TMS #607

Hellllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Thanks for stopping by today! I’m off for a couple of days and it’s been raining here, so I’m definitely doing a bunch of scrapping! I really need some crafty time!

Without further adieu here is this week’s sketch up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog! This is a super easy sketch to work with and you can really do a lot with it. I really enjoyed this one, and I was able to do a card in literally no time at all. It’s just some fun layers and then you can embellish however you want really.

I knew I wanted to use this big flower from my die cut bowl! I thought it would fit perfectly for this sketch! The DP is from ProvoCraft and it’s just a bunch of backgrounds in a variety of colors which I thought was perfect.

The sentiment was sent to me by a friend and so it was in my cup with the others (having a cup or bowl with a bunch of pre-made sentiments is perfect for when you have to quickly make a card). I recently won some Nevo gemstones from Scrapshotz so I decided to use them on this, since they were in gold and worked perfectly with my gold sentiment. I really like how this card turned out.

I hope you will stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created and to play along with us as well!

Digitial Delights-New Christmas Release

Oh wow! Wendy has created the cutest images for the Christmas line over at Digital Delights.

The DT has created some fabulous inspiration projects for you using these new images and today I am featuring Gingerbaby!

How cute is he????

So there is the card that I have for you today!

I paired him up with Season’s Greetings circular sentiment.

The DP is from the KaiserCraft December 25th collection from a couple of years ago.  I added a bunch of different punches and dies with this one, sizzix, cricut and stampin up, as well as a few brads from my stash.   I hope you enjoy him and don’t forget, you can enter this week’s challenge at Delightful Challenges, which is Winter Holiday…these images are perfect don’t you think???

Lollipop Challenge #61-Happy Holidays!

Wow! So hard to believe that it is almost Christmas.  We don’t even have our tree up yet!  Best get on that!

So, it’s our final challenge of the year at Lollipop Crafts before the Christmas break!  We are doing a Happy Holidays theme this week.  I have pretty much finished making the Christmas cards for the season.  Just a few here and there for family and friends.

Here is my card for you this week

I had an order to make some humorous Christmas cards for a lady.  I made up about 14 of them for her to choose from.  I printed the image off of the internet and the snowflakes were made using my BG sizzix snowflake die which I just love.  A bit of Velvet ribbon.  The DP is My Mind’s Eye the Merry days of Christmas from a couple of years ago.  Finally cracked that baby open!  A little bit of bling finishes it off.  Make sure you stop by the blog today and see the rest of the DT creations.  We are being sponsored this week by Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps.

Happy Halloween

Good Morning!  I feel like I have been up FOREVER! My little guy is sick so he had a rough nite and I am not even sure how much sleep I’ve had….

Today is the Sponsor Spotlight at Lollipop Crafts and we are highlighting Meljen’s Designs! Love her images as I’m sure you know!  Here is a little Halloween Card I cooked up

I used some DP that I received in a swap from the PaperCraftPlanet Anything Goes group.  My partner sent me some awesome stuff!  I added a bit of baker’s twine from Whisker Graphics. I colored the image with my copics and then I spritzed it with some Smooch spritz in Cashmere, Candleglow and Ice Rink.  I am really loving my smooches right now!  I sewed the button right onto the card and the sentiment is from some vellum stickers I have had forever! I also have a bit of paper piercing on there as well.  Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to stop by tomorrow as I am part of a big Halloween/Fall blog hop and will have a couple of new projects for you!I have entered into the following challenges:

So here is our sketch…

and these are the two cards that I made

One for Halloween

This was made using the Halloween card kit that I received from my partner in a swap on the Club CK forum! She sent me tonz of stuff, which is great because I don’t have that much! LOL  I decided to water color the image this time and then I added a bunch of stickles for flair~!  Everything except the chipboard hat sticker came from the kit that Christy sent me.

And one for Christmas

Another simple card…the reindeer is from the Doodlecharms cricut cartridge.  The DP is scrap and the ribbon and bling are from my stash.  I decided to emboss the sentiment to make it stand out a bit more against the DP..again as I am making these for a craft fair, they can’t be too heavy in embellishments…

Crazy Amigo: the letter R (for Reindeer)

Craft Room Challenge: Anything Christmas

A Fairy Hello

Hello! I hope that you moms out there had a lovely Mother’s Day yesterday.  There is nothing I am more proud of than being a mom to my little Riley.  I can’t believe he’ll be 2 in July!  Time does fly.

Today is a new challenge on the Lollipop Crafts blog.  We are being sponsored by Soft Pencil this week

and here is the link to their site and you can check out all the great digital images & all that Elizabeth has to offer.  Our challenge this week is a fancy folds one…so we’d like to see creations with more than one fold on them.  Here is mine for this week.

The image is from SoftPencil’s Tinytwinies which the DT got to play with.  So cute. This is the Charming Flowers image. How adorable is this!  I colored her using my Copics. I used some Sarah Hurley digital papers for this card. She has some great stuff so make sure you check the link! The main butterfly was cut using a scrap piece from the card and then the other accent butterflies I cut out using some scrap cardstock and then I doused them with versamark and applied some clear embossing powder to them to give them some shine and some texture.  I also added a little bit of bling to them.  The ribbon was part of a swap on Swap-bot that I received.  The sentiment is using my tiny type letters.  I haven’t used these for so long I practically had to blow the dust off. I also added some stickles to her wings and the fairy dust that she sprinkled.

I hope you like the card and I hope you’ll join in on our challenge this week. Sorry my picture is so dark, it’s been rainy here the last few days (which I guess is better than snowy right??)

Here is my card for this challenge

I used the Bride and Groom image from Digital Delights, which I colored with copics and added a bit of stickles to her dress and veil.  The DP was just some pieces from my stash.  I added a seed bead flower that was sent to me in a swap as well as some felt hearts and a little metal tag.  The last bit was some silver cord into a bow behind the flower.  The actual sketch for this card came from the Scrapbook and Cards Today Cardmaps book.

This month I’m the Guest Designer…..

over on the Sarah Hurley Challenge blog!

I’m very excited and thrilled to be a part of Sarah’s team this month and I hope you will stop by each week, to check out what I have created and also the other DT member’s as well.  They are a bunch of creative ladies and they have such wonderful works of inspiration for you.

So this week’s challenge is Die Cuts! I love die cuts…It gives me a chance to use not only my cricut and my cuttlebug, but also those diecuts that I get in swaps, or I buy from my LSS with the hopes of using them one day.

This week I am using some butterfly diecuts that I got in a swap a few months ago.  I thought they would be perfect for this challenge and to go with the Cloud digital paper that Sarah has!  It is part of her Wonderland CD and wow, some of the stuff she has on this is amazing! You can find out more about it here.  I also used one of her little sentiments.  You get a whole sheet of them including thank you, sorry, birthday and blank as well…another great thing to have for a quick card sentiment!

I hope you like the card and feel free to leave your comments.  Don’t forget to stop by Sarah’s blog too and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

This card was entered into the following challenges:

The Rubber Cafe: glitter and shine..

Wild Orchid: Love is

Bunny Zoe: Love is in the Air

Stamping Sisters: Psalm 23 (predominately blue & green)

Live in the Sunshine

Ah.  Sunshine.  I am living for the sunshine.  Winter’s here in Calgary are cold.  At least next week we leave for Cuba!  Todays ACAD was a simple one.  A great idea for any quick cards because this one took me NO time!  Using of course scraps and diecuts from my stash! Gotta love it.  I’m still trying to create as much as I can using stash stuff.  No new buying for awhile.

So here is the inspiration piece today

And here is my card

Nothing fancy about it, but a simple every day card.  Excuse the little bit of adhesive sticking out there, apparently I didn’t press my ribbon down hard enough!

Remember, the inspiration pieces can be found in A Card A Day by Papercrafts magazine which can be found at any bookstore or you can order it here.

I have a huge list of cards I need to make so I will be back with some more hopefully today.

BTW in case you were wondering..I’m doing a Biggest Loser challenge on FB so I was doing a Biggest Loser workout today and my butt kills! The fact that DH changed out my computer chair for one of those big balls is just adding to it! LOL
