Life is Good

I hope you all had an awesome weekend and remembered to set your clocks back an hour!  My favorite time of year. 🙂

Our Pile It On challenge is up and running!  Our great sponsor this month is Dr. Digi

The theme for this month is Pets/Animals.  Always a fun one!

I am using the digi Sofa So Good which I though was just adorable!

I needed to keep this as flat as possible as I plan to mail it out to my Baker’s Dozen Partner so I went with lots of layers.  The DP is from Lawn Fawn and Echo Park.  I colored the image with Copics and then cut it out with my MFT Crossstich Rectangle Die.  A few Nuovo dots and we are good to go!

Be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT have created for you.  Looking forward to seeing what you create!~

Merry, Merry

Yep, it’s October and I’m making Christmas cards!  Nuts right?  We’ve already had snow, so it makes perfect sense!

Our October challenge is up on the Christmas Crafts All Year Round blog and this month our theme is

SANTA / ELF/ FAIRY

Your project should have at least one of those three elements!  Mine has 2.  🙂

I took my inspiration from this card I saw on Pinterest:

153 Likes, 6 Comments - Studio Katia (@studiokatia) on Instagram: “Olga (@olga.moss)’s card features new Friends of Winter Stamp Set with added cute googly eyes and…”

and I put together this!

The stamp is a new one I just picked up from Studio Katia that I thought was so adorable!  I stamped and colored the elves and Santa with my copics and then cut out one elf to be popped up.  I cut out the Merry from the Stampin Up Christmas Thinlits about 4 times from glitter paper and layered them together.  The last step was to add some Pearlized Smooch for the hats/bears and then some Nuvo drops in a white to add the snow everywhere.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along with us this month.  Stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created to inspire you!

CCCC – Be a Unicorn

Good Morning!  It’s still crazy smoky here in Calgary due to the BC wildfires.  We have an air advisory warning and its like giant campfire cloud over the city.

Our new anything goes challenge is up at Color Crazy Craft Challenge today.  This week’s sponsor is Oddball Stamps!

Visit our lovely Sponsor

I’m using this adorable stamp called Magical Pile of Cute!  It most certainly is!  My goal was to make this a simple card as I am sending it to my Baker’s Dozen partner, so it can’t be too thick.  I colored the image with my copics.  I then took my glossy accents to all of my unicorns and added Wink of Stella to the horns.  I also added some Nuvo dots to the pom poms of the sprites.  The DP is just from my stash and I thought it was fun and whimsical to go with the stamp.   I hope you like it and drop by the blog to see the rest of the DT projects and to play along with us.

Hello

Hi there!  It’s a new week and a new challenge on the Use Your Stuff blog today.  I’m hosting this one, and our challenge is to upcycle/recycle an aspect of your project.

For me, I found a couple of paint chip samples on my desk and chose to use them with some die cuts to create a couple of cards.

For the first one, the I used them to cut out the HELLO sentiment as well as the feathers, both of which are from Stampin Up.  I added some embossing, twine and some Nuvo dots to finish it off.

dav

My second card, I made some shaker pockets and die cut some stars and balloons from what was left over after the first card.  The DP is just from my stash and the sentiment is from Stampin’ Up.

Please join us on the blog and check out what else we have to inspire you.

White Christmas

I know, no one wants to hear about Christmas at the beginning of April.  Don’t worry I hope to have some fun spring like projects for you as the month progresses.  In the meantime, our newest challenge is up at Christmas Crafts All Year Round and our theme is all white.  It’s ok to have a smidgen of of color but try to make it as much white as possible!

Here’s my card this month.  I got this gorgeous white snowflake in a swap that I have been dying to use.  I paired it with a snowfall embossing folder and the peace die from the Stampin Up Christmas Greetings thinlits.  I actually cut out about 5 of them and glued them together to give them a bit of dimension and texture.  To finish it off, I added some Nuvo dots.  I hope you like it, and please play along with us this month, to win our great prize!

Cup of Thanks

Hey you! Thanks for stopping by!  Today I’ve got a fun card for you for my guest spot on the Color Crazy Challenge Blog.  I’m using an image from Lemon Shortbread called Hot Cuppa Girl.   I just colored her with some basic markers.  I wasn’t really going for any shading or definition.  My DP is just random sheets from swaps that I have done recently.  I paired it with a sentiment from the Cup of Tea set from My Favorite Things.  A few Nuvo dots to finish it off and voila!  I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Flowers for You

Hello everyone!  Sorry I’ve not been on much, lots going on behind the scenes in my house that I’ve had to deal with.

Today is a new challenge on the Color Crazy Challenge Blog on which I am pleased to be a guest designer.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by Creatful Heart Stamps

I used the poppy digi stamp for my card this week, but I really wanted to play around with colors so I added some blue to the red (yes in my world poppies are blue!).  I just used some DP that I’ve had in my stash, little bits and pieces that I’ve received from swaps.  I’ve added some Wink of Stella to give a bit of sparkle to the flowers and then some Nuvo drops.  The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp.

I hope you like it and feel free to play along.  Don’t forget to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

I’m using the last little bits and bobs from my Snowy Day DP.  I paired it with some stickers from Simple Stories & Fancy Pants.  I added just a few little Nuvo dots in Blue Lagoon for a bit of extra texture.  I hope you like it.  Don’t forget to join in on our latest challenge at Kitty Bee as well…you can find it here!

BSC #272

Hey again!

Our new monthly challenge is up at Brown Sugar Challenges.  Our theme is Breast Cancer Awareness.  I know last month was the actual month for this, but we are extending it one more month because it is such an important issue.

Our sponsor is Di’s Digis

Picture

For my card I just chose to create a Christmas card but kept the pink theme for BCA.

dav

I colored the image with my copics.  The DP is from Snow Day by Crate Paper and the PEACE sentiment is from Stampin Up.,  I added a few sequins and a few little pearl dots from Nuvo.  I hope you like it and please play along with us this month!  Remember you can use anything that makes you think of BCA – the color pink, the ribbon symbol, perhaps it is an image that you found to help a friend or loved one as they battle this terrible disease.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

PPC #352

Hi all!  It’s been a little nuts here which is why I haven’t been around lately.  Now I’m trying to get back on schedule so here’s this week’s challenge from Penny’s Paper Crafty.  Our sponsors this week are  Fred She Said as well as Connie Fong Art

Today I am using a pre-colored image from Fred She Said to create this cute little Thank you card.

dav

I had this pre embossed panel in a swap and I thought it would look nice with the rose.  I printed it out 2x.  I fussy cut the whole thing once and then just the rose on the second one and popped it up with dimensionals.  The sentiment is a sticker from creative imaginations and then I added a few Nuvo drops in the black.

I hope you like it and will join us for our anything goes challenge this week.
