2CC – September

Wow! Here we are going into September everyone. Where did the summer go right? Ready for this month’s challenge over at 2 Crafty Critters?? It’s always anything goes as long as you have a critter in there somewhere!

Our sponsor this month is QKR Stampede Digital Stamps.

May be an image of text that says 'QKR Stampede The Somewhat Cute & Somewhat Quirky Rubber & Digi Stamps'

I am using their stamp Being Silly for my new baby card.

I found all this paper pack for babies and I have no idea where it came from but I liked the colors of the pink/purple/green.

I colored him with my copics and then cut him out and cut out a black outline for him, to give some definition. I just wanted to do some simple layers but I did circles and rectangles for some added interest. I brought in that green with the enamel dots from Your Next Stamp and the ribbon from my stash. I pulled the sentiment from my sentiment cup but I think it might be Taylored Expressions.

I hope you like it and can’t wait to see what you create when you play along with us.

Eggspecially for you

Hey there!

I’ve got a fun card today for the Mojo Monday challenge.  Here is the sketch they put up for this week!

This is the card that I made!

dav

I don’t make a lot of Easter cards but I needed this one for a swap on Splitcoast Stampers that I am in.  The chick paper and the glittery pink is from my stash, but the fun bunny paper is from Echo Park’s Spring 6×6 pack!  (I am making a conscious effort to crack open the 50+ 6×6 packs that I have and actually use them!  The sentiment is from craft lounge and the fun chick is a sticker I picked up in the $$ store as are the enamel dots. The ink is from Colorbox.  I really love this card and I hope you do too!

Happy Easter!

Hello everyone!.  Can you believe it is Daylight Savings this weekend?  Then right around the corner is Spring! Weeeee!!  The DT at Sunsational Stamps is going to be highlighting some of our fun Easter and Spring Stamps for you over the next week or so, to get you into the mood for nicer weather and all the buds and flowers blooming…Saying goodbye to winter for yet another year.

Today I am using this cute little bunny and egg image.  He’s just so adorable!  He may not be in the store yet, but he’s definitely going to be made available asap for you to use!
Lots of fun spring colors on this card and my favorite–layers 🙂  A little bit of stickles for the nose and the egg stripes 🙂 I colored him with my copics and then did some chalking in the background.   The DP is from Hot off the Press.  The flowers are $$ store and the sentiment is from Michaels.  My little bit of fringe is from CTMH.   Just because I’m really into them right now, a few little sequins to finish off the flowers. I hope you enjoy him and don’t forget to shop at the store to get started on your Easter and Spring cards!!

Hopping down the Bunny Trail

Hello!  It’s almost that time can you believe it??? Easter will soon be here.  I need to start thinking of what the Easter bunny is going to bring my little guy 🙂

Our challenge at Red Carpet Studio this week is inspired by the film HOP

The theme, is Easter.  What does it make you think of?  Chocolate, cute chicks and bunnies? Eggs or just pretty pastel colors. Whatever it is, we want to see it.  Besides some great DT inspiration for you this week, we have a wonderful sponsor for this week’s challenge so you definitely want to check out the blog for this one!

Here’s my card for this week.  I really loved this House Mouse image that I’ve had for awhile.  It was nice to pick up my Copics again for some fun coloring and I’m just thrilled with the Taylored Expression Dies…love em!

Shaping up at the Crazy Challenge

It’s a new challenge over at CCH and this week it’s all about the shaped cards!  We would like to see some fun and unique shapes, anything that isn’t your typical square/rectangle traditional.  Our sponsor this week is the Digi Doodle Shop and they have some fabulous images, some of which we got to play with.  Here’s my card for this week

The shape was cut out using one of my cricut cartridges ( A Child’s Year I believe, very versatile).  I punched the butterflies using one of my cuttlebug dies and added a few bits of bling to liven them up.  The image was colored with my copics and the DP was just from my stash.  I have been introduced to flocking! I picked some up on sale at my LSS and love it, so the bunny’s ears and her eggs are flock! Way cool!  I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the challenge blog and enter this week’s challenge!
