TMS #699

Here we go folks, this week’s challenge is up and ready to play at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Ok, a great sketch for you to play along with!

Since we are heading into St. Patrick’s Day, I decided to dip into my green bin and came up with this little card. I used some scraps of green and I added some stickers. For the main sentiment, I put the sticker onto some black cardstock and then popped it up with pop dots.

Head on over to the blog and see the great DT projects to inspire you and don’t forget to play along with us!

CCC: April

Hey everyone! Have you stopped by the Christmas Craft Creations blog to play along with this month’s challenge? Our theme is Tartan/Plaid.

For my card I started with some buffalo plaid from Miss Kate Cuttables and paired it with some green polka dot paper also from MKC and some green foil cardstock. The ornament is from a Stampin Up punch that I cut out about 6x to give it some thickness and height and then added a sentiment from my stash. I hope this inspires you a little bit for your own project and that you will play along with us as well!

TOB: November

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! I know not everyone celebrates but we do here in Canada and my son was an avocado! Of course he was happy with all the candy he got but it was really cold here! There was ice and snow in some areas!

On to this month’s challenge for Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!

Another great mood board for you!

Inspired by the green and the witch, I did a fun ink smooshed background and then used my Recollections stamp and die set for the witch, sentiment and black cat. Some glittered ribbon and just a small piece of DP and a few enamel dots to finish off.

Don’t forget to stop by the blog to play along with us this month and to see what the rest of the DT has created.

Ok everyone! It’s time for our new monthly challenge at Two Old Bats. We’ve got another great mood board. There’s lots to pick from here, pumpkins, green/orange/black/white, checks and stripes, eyeballs, cupcakes, witches and cauldrons, which are just a few that I picked out!

Here’s the card that I created for you!

So I used the Zelda Zombie from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and added some papers from my stash. I colored it with my copics and used some dies to cut out the panels.

I went with the flourescent green color in the mood board, as well as the black stripes from the witch’s legs.

Please come play along with us and see the rest of the way the DT has inspired you for this challenge.

Hey Gang!

Check out this great sketch for this week’s challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches...I really like it! Lots of great layers, and you know I’m all about the layers!

The Design Team did a great assortment of cards for you this week. For mine, I decided to create a St. Patrick’s Day card!

I just used up a bunch of green scraps for this card. That first piece with the tone on tone dots is from Kiki-Arts which was the first DT I was ever on way back when. I’m pretty sure that was the last piece of paper that I had from them!

The leprechaun was just a sticker from the dollar store that I popped up with foam dots and then I added a few enamel dots.

I hope that you will stop by the blog and see the great cards the Design Team has put together for you.

Enjoy your week!

Giraffe in Green

Happy Friday one and all!  Today is a new challenge on the Kitty Bee Designs blog!  Our theme this week is a really fun one – SAFARI ANIMALS!  Lions and Tigers and Bears oh my!

I’m using a fun image from our sponsor The Paper Shelter.  It’s Giraffes on Holiday and it’s these really adorable giraffes during different holidays in the year.

I know it’s early but I really wanted to do the St. Patrick’s day one… Eventually I will have to jump on the Valentine’s Day bandwagon, but not quite yet.   I chose to go with a pre-colored one for my card and just added a few items from my stash.  I don’t have a lot of St. Patrick’s day stuff so I just pulled a few things from a bag that I add to throughout the year that I think might work.

I hope you like it and I hope you will play along with us this week.  We can’t see what wild safari animals you find in your stash!

Breaking up is hard to do

So I have a fun card today!  I found an old card inspiration book called Get Real Greetings.  I loved this book because it had some sassy sentiments in it.  It’s pretty old (2005) and so the designs are a bit dated, but I totally wanted to use it with some newer stamps and such.

I created a card for the Wonderful Wednesday Challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  I have a lot of the KKS but never use them enough so I’m going to try and do a few different cards with them!

For today’s card I used Sophia.:)  I colored her with my copics and used some paper from the Stampin Up Print Poetry Designer Paper.  I’ve had it for a bit but I don’t know that I’ve ever used it before now!

I added some rick rack from Michaels and then a few sequins & dots from my stash.  The sentiment is from the book and I just wrote it out on the computer.  I hope you like it!

Go Green

Hello all….

Green is my favorite color so I love ST. Patrick’s Day.  However, I don’t have a lot of supplies for the day so I don’t make a lot of cards.

I did give it a shot with some old stuff I had in my holiday box.  The paper is from Reminisce and some Imagination Project from 2005.  I don’t even think they are around anymore.

The image is a freebie that I got from Miss Kate Cuttables called Happy Pot O Gold 🙂  I just did a flatten in my design space. The ribbon is just from Michaels and the stamp is from Stampin Up (Greatest Greetings)

I created this for the Paper Play Sketches challenge this week.

Simplicity

A simple card.  That is what I have for you today to go with our new challenge at Use Your Stuff this week.  Our theme is ‘DOILY’.  Incorporate a doily somewhere on your project, it can be an actual doily, a stencil, a stamp etc.  I have only 1 doily stamp and I really do love it because it is so versatile.  I needed to make a simple nondescript card that I could write a quick note in and mail off to a friend, so it also cannot be too bulky to mail.

I decided to do a bit of resist embossing.  Simple but some nice texture.  I stamped the image in my Versamark and then went over it with white embossing powder.  I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in peeled paint and shabby shutters.  To finish it off I just added some ribbon and a couple of flowers.

We hope you will play along with us this week on the blog and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

It Ain’t Easy Being Green

It challenge day at Creative Corner Challenges.  Our theme this week is Sing, Sing a Song.  We want you to create a project inspired by any song, by any artist that moves you.

For my card I was inspired by the song ‘It Ain’t Easy Being Green’ by Kermit the Frog.  I don’t know why but this song has been stuck in my head for days….

I created a really simple card for this one, using one of the images from our great sponsor this week, Scribbles Designs!

Here is my card

HPIM1300

I also created this card with Tracy’s Core’dinations Core and Stamping challenge in mind.  I used the Core’dinations Spotted  6×6 pack for this card and then did some sanding on it, to allow the white to come through.  The DP was in my paper box and I received it from a swap ages ago.  I added some ribbon and bling from my stash as well as a glittered starburst I found, just for some added texture.  The stamp sentiment is from Stampendous Friendly Messages and is one of my favorite go to stamps.

I hope you enjoy the card.  Don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the other inspiration pieces from the DT and play along with this week’s challenge.

If you want to check out the Core’dinations online crop challenge you can find information here.
