Christmas Wreath

for the blog hop please click here

Today is my last project for the DigiHaven design team.  I have had such a great time with these ladies.  There are a lot of fun changes coming in the new year, along with great sponsors so make sure you stay tuned to the blog for details.

This time around our theme is wreath or ornaments.  You need to create a project using a freebie of a wreath or ornaments.  We have a prize for this week’s challenge and all the details are on the blog.

Here is my card for you today.

Tammy

I made a really simple card for this challenge as I plan to mail this one out and it has to be as flat as possible.  The DP was given to me in a swap on Swap-bot.com.  I used my white gel pen for some faux stitching on the cardstock and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  The wreath freebie I colored in with my copics and added just a bit of red stickles.  You can find the freebie here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Birdhouse

Today is the start of the November Anything Goes challenge at DigiHaven.  We are being sponsored by Beccy’s Place who is offering a great prize of 3 digis from her store.  For this challenge you can use any digi you want provided it is free!

Here is my card using one of Beccy’s free images

Before you get too excited, I didn’t color this one, LOL, it already came that way.  The DP is just some scraps that I had laying on my table so I’m not even sure where they are from.  The sentiment is Stampin up.  I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to join our challenge this month to win!

Treeful Thanks

I have a card for you today that I am just loving.  It is our new challenge at DigiHaven and our theme is Fall Trees or Leaves.

It will run for two weeks, ending on November 15th.  If you visit the blog there are lots of links for free digi images to choose from.  Remember the image you choose needs to be free for the length of the challenge!

here is my card

The image I chose can be found here.  The paper is MME (I believe it is the All Spice line). Just another one of those 6×6 paper packs I seem to hoard…. I cut it out with my Spellbinders and then inked it with some Tim Holtz Distress ink (I want to say Broken China).    I kept the embellishments pretty simple using just some divine twine and a button.  The sentiment (which I cut out using a couple stampin up punches) is from Stampin Up (Kindess Matters).  I hope you like it and I hope you will stop by the blog to check out the other great projects from the DT this week and to play along.  We love seeing your creations!

Entered into these challenges:

Natalie & Amy: fave color combo (I love brown and blue together!)

Crafting for all seasons: falling leaves (I hope this qualifies…I think all the leaves already fell off and were raked up from my tree  🙂 )

Nutcrafters: Ribbon or Twine

Dutch Dare Card challenge: Thankful

Paper Crafting Journey: ribbon or twine

Sassy Design Studios: Season of Thanks

Simply Create: always anything goes

EEK!

Hello everyone! Welcome to today’s installment of the Digihaven challenge.  We have a fun new Halloween challenge for you.

For this challenge you need to use any halloween image that is a) free and b) is free for the duration of the challenge which in this case is ending November 1st.  You can find all the details under the challenge tab on the blog!

Here is the fun card I created for you this week.

I just thought these spiders were so cute and you can find them here~  The DP are just some scraps that I had from other Halloween projects and I cut out the spiders with my spellbinders and then inked them with the Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves ink.  The DP I inked with some Rusty Hinge.  The letters are from my stash as is the little star.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the other inspiration pieces for you this week and to enter this fun new challenge.

I am off to the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival for Friday and Saturday for 2 days of fun cropping and I will have all the great details and maybe even some pictures on Sunday! See you then!

Frosty Snowman

If you happened by the DigiHaven blog,  you will see that we have a new challenge for you.  It’s all about Pumpkins!  The DT have created some great projects for you this week using free pumpkin digis!

Here’s your challenge information for this week:

October 5th: This challenge is to use a FREE digi image that fits a “Pumpkin” theme.  If you have any questions on the challenge rules, please click the “how to play”  button on the blog. If you need help finding a free digital image, please click on the “free digis” button or click on our Design Team’s links to the FREE images they’ve used.  This challenge will end on October 18th.  Winners will be posted on this page on October 21st.

Here’s the card I have for you this week.

The digital image just reminded me of October here in Calgary.  We often have snow about now (we just had some a couple of days ago) and especially not uncommon to see it at Halloween.  So I thought it was appropriate.  It was already colored so I didn’t have to worry about that.  You can find my image here.  It also comes uncolored.

The DP is from MME and is called All Spice.  I am going to be using it for a few upcoming projects so you’ll be seeing a lot of it.  The ribbon is from American Crafts.  I had a whole bunch of it that I bought with lots of different patterns by season.  Lots of fun.  The pumpkins I have had for a really long time.  I got quite a few of them in a swap years ago and have never yet used them.  I ran my top note die through my embossing folder to give a bit of texture.

Entered into the following challenges:

Craft Us Crazy: Halloween or anything goes

Cute Card Thursday: lots of ribbon

Sarah Hurley: Autumn

Simply Create: anything goes

Crafty Creations: Colors of Fall

Waste Not Wednesday: always using something neglected or un-used

Barely Mine Challenges: Halloween

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

There are a lot of cute cat and dog digis out there!  The DT has come up with some great inspiration for you, so make sure you stop by the blog to leave them some love and to play in this week’s challenge.

Here’s what I have for you this week!

The image is from Tiddlyinks and can be found here.  I colored this little guy in with my copics.  The DP is from Basic Grey (of course) and I think is called Max and Whiskers.  A little work with my spellbinders and the little bone was sent to me in a swap.  The sentiment stamp is one that I bought at Michael’s forever ago and use quite often.  I also added a bit of faux stitching using my white gel pen.  I hope you like this week’s challenge card and again, please stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT has for you!

Old Wine Young Men

Hello and Happy Summer!  We at Digi Haven have a great challenge for you this week.  It’s all about Summer!

Use any FREE digital Summer/Beach/Surf image you wish. The image can be a forever freebie, limited time freebie or freebie of the month as long as it’s free for the duration of this challenge.  Please be sure to link back to the original artist or website on your blog.  This Challenge ends on Thursday and the winners will be posted on Sunday.

I went to a scrapbook garage sale recently and in one of my grab bags I got this great set entitled A Drink a Day by There She Goes Stamps.  It went perfectly with the digi I found for this challenge.

Here is my card for you this week.

The digi can be found here.  I colored it with my copics. The DP is pretty old.  I am using more from the pack that I think  is called Grandma’s Attic but I have no idea who it is by.  Look familiar to anyone?? I kept the embellishments pretty simple, just the paper piercing and the little ribbon and just one bling.  I really wanted to focus on the image and the fun sentiment.

I hope you enjoy my card as much as I do and please stop by the blog to see what the other DT has created for you!

Here is what you need to know:

June 15, 2012 – Free Floral Digi Challenge.  Use any FREE digital Flower/Floral image you wish. Pair it up with another Free digital image (i.e. add a toad, fairy, butterfly etc.) if you wish. This is what I’ve created this week.

You can’t tell from the outside but inside there is a sympathy sentiment.  The digi can be found here from Making Our Mark.  I wanted a simple elegant card for this one so I colored the rose with Copics and cut it out with my Spellbinders.  A little embossing with the cuttlebug, some lace and a few pearls and there you have it.   Make sure you stop by the blog to check out the rest of the DT inspiration for you and some great new links to freebies!
