An Autumn Thank you -UIT Challenge #41

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It was Thanksgiving over here in Canada on Monday so it was a busy weekend for my family as I had 2 dinners to attend as well as my youngest brother’s wedding on Saturday.  This whole weekend seems like a big party! LOL

For many of us, autumn is well and truly here.  So, we have a great challenge for you at Use it Tuesday this week.  We are falling into fall and would love to see your Fall Creations!  It can be anything that fall inspires you with, the rich colors, the celebrations, the activities….all we ask is that you use your hoarded supplies to create with and let us know what they are when you post.

Here is my card for you today.

I’m sure you recognize the paper from another card I did. This MME paper is great for fall projects, lots of rich colors.  I used some more of the American Crafts pumpkin ribbon.  The leaves were cut out using my little leaf punches and then the pumpkins and gate were from a die cut swap I did ages ago.  The sentiment is from a Stampin up set that has a matching punch.  I’ve used the punch before but not the stamp set so really loving paring the two together.

I just love the autumn feel of this card! 🙂

Please stop by the blog to see the rest of the inspiration the girls have for you this week and to enter our challenge! We can’t wait to see what you create!

I used some of Sarah’s digital papers for the balloons (which can be found in the store here.  I embossed the balloons using the Houndstooth Cuttlebug folder and then raised a few of them with pop dots.  I added some thick twine to use as strings and then tied it with the red twine.  A simple sentiment from Sarah’s store and the card is finished.  The edge embossing was done with my Scor-Buddy.  Just a nice touch I think.  I hope you enjoy this card and don’t forget to head over to the challenge blog to play along for that great prize this week from Handy Hippo!

Vintage Valentine

Hi everyone!  It’s a new Tag challenge over at Challenge Masters, and this month it’s all about the love, romance and Valentine’s Day.  I had to make some tags for the Kinderstampo Tag Swap and so I thought that I would incorporate both challenges into this…

I am really loving how these turned out.  I love the vintage look but am not the best at re-creating it.  However, once I got started, I couldn’t stop and ended up making 12 of them…here are just a couple of samples.

For these, I just cut the heart shape out using my Cricut.  I then heat embossed it with an  old french script writing background stamp that I had..after that it was glimmer mist time.  I printed off some vintage sheet music from the internet, which I then distressed and ink with Tim Holtz inks for that vintage feel.  The cliparts are from the internet as well.  Just some free site I found by googling.  The rest are just bits and bobs that I had lying around in my stash, pearls, bling,  little fabric flowers, flowers that I bought from the wedding section at Walmart and then just inked and glimmer misted to give a vintage feel to.  I really love how they turned out!  If you decide to make some, please enter my challenge at Challenge Masters so that I can see them!  Click here to sign up to the free forum…

Happy Birthday! It’s a Crazy Celebration

We’re celebrating our birthday over on the Crazy Challenge and we want you to join us!  Thank you to everyone who has joined in our challenges for the last year!  We enjoy bringing them to you and hope you will continue to play with us.  This week we have 4 sponsors! So that means you have 4 chances to win some great digi images so make sure you play with us.

Here are the cards that I created to help celebrate this week.

This was created using the cupcake digi image from AiFactory which can be found here. The paper and embellishments are from a birthday pack with Hot Off the Press which I have had forever.  I just love the colors of this!  I added some stickles to the cupcake to give it some fun sparkle and dimension.

I also made this one

The digi image is from The Stamping Boutique.  I colored it with my copics and did some shading with my chalks.  A bit of distressing and some ribbon from my favorite place savvynsassy.  The celebrate stamp is from Stampin Up.

I hope that you will stop by and play with us!

Best Friends

Good Morning everyone! And Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating today!  It’s a new challenge over at AIF today and we have the cutest image to work with.  It’s from the Best Friends Series that is new in the store!

Here it is:

And here is my card for this week.

I don’t usually do a card this size but I had found a base and thought that it would be fun.  I just added a little bit of friend DP that I had in my stash as well as some ribbon and twine.  The paper flower was one that I had done at a crop last month and had a few of them pre-done ready for projects.  Finished off with a little bling and a little inking around the image which was colored with my copics.  I am still learning how to use those and need a bit more practice.

Don’t forget to enter into the AIF challenge this week with your friendship cards.  That’s this week’s theme.  It can be anything about friendship as you define it…between pets, people, people & pets, sentiments whatever!  So head over to the challenge blog and enter!  You have until 11:59EST on Wednesday December 2 to upload.  If you are doing so from an online gallery please put AIF058 as a tag so we can find your project!  Make sure you also check out our freebie section to find some great images to use!

Today is also the last day to enter for the AIF DT call!  Remember you don’t have to have any previous DT experience..just love working with digital images and have a blog to share your creations with others.  Check out the challenge blog for more details!

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly: Cut it out use a punch or diecut (my image is die cutted)
