We have a really fun color challenge for you this week! Look how bright this is!! Just perfect for your summer projects!
So for my card this week, I dabbled in some watercoloring. I say dabbled because I’m not very good at it, but it was fun to play! I used my Sakura Create watercolor markers as well as some copics and a few of the distress oxide inks!
My DP is from My Minds Eye – an older collection called Notable. I also just added a few little sequins for that pop of red.
I hope you will join us over on the blog this week. Play along, let us see what you can create with these colors and check out what the rest of the Design Team has created for you!
I am using this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I used the All Abloom designer paper from Stampin Up as well as the Little Friends stamp set for the sentiment. I used my sizzix for the flourish and the circles. I colored the image with my copics and then popped it up with some pop dots. I hope you like it and don’t forget to head over the the BSC blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for you. You can’t see it in the picture but I used a bit of Wink of Stella in her hair just for a bit of extra shine.
I am trying to get Christmas cards done for my craft fairs which are coming up in November. I really liked the sketch that Mojo Monday had this week so I decided to play with that one!
Here is my card!
I have been challenging myself to use the mounds of items all over my craft desk this week! I have a Jovial card kit from Basic Grey as well as a bunch of random stamp sets so I used them for this card. I think those penguins are adorable. The embossed background was another sheet I had lying around so decided to use that as well. I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to play along with Mojo Monday to get the creative juices flowing!
Hello everyone!. Can you believe it is Daylight Savings this weekend? Then right around the corner is Spring! Weeeee!! The DT at Sunsational Stamps is going to be highlighting some of our fun Easter and Spring Stamps for you over the next week or so, to get you into the mood for nicer weather and all the buds and flowers blooming…Saying goodbye to winter for yet another year.
Today I am using this cute little bunny and egg image. He’s just so adorable! He may not be in the store yet, but he’s definitely going to be made available asap for you to use!
Lots of fun spring colors on this card and my favorite–layers 🙂 A little bit of stickles for the nose and the egg stripes 🙂 I colored him with my copics and then did some chalking in the background. The DP is from Hot off the Press. The flowers are $$ store and the sentiment is from Michaels. My little bit of fringe is from CTMH. Just because I’m really into them right now, a few little sequins to finish off the flowers. I hope you enjoy him and don’t forget to shop at the store to get started on your Easter and Spring cards!!

Happy Friday…day before Valentine’s Day! Tammy here with another fun image for you. I picked this No Lion, I love you from the store because I thought it would make an adorable Valentine’s Day card! I love the store example which is in pink and red (perfect for Valentine’s) but I needed mine to match my DP so I went with some yellow.
The flowers are from Walmart and the little pearl dots were in my stash. I colored him with my Copics and the DP is from My Mind’s Eye. I just cut the hearts out using some of the left over paper. I added just a bit of glossy accents on his heart as well. I hope you like it and don’t forget to check out this adorable image in the store here.
Hi Everyone! Tammy here and I am really excited to be a part of the Sunsational Stamps team and to bring you my first project as a DT member. I saw the Bluebird of Happiness on the Scrapping with Lisa site and thought it would make such a cute wedding card. Soon it will be the season for those pretty weddings, and it’s always great to have cards on hand.
The DP is from October Afternoon, and unfortunately I can’t remember the line it is. I used my Spellbinders dies to cut out the scalloped and regular squares. The image is colored with my copics and then I went over just a few areas with my Wink of Stella clear marker to give it a bit of sparkle. (It doesn’t seem to show well in the photo though). The sentiment is from Stampin Up (Labels of Love) and the little sparkly hearts are just from my stash. I hope you enjoy this card and don’t forget to stop by the store and see what inspires your next project!
Welcome to February! Already can you believe it? Soon it will be my birthday 🙂
We begin a new challenge on the Red Carpet Studio blog this week. Our theme comes from the movie A Winter’s Tale. I actually won an advanced screening to see this movie. It was ok but not necessarily one of my favorites. I did enjoy it though.
Set in a mythic New York City and spanning more than a century, “Winter’s Tale” is a story of miracles, crossed destinies, and the age-old battle between good and evil. (Official Movie Site)
THE CHALLENGE: Use some snowflakes and white paint. Gesso or molding/modeling paste will also work just as long as its white.
I have started creating Christmas cards again as I start getting ready for the new craft season towards the end of the year.
Here is the card that I created
Isn’t he cute? He’s called snowflake and he is from Sunsational Stamps . I had some white puffy paint which I used on my bigger snowflake and then some adirondak paint on the littler ones. The DP is from my stash as is the Merry Christmas peel and stick. The image is colored with my copics. I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to play along with us at Red Carpet Studio this week. We have a wonderful prize up for grabs!
