TMS # 646

So ya. I’m behind. By like two days. That’s how long our sketch has already been up on the blog at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I don’t know how I missed this week! Ugh! Better late than never right!

This is one of the easiest sketches you are going to come across to use. You can make it as minimal or as detailed as you want. Perfect for leftover scraps of some embossed cardstock. Don’t want to use a circle? Try a star or an oval or really whatever shape you fancy.

This probably the last card that you are going to see with the July 2020 SCT Sampler because I am all done with it! I love this card. I think it turned out really well. I paired this with a sentiment stamp set from Hero Arts called Cheeky Birthday.

Come on over to the blog, you still have time to create with us!

Happy Tuesday All! We are off and running on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and here is this week’s new sketch.

Working again with my SCT sampler from I believe July 2018 I created this fun card with some Doodlebug pieces and papers in the sampler.

These are just too darn cute! I believe the sentiment is from Stampin up which I embossed with white onto black and then added in some enamel dots and some die cut circles from my stash.

I hope you like it and please come over to the blog and play along with us!

Well, that’s it. The long weekend is over here in Canada and that pretty much marks the end of summer for us, and we can start looking for the falling leaves, cooler weather, heck, yesterday we had hail! Welcome to Canada!

On a brighter note, Tuesday Morning Sketches has a new sketch up for you to enjoy!

The DT has done some really great things with this one!

Here’s mine for you!

I actually started with the embossed leaf background as the inspiration. Then I dug into my scraps bucket for some fall themed colored papers for the circles and then used one of my very first spellbinders dies to cut them out. The truck was cut out of a 3×4 card (a great way to use those cards!) and then I added some little leaf die cuts and enamel dots from my stash. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and leave some love for the rest of the DT….

Going in Circles

Happy Friday the 13th everyone.  It’s a new challenge day over at Poodles Parlour today.  It’s all about circles!  Our sponsor this week is Whoopsi Daisy Digis.

I am really loving this week’s card for you.  Using one of our sponsor digis and a sketch from my  SCT Cardmaps book I created this card..

The DP is from Basic Grey and is just a few pieces I had left over from another project.  The grey ruched ribbon and cardstock are from my stash, as is the bling.  The orange ribbon is from CTMH.  I colored using my copics and then cut out the image with my Spellbinders for my circles.  I hope you enjoy this card and be sure to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the DT creations this week and don’t forget to enter!

Also of note, we have had a couple of our DT step down so we do have some openings! Just email Jacqui at thecraftypoodle@gmail.com with a link to your blog and let her know you are interested!

Here is my card for this challenge

I finally broke open my Echo Park Summer days  6×6 paper pack  for this I just love the patterns and colors.  They really do scream summer! I colored the image using my copics, added some ribbon from my stash and  buttons and baker’s twine (from Whisker Graphics).  The thickers were white but I just colored them with my ink pad to fit better for the card.  I hope you like it!

It’s a Circle Frenzy

This week’s new challenge at Sarah Hurley is all about circles..whether they are doodled, die cut, freehand, punched, dots or a round shaped anything..we want to see it! All the details can be found on the Sarah Hurley Challenge blog this week which you can find here, and you’ll want to see all the great DT inspiration for you this week…You have until July 10th to enter your project to win a great prize from Sarah…

Here’s what I have for you this week.  I used my circle punches to just cut out a variety of cardstock and patterned paper from Sarah’s Woodland Whimsies and Wonderland CD’s.  The image which I colored with copics was sent to me in a swap.  I added just a bit of embossing with my scor-buddy. To finish it off, I just used some tiny type alphas in keeping with the circular theme.  I hope you like it and I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this week’s challenge.

Another Challenge Card

Okay, so when  I was uplinking my card for the 365 Card challenge which can be found here, I realized I linked it to the wrong challenge, so I figured I had better do another one to get it right.  So this challenge was to make a card that had 20 circles on it from at least 2 sources.  I think I’m covered.  I love this paper!!!  I had bought the stamps and just never had a chance to use them so this was the perfect time.  I also used some red pompom ribbon from Savvy n Sassy, some buttons, and a circle border punch just for good measure.  Enjoy.  I actually like this one and it took me no time to knock it out!
