I actually put this card together at the farm last week with those limited supplies that I brought along, remember? Not too bad if I do say so myself.
The DP is from Crate Paper and is a 6×6 pack that I have been working through for awhile now. I already had the image in my die cut tin. I didn’t have any shaped die cuts so I had to cut the oval out by hand which is a bit rough but gives it some visual interest right? 🙂 All the die cuts I had in my tin so that was ok, but I didn’t have any ribbon or twine! So I managed to find some kite string in the trailer and used that!! I took a little bit and colored it with an ink pad for the brown bow, just to set it off a little bit.
I think this turned out really well considering what I had to work with..LOL. Now be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you and as always, don’t forget to play along with us.
Our theme is OUTSIDE! So let’s see the projects with an outdoor theme to them.
I’m using a digital stamp called Sight Seeing In Paris! I have been lucky enough to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower about 20 years ago. It was an event that was on my bucket list since I was about 6 and it was everything I thought it would be. I would love to be able to go back there again one day.
I used some DP from Crate Paper called Style Board. The image was colored with copics and my sentiment is from Paper Smooches.
I hope you like the card and don’t forget to head on over to the blog to see the rest of the DT creations.
Oh man! Are we really into fall now? Where did the summer go right?
So I really loved this sketch over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog for the week! It has some great layers and while I was at my Great Creative Virtual Scrapbook Carnival over the weekend, I came up with this.
I used components from my SCT Sampler for April 2018 so it is the Flourish collection from Crate Paper. I also used the Gina K stamp set that was in the August sampler for 2020. I thought these papers went well together.
Now it’s time to head on over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you and to play along in our challenge this week, we can’t wait to see what you create!
Our new monthly challenge is up at Brown Sugar Challenges. Our theme is Breast Cancer Awareness. I know last month was the actual month for this, but we are extending it one more month because it is such an important issue.
For my card I just chose to create a Christmas card but kept the pink theme for BCA.
I colored the image with my copics. The DP is from Snow Day by Crate Paper and the PEACE sentiment is from Stampin Up., I added a few sequins and a few little pearl dots from Nuvo. I hope you like it and please play along with us this month! Remember you can use anything that makes you think of BCA – the color pink, the ribbon symbol, perhaps it is an image that you found to help a friend or loved one as they battle this terrible disease.
That unfortunately does not seem to be something that we are going to have here in Calgary today. It’s still a bit cloudy and cool today. The last vestiges of winter are still lingering around. I wish they would just go already.
Today’s challenge at Use it Tuesday is All About Spring. It’s time to break out the flowers, the bright colors, the sunshine, all the good stuff. As always you need to use up some of your stash so make sure you let us know in your post what you used.
I finally have used up all of the Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper so here is my final project. The stamp set is one from my stash that I don’t use enough by My Favorite Things. It comes with its own sentiment as well. I just used my spellbinders and inked it up with some Tim Holtz ink. The bling is from my stash as well. I hope you like it.
Please stop by the blog to enter this week’s challenge and to see all the rest of the great DT projects we have for you this week.

365 Cards: Time’s up…create a card in 20 mins. Mine took 13.
It’s Friday! Oh thank heaven! It has been what seems like a long week for me. I’ve not been able to get into my craft space much this week with work being so busy.
I do however, have a new card for you for our challenge this week at Creative Corner Challenges. My theme this week is layers. The more the better, but at least 2 layers are needed to qualify for this week’s mystery prize. I’m not announcing it until I pick the winner next week but it’s a good one.
Here’s my fun card for you this week. Again I was using up my scraps from my Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper. I am happy to announce that I have one more project to show you next week and then it is finally finished! Yay! That only took me 4 years to go through! I thought I was doing so well finishing up a paper pack finally and then I find out today that I won 4 paper packs by Basic Grey…**sigh** I can’t win for losing but I’m not really complaining 🙂
The image was in my image bucket so it came from a swap ages ago. I just colored it with my copics. As I said the DP was in my stash and it is the scraps of the scraps of the Crate Paper Lil Sprout collection. The sentiment is an old one from my stash. It was fun to do a square card for a change. I actually made this one for a swap on Swap-bot as well which has a square card theme. I hope you like it. Don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the DT inspiration pics for you this week and enter to win my mystery prize.
Lately I have been trying to use up my Little Sprout kit that I bought way back in 2009. So expect to see a bunch of cards/layouts in the coming weeks using it up. I finally got through it all. :0 This card is actually using scraps of scraps..right down to the very end. 🙂
I used a sketch from a sketch challenge at CanadianScrapSwap Chat this week. Lots of fun banners and flags. 🙂
I used everything from my stash this week. Buttons, bling, ribbon and paper 🙂
Make sure you stop by the blog this week to enter the challenge for a chance to win the prize I have up for grabs today.
come and get it challenges: use a recycled element (the small yellow button is from an old shirt…I never throw out anything with buttons still on them..LOL, the striped ribbon is recycled from another card that I had made and ended up not liking after all)
Hello everyone! It’s another Monday challenge at Lollipop Crafts this week. It’s our last challenge of the month so that means it’s a just for fun anything goes challenge. Make sure you stop by the blog to see what the rest of the design team has created for you and to link up your challenge project.
I have another layout for you. In keeping with the Little Sprout Collection from Crate Paper I did another cute layout of Mr. Riley.
Thanks for stopping by and I love to get your comments.
So last week I had posted a layout I did for a kit of the month challenge on CanadianScrapSwapChat. That was part one. Part two was to create another project using the same kit..it could be card, altered project, tag etc. I really like the die cuts in this pack so I made a cute little baby tag with it.
It’s a bit fuzzy so I hope you’ll forgive that. I basically just used up some of the scraps and then added the diecuts and popped them up. Nothing fancy here. Just a little ribbon to match. Pretty clean and simple I think. I hope you like it. I have a friend who’s newly pregnant and so I can’t wait to put this on her present for her shower! I hope she likes it too!
Now..as I had mentioned in my previous post, I’ve cracked open the Crate Paper Little Sprout set and I have been going to town creating some layouts of Riley. So since this week’s challenge is Anything Goes at Lollipop Crafts this week, I decided to create a layout for my DT inspiration piece.
This is a picture of Riley at about 3 months old spending his first Thanksgiving in Kamloops with Grandma and Grandpa Schlinker. Grandpa decided to get silly with Riley and well..this is the result.
I hope you like it and make sure you stop by the Lollipop blog this week to see some more great inspiration from the DT and enter this week’s challenge. Now this week’s challenge is a non-sponsored one however, for those of my followers and friends who enter into the challenge and then come back here and let me know (so I can comment on your project 😉 I will enter you into a draw to win some fun scrappy goodies from me!
