Dragonfly Dreams: September

Yep. It’s here. September. Soon to be Autumn. Soon to be Pumpkin Spice Season. **sigh** I am not ready to let go of summer yet.

Our newest challenge is up at Dragonfly Dreams and our theme is Birthday!

We have a new sponsor with us for this one. A lovely designer out of the UK named Lauren Waterworth. I am using a stamp called Birthday Cupcake from her shop on craftsuprint.com

I’m not sure why I went with a Halloween theme for this card. I just had this idea in my head to do Halloween cupcakes!

I printed off three of the cupcakes and colored them with my copics. I then added some stickles & Nuevo Drop to look like sprinkles. I decided to go with a slimline so that I could have enough room for all 3 of my cupcakes. I think that this is an older Echo Park line. I added just a bit of black glimmer paper in behind and of course some enamel dots. I just printed the sentiment off on my computer and I still felt it needed something to give it more of that Halloween theme, so I went with some little silver spiderwebs.

Head on over to the blog…the Design Team has some really great projects for you to check out! Be sure to play along with us this month too!

TMS #670

Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by to see today’s Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch for this week.

Debbie created this little beauty

I actually put this card together at the farm last week with those limited supplies that I brought along, remember? Not too bad if I do say so myself.

The DP is from Crate Paper and is a 6×6 pack that I have been working through for awhile now. I already had the image in my die cut tin. I didn’t have any shaped die cuts so I had to cut the oval out by hand which is a bit rough but gives it some visual interest right? 🙂 All the die cuts I had in my tin so that was ok, but I didn’t have any ribbon or twine! So I managed to find some kite string in the trailer and used that!! I took a little bit and colored it with an ink pad for the brown bow, just to set it off a little bit.

I think this turned out really well considering what I had to work with..LOL. Now be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you and as always, don’t forget to play along with us.

Dragonfly Dreams – August

So this is my month to choose the challenge on Dragonfly Dreams and I’ve gone with food/drink. We are being graciously sponsored by Twinkle Lane Designs

Shop – https://twinklelanedesigns.blog/shop/

Facebook Group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/145707866223056/
and the prize on offer for the winner is two images of their choice from the shop. Thanks so much Twinkle Lane

I am using an image called Donut Stack for my card.

I printed out the image on some copic friendly paper and then colored it with my copics. My DP is from Lawn Fawn and then I added a few Nuevo Drops to finish it up.

I hope you will play along with us for this challenge and be sure to stop by and leave the DT some love.

Dragonfly Dreams: July

It’s time for our July challenge at Dragonfly Dreams everyone! Our theme for the month is Indoor Activities/Hobbies.

I was at first stumped at what to do for this one, but then I realized that there is a lot that this could entail….board games, crafting, baking/cooking, watching movies or tv…lots really.

I chose to go with one of my son’s favorite activities…LEGOS! I’m sure a lot of moms can relate!

I have this Stampin Up set called Boys will Be Boys and it was perfect for this one.

I stamped the image in various directions quite a few times and then colored it with some copics just in some basic colors. It’s hard to se but some of them are also highlighted with some Glossy Accents (the ones that look a bit darker 😉 ). A perfect card for that boy in your life.

Make sure you drop by the blog and see the rest of the projects from the DT, they have a great variety for you!

Dragonfly Dreams: June

Happy Sunday one and all! Our new monthly challenge is underway over on the Dragonfly Dreams blog!

This month we are being sponsored by All Dressed Up Digital Stamps

Our theme is OUTSIDE! So let’s see the projects with an outdoor theme to them.

I’m using a digital stamp called Sight Seeing In Paris! I have been lucky enough to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower about 20 years ago. It was an event that was on my bucket list since I was about 6 and it was everything I thought it would be. I would love to be able to go back there again one day.

I used some DP from Crate Paper called Style Board. The image was colored with copics and my sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

I hope you like the card and don’t forget to head on over to the blog to see the rest of the DT creations.

TMS #648

For those of you that haven’t been over yet, the new sketch is up at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

You will be happy to know, that I didn’t use an SCT sampler this time! 🙂 I’ve had this image and sentiment on my desk for awhile now, given to me in a swap. I really wanted to use it up, so I went with it as the inspiration for the sketch.

I sent pretty simple with this sketch and kept pretty close to it. I colored the image with my copics and the paper is actually a paper pack I picked up from the dollar store. I loved all the leaves and plants in this one and thought it went well. The other sentiment was just from my jar and a few enamel dots and a fun card is ready to go.

Drop by the blog today to play along with us and don’t forget to the leave the rest of the DT some love too!

TMS: 624

Here we go with another great sketch for this week’s challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

This one has some great elements and fun layers to play with.

I was in the mood to do a little Halloween today. So just using a variety of papers in my box and pairing it with a cute stamp set from Stampin Up and voila! I added a few enamel stars from my stash as well.

Be sure to stop by the blog and play along with us and don’t forget to leave some love for the rest of the DT.

2CC – September

Wow! Here we are going into September everyone. Where did the summer go right? Ready for this month’s challenge over at 2 Crafty Critters?? It’s always anything goes as long as you have a critter in there somewhere!

Our sponsor this month is QKR Stampede Digital Stamps.

May be an image of text that says 'QKR Stampede The Somewhat Cute & Somewhat Quirky Rubber & Digi Stamps'

I am using their stamp Being Silly for my new baby card.

I found all this paper pack for babies and I have no idea where it came from but I liked the colors of the pink/purple/green.

I colored him with my copics and then cut him out and cut out a black outline for him, to give some definition. I just wanted to do some simple layers but I did circles and rectangles for some added interest. I brought in that green with the enamel dots from Your Next Stamp and the ribbon from my stash. I pulled the sentiment from my sentiment cup but I think it might be Taylored Expressions.

I hope you like it and can’t wait to see what you create when you play along with us.

2 Crafty Critters

Challenge # 53 is up over on the 2 Crafty Critters blog and this month we are being sponsored by Sheepski Designs!

Something a bit different this month.  We’re partnering with Double Troubleand here’s a bit about their theme which runs from August 1 through August 19.Challenge #90

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker – says, “Cleo, my purr-ty furbaby, is excited that August 8th is International Cat Day.  She’s “feline” that purr-haps it’s time for us to do something claw-some.  Cleo wants to celebrate all of her fur-ends by creating a project that includes any baby animal, e.g. kitten, puppy, chick, elephant.  She thinks this challenge is a paw-sibility, it’s purr-fect and will be pun for all.”
You can paws here… OR … use Twisted Sister’s optional twist for an additional chance to our random draw.

Thing 2:  Double Trouble
says, “Is this fur real? Let’s paws… I think I need a cat-titude adjustment. As long as mew have included a cute or baby animal, do not fur-get to enter your project HERE at 2CraftyCritterCrazies. I’m sure they will also like to see your claw-some projects.”  Don’t paws here but,  check out Cleo’s ‘Mew and Your Paw-some Pet” additional Special Random Draw located after the Design Team’s inspirational projects.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister says, “Paw-don me, are you kitten me?  This is hiss-terical!  I am purr-ple with laughter.   Let’s see if mew  can come up with a pun for your baby animal or feel free to use one of ours.  Have some pun with this optional twist.
And you’re already entering at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies so pop on over to Double Trouble and enter their challenge, too.  If it fits ours, it will fit their theme!  😀

I’m using the SheepSki Designs Image ” Dragons Fly”. I thought it would be fun because I don’t have any dragons!

Ya, you’re not seeing things. That’s some Echo Park and Doodlebug in there. Just when you thought it was gone! I colored the image with my copics and then cut them out and popped them up . I also added some Nuevo drops and some random word stickers I had.

Come play along with us this month. You have until August 25th to enter!

A new DT position

Hey Everyone! I’m really excited to be sharing my first project as part of the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Design Team! Our challenges are always anything goes as long as you use a critter in your project and it has to be prominent! We want to see that little guy!

This month the DT are using digital images graciously supplied to us by Beccy’s Place!

I chose the image from the Odd Bods collection!

I decided to go with a lot of layers for this card. I used a couple of dies from my stash and the sentiment is from a stamp/die set that I received in a SCT sampler awhile back and I use it a lot!

I colored her with my copics and I added a little bit of Wink of Stella to her fur. I added some Nuevo dots as well. The paper is just some pieces from other projects and sitting in my stash box. I was lucky to have some nice big pieces still to use!

I hope you like it and will play along with us over on the blog. We can’t wait to see what you create and don’t forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created for you!
