UYS #485

Happy Monday everyone! Monday, is it ever really happy??? LOL

So on the Use Your Stuff blog today we have an Anything Goes challenge! Who doesn’t love that! We just want to see what you are working on this week.

For me, my BFF gave me one of those Annie’s Attic card kits (she got two in error). I hadn’t used them before so it was fun to give it a try. They give you a lot of stuff in the bag including paper, stencil, stamp, ink, some enamel dots and a bunch of die cuts and then the instructions to make 3 cards. I’m guessing that since they give you 2 sheets of the die cuts, you can make 2 of each card. This one was very red, white and blue! I decided to just make the 3 with the instructions and then use the rest of the supplies for a bunch more cards. I ended up getting a baker’s dozen out of the kit and I still have a bunch of the enamel dots and a shwack of the die cuts left. I really like the projects though! I needed to make birthday cards and since most of them were going to the USA it kinda worked out.

Here’s one from the batch!

The sentiment and the card base were mine but pretty much everything else was in the kit. I decided to use some of my clear bling rather than the red and blue enamel dots on this one. This was actually the last card that I made with just some scraps that I had left over.

If you want to see all the cards I made with it, pop on over to my instagram page: if_the _scrap_fits and you can see them all there.

I hope you will stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT have for you.

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Hello Friends!

Check out this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Its a really great sketch to play with!

I used some paper from a hot buy paper pack from Michaels. I’ve never used it so it’s fun to crack it open! The sentiment was from Lawn Fawn. I added a few sequins and the cut aparts from the paper pack.

Head on over to the TMS blog and see the other great projects. Be sure to play along with us as well!

CCC : February

Hey, I’m here with your mid month reminder of our Christmas challenge for
February over at Christmas Craft Creations!

Blue and Silver are a great color combo for Christmas!

The paper is from my stash and it’s nice and soft. It’s hard to tell but that bottom strip is a gorgeous silver foil paper. It really sets it off nicely, and I matched it with the peace sentiment from stampin up in the same foil . A few little silver balls and voila!

Come by the blog, see what everyone has created and play along with us!

CCC: Winter Blues

Hopefully you are all getting excited for Christmas. I know it isn’t like how many of us imagined it would be this year, but in my house we are thankful for many things and we are looking forward to a bit of a scaled back version this year.

I’m here with your mid-month reminder for Christmas Craft Creations Winter Blues challenge. Your project should definitely have blue as the main focal color point!

I am cleaning up some stuff on my desk and have a few bits of a Recollections Pet Christmas pack and so I created this fun little Christmas Card.

I hope you play along with us and we look forward to seeing what you create this month!

TMS : Anything Goes

Hey you! Thanks for stopping by! Today is our Annual Anything Goes Challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  We only do this once a year because, well, typically we’re a sketch challenge.  It’s a fun thing to end out the year with a chance for you to share some other art, if you’d like to, or a card technique you’ve been just dying to try but doesn’t fit in any current challenges.

This is Anything Goes – but there are a few rules:

1) Your project must be new – no back linking.

2) We are offering a prize, so you may enter up to 3 projects.

3) Feel free to participate in other challenges, but only 4 others.

The prize: Tim Holtz Glass Mat (travel size)

Another reason we do these anything goes challenges, it gives the DT a chance to take a break.  This challenge runs from 12/22/2020 to 1/3/2021.

It’s been a busy time in my house but I’m trying to clean up my scrap space to start fresh for after Christmas and the new year! I was cruising along on Pinterest and I found this card that I absolutely loved by Jenny’s Stampin Flavors and wanted to recreate for some birthday cards for my SplitcoastStampers group!

I kept pretty close to her idea but I didn’t add any ribbon as these were going in the mail. I love the colors of this and the Painted Harvest stamp set is so versatile it can be used for more than just fall!

I hope that you will stop by the blog and see how much fun the rest of the DT had with this challenge and I wish you all the best for a lovely Christmas!

Beautiful Boy

It’s our first post with our new DT at Use Your Stuff this week!  We are so excited to feature some of our new designers.  I am hosting the challenge this week.  Inspired by a Song.

For my challenge I chose Beautiful Boy by John Lennon.  I am a proud mama.  I love my little guy to death so it’s no wonder that a lot of my layouts feature him.

This layout I used a new technique that was featured on the Cardmaker blog.  A starburst.  It was super easy to do and I thought it turned out really well on my layout.  The DP is from October Afternoon.   The ribbon and wood veneer as well as the thickers are all from my stash.

I hope you will stop by the blog and play along with us!

It’s a Boy

Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend, even if I don’t really have anything planned.

Just sharing with you our new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Our last one for February hosted by Tina.  Next month I will be hosting the challenges and offering some great weekly prizes so make sure you check in each week.

A super easy challenge this week, we just want to see some designer paper on your project.  It can be old, new, one or two.  Head over to the blog to link up and to see what the DT has for you this week.

Here is mine for you this week, a cute little baby card.

DP

Since I am on a buying freeze right now, everything on this card is from my stash.  The paper is sooo old.  It is from Hot off The Press’s 8×8 baby kit.  The image was from a swap I did ages ago and the sentiment sticker I’ve had for ages.  It was fun to make a 5×5 card this time instead of my usual 4.25×5.5.  I hope you like it.

Entered into these challenges:

7 Kids College Fund: anything goes.

Party Time Tuesday: anything goes

Love to Create: Wrap it Up (twine, ribbon, string)

Keep Calm & Sparkle!

Morning all.  Survived another Monday and I’m one day closer to Cuba..woohoo.

Well we are back to work at the Use it Tuesday blog and we have a new challenge for you.  We want you to sparkle and shine.  Show us your projects with sparkle..so it could be bling, gems, pearls, stickles, glitter, anything that stands shiny! 🙂

Here’s my project for you today.  It’s a wedding card with a matching envelope.  I went to town with my smooch spritz on this one.  The Mr. & Mrs. is cut with my Sweethearts cricut cartridge (I believe) and the pearls are from my stash.  I actually cut it in half because I have a love/mostly hate relationship with these big blingy things..they never work for me.

I hope you like it and stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT have for you this week.

Bella in Blue

Hello all! Welcome to Monday here on my blog. It’s a new challenge at Lollipop Crafts and this week is an Anything Goes challenge.  So it’s just for fun and we get to highlight our top three on Sunday!  Let your creative juices run wild!  I know the DT has some wicked inspiration for you so don’t forget to stop by the blog and leave them some love!

So as you know, I belong to Swap-bot.com which I love because of all the different card swaps they do there.  I have one that is a card swap with a twist…so my partner actually sends me the embellishments to put on the card, I make it and send it back.  So I was sent some ribbon, a flower,a button and a brad.  Not a lot to work with, but luckily they all matched.  So this is the card that I created inspired by the supplies I was sent. Someone had sent me this stamped image in a swap so it seemed like a good one to use up.  I cut it out using my Spellbinders and inked the edges with Broken China Distress Ink (BTW have you seen the new distress colors for spring IN LOVE!!!!).  I can’t wait to get mine.  The DP is from the Kaisercraft Blae and Ivy set which is really pretty blues and greens!  I colored her using my ever trusty copics!

Here’s the card

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

Amusing Challenges: anything goes

Catered Crop: B is for Bodacious (anything that begins with B..I have button, blue and Bella)

Craft Us Crazy: Inspire Us (found inspiration or favorite stamp) I had to be inspired by the supplies that were sent to me by my swap partner

Moving Along with the Times: Gardening or Flowers

Shelley’s Images: How does your garden grow: use Pastels, Flowers and Kraft

Scrapalicious: flower power

A masculine challenge

over at Lollipop Crafts this week.  I love doing masculine cards, probably because I never seem to get to do them enough.  Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights by Louby LouMake sure you stop by the Challenge blog for all the details and to link up your project this week.

here is my card for you this week.

I colored the image with Copics and the paper was all sent to me as part of a swap of stash on PaperCraftPlanet…love that idea.  I used my MS border punches and also added some brads.  The stars were sent to me in a monthly swap on PCP.  The stamped sentiment was in a rubber stamp swap from Swap-bot…..do you see a theme here..LOL I do a lot of swaps…anyone else wanna swap with me! LOL

I hope you like it!
