Get Well Soon

So I’m kinda excited here!  4 Crafty Chicks asked me to stay on for another month as their Guest Designer!  Of course I said yes!  I’m really excited to be doing another month with this great set of ladies!

So our challenge this week is get well soon.  I never seem to have enough get well cards and I am always coming across friends who are feeling under the weather and it is so nice to send a bit of a pick me up!

I got this new stamp set from Stampin Up that I have been wanting to use and so I was surfing around Pinterest and found a couple of cards that caught my eye so I decided to incorporate what I liked best about both of them into this fun little card.

LC: Sentimentally Yours

Good morning everyone! Welcome to another Monday and a new challenge on the Lollipop blog...this week my team is hosting the challenge and our challenge to you is to create a card/project with a sentiment as the focus.

We are being sponsored this week by The Stamping Boutique.  On Thursday Alanna and her team will have all the info on our new sponsor.

Here is my project for you this week…

You’ll have to forgive my poor butterfly, I didn’t notice until the last minute that her poor wing was a bit clipped!

I cut the shape out using my nestiblities.  I don’t usually do circle cards but had fun with this one.  The DP is from Basic Grey and were some scraps I had left over from another project that I did.  It’s the Green at Heart line.  I used my Stamping cartridge to cut out the butterfly and my i-rock to add the little gems.  The sentiment itself came from an old sheet of DP from Around the Block that I found in my paper drawer when I was cleaning it out over the weekend.  Amazing what you find when you clean! Yikes!  I hope you like my card for you and be sure to a)enter our challenge on the blog this week and b) stop by the other DT blogs and leave the girls some love!

Animal Antics

Happy Friday.  If you are looking for the AIF blog hop please scroll below.

It’s a new challenge at the Poodles Parlour this week. It’s all about the Animal Antics.    Bugaboo

is our great sponsor this week and they gave us the cutest images to work with!  I made this adorable baby card for my DT inspiration this week….

After coloring the image with my copics, I inked around it while in the nestiblility.  The paper and little sentiment is from a Hot Off the Press baby 8×8 pack that I have had forever.  The buttons and the twine from my stash as was the bling.  I received the butterfly in a swap ages ago and am glad I was finally able to use it! A little bit of border punching and voila! I hope you like it.  Please stop by the Poodles Parlour blog to link up your own project for this week’s challenge and for all the details on how you can win from our great sponsor Bugaboo!

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday: A Pinch and a Punch (use at least 1 punch)

Color Me Green

Good day everyone!  It’s Monday so a new Lollipop Crafts challenge for you this week.  I am hosting and my theme this week is Monochromatic! I love the look of varying shades of the same color.  Mine of course is green. It has to be green.

This week we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Designs.

Really cute images! We’ll have more on them on Thursday for our Sponsor Spotlight.

Here is my card this week.

I colored the image using my copics.  The DP is just some scraps that I had.  I used a bit of a border punch, a flower (to which I added some glitter), a button, some ribbon (Savvy n Sassy) and a ticket that was originally beige and I just inked it green.   I cut the leaf out using my cricut. A little paper piercing and distressing to add some texture and voila!  I hope you  like it

Don’t forget to head over to the blog and enter for your chance to win.  I look forward to seeing what you create.

She creates beautiful kits fthat are great for  digi and hybrid scrapping with papers, elements, alphabets, word art and so much more. Every kit is truly an inspiration. The Design Team was given her Bloomin’ Lovely kit to work with and oh wow! The images on this are soooo pretty! Perfect for all your spring and summer layouts, whether you do digital projects or not~!  I don’t make digital layouts but I had such fun printing off these elements to use for my cards and layouts. You need to stop by the SH blog to see all the great DT inspiration for you!

Here is the card that I made for the summer themed challenge.  I know my card says Happy Spring, but believe me, here in Calgary Spring and Summer are pretty much the same thing..LOL you don’t get a lot of distinction when you have snow up until May!

I printed off the balloon, flowers and grass and then cut them out.  I added a bit of inking to the balloon and some stickles to the flower to add a bit of dimension.  The DP is also from GallimaufryUK.  I added a bit of fibre to accent the grass and the sky and some little letters that were given to me in a swap.  I am looking forward to seeing your entries into this week challenge, it runs until June 12th so you have lots of time to enter!

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

They chose a theme of Embossing this week and have given us some embossing folders as a prize! There will be 3 for the winner and one each for 2nd and 3rd place. You can see them on their website here

Here is my card for this week’s challenge

I used some of Sarah’s digital papers for the balloons (which can be found in the store here.  I embossed the balloons using the Houndstooth Cuttlebug folder and then raised a few of them with pop dots.  I added some thick twine to use as strings and then tied it with the red twine.  A simple sentiment from Sarah’s store and the card is finished.  The edge embossing was done with my Scor-Buddy.  Just a nice touch I think.  I hope you enjoy this card and don’t forget to head over to the challenge blog to play along for that great prize this week from Handy Hippo!

A Floral Thank You with Sarah Hurley

So today’s marks my debut as part of the Sarah Hurley DT. Our theme this week is Flowers…
Without further adieu here is mine… (shout out to Lori Padberg.  It was one of her creations that inspired mine.  I loved the simple look of it)
I used some digital paper & sentiment from Sarah’s line which can be found here.

The flower is from my stash and I just inked it up a bit with some red ink.  I did some die cutting as well for the flowers and used the spellbinders to showcase the flower.  And of course some embossing using the fleur de lis embossing folder from Cuttlebug.  A really simple card but I quite like it.  Make sure you stop by the Sarah Hurley challenge blog to get your own flower entries in!  We can’t wait to see them!
