I can’t wait to see what you create!

Hey again!

Our new monthly challenge is up at Brown Sugar Challenges.  Our theme is Breast Cancer Awareness.  I know last month was the actual month for this, but we are extending it one more month because it is such an important issue.

Our sponsor is Di’s Digis

Picture

For my card I just chose to create a Christmas card but kept the pink theme for BCA.

I colored the image with my copics.  The DP is from Snow Day by Crate Paper and the PEACE sentiment is from Stampin Up.,  I added a few sequins and a few little pearl dots from Nuvo.  I hope you like it and please play along with us this month!  Remember you can use anything that makes you think of BCA – the color pink, the ribbon symbol, perhaps it is an image that you found to help a friend or loved one as they battle this terrible disease.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

A vintage Christmas

Hello everyone.

We have a great new challenge at DigiHaven for you today.  It’s a fun Christmas challenge.  All you have to do is use a free digi with a Christmas theme.  The digi should remain free for the duration of the challenge which is 2 weeks.  We have a prize for you this week as well, which you can find on the blog!

Here is the card I have today.

The image can be found here.  The paper is from Kaisercraft and Simple Stories.  The snowflakes were cut with my sizzix die and the green floral ribbon is from Walmart.  This is the first time that I’ve used it and I added some red bling to spruce it up a bit.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to join the challenge.

Also, you still have time to get in our DT Call.  If you love using digital images then this is for you.  All the details can be found here.  i look forward to seeing your creations on the blog.

Lollipop Challenge #61-Happy Holidays!

Wow! So hard to believe that it is almost Christmas.  We don’t even have our tree up yet!  Best get on that!

So, it’s our final challenge of the year at Lollipop Crafts before the Christmas break!  We are doing a Happy Holidays theme this week.  I have pretty much finished making the Christmas cards for the season.  Just a few here and there for family and friends.

Here is my card for you this week

I had an order to make some humorous Christmas cards for a lady.  I made up about 14 of them for her to choose from.  I printed the image off of the internet and the snowflakes were made using my BG sizzix snowflake die which I just love.  A bit of Velvet ribbon.  The DP is My Mind’s Eye the Merry days of Christmas from a couple of years ago.  Finally cracked that baby open!  A little bit of bling finishes it off.  Make sure you stop by the blog today and see the rest of the DT creations.  We are being sponsored this week by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.

Come and Get it Challenge: Red , Green & Your Choice (mine is blue)

Dream Valley Challenges: Christmas

Guest DT at PaperCrafting Journey

Thank you to Paper Crafting Journey for having me as their Guest Designer again.

This week there is a sketch challenge!  I don’t do a lot of these so it was fun to give it a shot.  Here is this week’s sketch

and my take on it…I needed to work on some Christmas cards so I thought this sketch would make a nice one.

It’s a bit hard to pinpoint all the supplies I used for this card.  I have this big huge box of Christmas stuff and I just throw everything into there. Some of it is it its original packing and others not, so most of this was part of the NOT catagory.  I do know that the sentiment was done using the tiny type alphas and there’s some baker’s twine from Whisker Graphics on there.  The border punch is Martha Stewart and that’s all I got for you! LOL

I hope you will stop by the blog and play along with this week’s sketch and to check out all the great inspiration from the DT!

To Die For

So it’s my stash challenge on Challenge Master’s this week and it’s all about Diecuts!  As I’ve been making my cards for the craft fair this week I’ve been finding all kinds of stuff in my stash…especially diecuts..

Here are the cards I made for this week’s challenge!

I had to make them simple, as they are for my craft fair.  If people buy them, they can’t have too many embellies or they will cost a small fortune to mail!  The snowmen diecuts were a chipboard pack that I had bought last year or the year before and just never used!  I really like how these turned out, even though they are quite simple.  I just used some DP from my stash and some pearls.  A little ink and a little distressing…Enjoy!

Gift Tag Holder

So I’ve been trying to make this gift tag holder for about a week now and finally managed to do it.  Took me a few tries to get the cutting right.  I plan to give it as a hostess gift with some awesome Bath and Body Works hand soap that I bought.  The idea came from Andrea Walford who is a Stampin Up Demonstrator as part of her 12 Weeks of Christmas emails.  It was actually pretty simple to do and I think it turned out well.  I plan to make a couple more as well as some with gift tags that can be used for birthdays or for any occasion.  Let me know what you think.
