C4G – All at Sea

Ahoy Mateys!  We have a bit of a nautical theme for you this week at Cardz 4 Guyz –

ALL AT SEA
Anything to do with the sea, fishing, sailing,
swimming, cruising etc

This is a pretty broad and fun challenge and I know that everyone is going to have some really fun projects to share on the blog with us.

I had a lot of fun creating mine..

dav

I found a piece of this color resist paper from Stampin Up that I haven’t used in a very long time….I colored it with some Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Ink and blended the colors on top of each other to get a few different shades.  I then inked and colored and fussy cut a few of the Jellyfish and a star from the Lawn Fawn So Jelly set.  I stamped the sentiment from the set onto some vellum – again something that I’ve not used in awhile and then added some enamel dots.  I thought it still needed a little something so I added a few stamped bubbles and then (even though you can’t see it) I went over the jellyfish with some Wink of Stella.

I hope you enjoy the card (which is being sent for this week’s card to my Split Coast Stamper Baker’s Dozen partner) and be sure to play along with us on the blog too!

Here is my card for this week’s challenge using Ella the Mermaid..such a cute image!

I used some BG DP  from my scrap box (**sigh** yes I’m still trying to go through all my scraps)for this and cut the waves out of scrap cardstock  using my Going Places cricut cartridge ( I think this is the first time I’ve ever used it).  I colored Ella with my copcs and just added some bling.  The stamped sentiment is just a stamp set I picked up eons ago.
