This is our new sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog for you to play along with! It’s such an easy sketch and so easy to go from really simple to quite elaborate depending on your style.
I went somewhere in the middle….
I was making a flip book over the weekend using some simple stories, so I just used some of my left over pieces for this card. I thought it turned out quite cute for a holiday card. I decided to just round a couple of corners for the squares, just for a bit of added interest on it.
Be sure to head over to the blog and see the great stuff that the DT has for you!
Hey everyone! I am back after a rough bout of the flu! It had me laid up in bed for over a week and was not fun at all.
I am feeling much better now and able to get back to my crafting table and so I have a new project for you for Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Our we have a lovely slim line sketch for you this go round, but of course it could be modified for just a regular A2 size so don’t that scare you off!
Here is mine!
The slimline is from Mama Elephant and the stamped animals and sentiment are from Craft Addicts..I really love this grumpy animal set, it is just adorable. The tree is from another die that I got in a swap ages ago. I just used some Basic Grey paper for the focal piece as well as some cute silver little balls. I colored the images with my copics. I am sending this card to my swap partner for the Splitcoast Stampers Baker’s Dozen. I hope she likes it.
C’mon over to the blog and play along with us for this go round, we can’t wait to see what you create!
Have you popped over to the Cardz4Guyz blog yet? This week’s challenge is up – it’s SNOWMEN! Yeah!
So I have been trying to use up bits and bobs that seem to be all over my desk as of late. So for a fun challenge, I only used things for this card that were within arms reach and I think that it turned out really well.
The DP was in my scrap box and the image was one of the ones in my image box ( I do a lot of image swaps with my FB group!). I did a bit of coloring on the snow man and then added the sentiment and some red enamel dots. Not a fancy card but a lovely one just the same.
I hope that you play along with us over at C4G! I can’t wait to see what you create!
Our theme is Shaped cards! I haven’t done any for a long, long time. So I pulled out a die that I’ve not used forever from sizzix. It’s the triple circle flip. So I used it with the Harriet and Lantern image. I paired it with some Jolee’s Boutique Holiday paper pack. I also added some red foil paper that I found in one of my drawers and hadn’t used in such a while.
The little stamp set is from Stampin Up. A few glittered snowflakes and red Nuevo dots and we are done!
Make sure you stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for this fun challenge and be sure to link up your shaped cards!
This is a great mood board to go along with the Double Trouble challenges as well, which you can find on their blog here! So when you are entering our challenge, be sure to add one or two of the extra challenges that they have and add to theirs for a chance to win their prize! How fun is that!
Here is my card for the challenge
I chose to use all the challenges for this! Thing 1s challenge of a sweet treat is my sweet holiday drink with the yummy candy cane! Of course, I have Thing 2s challenge of the mood board which is also the UYS challenge for these next two weeks and then Thing 3s challenge of adding sprinkles is in my glitter paper and stickles!
I hope you enjoy it and please, stop by and play along with BOTH challenges!
Your project should have at least one of those three elements! Mine has 2. 🙂
I took my inspiration from this card I saw on Pinterest:
and I put together this!
The stamp is a new one I just picked up from Studio Katia that I thought was so adorable! I stamped and colored the elves and Santa with my copics and then cut out one elf to be popped up. I cut out the Merry from the Stampin Up Christmas Thinlits about 4 times from glitter paper and layered them together. The last step was to add some Pearlized Smooch for the hats/bears and then some Nuvo drops in a white to add the snow everywhere.
I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along with us this month. Stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created to inspire you!
I know, no one wants to hear about Christmas at the beginning of April. Don’t worry I hope to have some fun spring like projects for you as the month progresses. In the meantime, our newest challenge is up at Christmas Crafts All Year Round and our theme is all white. It’s ok to have a smidgen of of color but try to make it as much white as possible!
Here’s my card this month. I got this gorgeous white snowflake in a swap that I have been dying to use. I paired it with a snowfall embossing folder and the peace die from the Stampin Up Christmas Greetings thinlits. I actually cut out about 5 of them and glued them together to give them a bit of dimension and texture. To finish it off, I added some Nuvo dots. I hope you like it, and please play along with us this month, to win our great prize!
Our new monthly challenge is up at Brown Sugar Challenges. Our theme is Breast Cancer Awareness. I know last month was the actual month for this, but we are extending it one more month because it is such an important issue.
For my card I just chose to create a Christmas card but kept the pink theme for BCA.
I colored the image with my copics. The DP is from Snow Day by Crate Paper and the PEACE sentiment is from Stampin Up., I added a few sequins and a few little pearl dots from Nuvo. I hope you like it and please play along with us this month! Remember you can use anything that makes you think of BCA – the color pink, the ribbon symbol, perhaps it is an image that you found to help a friend or loved one as they battle this terrible disease.
Monday morning and we have a bunch of snow. Winter has arrived. **sigh** No doubt to last another 9 months here in Calgary. In honor of winter and snow, our theme at Use Your Stuff this week is well SNOW! The DT has created some great projects and here is a Christmas Card I created with some stash items I’ve had for awhile now.
I hope you like it and do play along with us this week. We love to see what you create!
So how thrilled am I, that I have joined the awesome team at Red Carpet Studio!!!! Movies and scrapbooking..can it get any better! I am so excited to join these ladies and I know you will have fun joining in the challenges we’ve got planned for you.
Our challenge this week is based on the movie:
I personally have not seen this one, but I’m sure that it is something my little guy would like! Our challenge for you is to use snow/snowflakes on your project and share it with us on the blog.
We also have a great sponsor for this challenge:
SpiegelMom Scraps is offering a gift certificate for $15 off any $20 purchase at her Etsy Shop.
Here is my layout for you!
I used some paper from my Frosted by Fancy Pants. I also used some thickers and glittered snowflake brads from my stash. The big blue snowflakes is a die in my collection. These gorgeous photos were taken at Banff when we were there in December for my staff Christmas party.
Thanks for stopping by and please check out the blog and all the great DT projects for you this week.
