Santa’s Little Helper

Ooohh Christmas is getting so close.  My little guy is getting super excited and he had a visit with Santa today.

Have you been to the Pile It On blog yet today?  Our challenge is up and the theme is Shaped Cards and/or Add a Charm.  We are being sponsored by Crafty Sentiments

For this challenge I went with the add a charm aspect and created this card from the Stampin Up Memories and More Set.  I think it is just so cute.

I created this with the card pack and used a couple of the cards for my backgrounds and the little elf.  I added a sentiment from Recollection stamp/die set I had and I did some heat embossing..  The twine is from Michaels and I paired it with a Christmas charm from Tim Holtz that I have had for quite a long time.  I added a few gold bling to finish it off.

I hope you will play along with us this week and show us what you are creating!

May your days be Merry & Bright

Happy Thursday all!  I’m here with our latest challenge on the Southern Girls Challenge blog.  Ahh, this theme is a love/hate for me…it’s GLITTER!

Glitter is not my friend.  Glitter does not like me.  Luckily Glitter Paper and I are BFFS!  Seriously, I don’t do well with loose glitter, so I opted for some glitter paper to use on my card this week.

Our sponsor is All Dressed Up

I’m using Merry & Bright for my card.  I love this image!

The DP is from Jolee’s Boutique, a collection I’ve been using for the last little while.  I colored the image with my copics and then for the glitter challenge, I used some glitter paper to die cut my snowflakes.

Be sure to hop over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Welcome my pretties!  I’m giving you the deets on our new challenge over at Color Crazy….  as always, the theme is anything goes!   Our sponsor this week is Polkadoodles!

Display our badge...

I’ve created this card using the Polkadoodles image called “Snowman – Winnie Angel” as well.  I knew for this card I really wanted to go with the traditional red/green color scheme and so I just used some Recollection paper that i had in my stash.  I added some snowflakes that I recently picked up at the $$ store which I just love!  I colored her with my copics and then added a strip of washi and a word sticker to finish it off.  For a little extra fun, I did one edge in a fun border punch.

Your turn!  What are you coloring this week????

Do you Want to Build a Snowman….

Ya, we are into Tuesday.

Have you popped over to the Cardz4Guyz blog yet?  This week’s challenge is up – it’s SNOWMEN!  Yeah!

So I have been trying to use up bits and bobs that seem to be all over my desk as of late.  So for a fun challenge, I only used things for this card that were within arms reach and I think that it turned out really well.

The DP was in my scrap box and the image was one of the ones in my image box  ( I do a lot of image swaps with my FB group!).  I did a bit of coloring on the snow man and then added the sentiment and some red enamel dots.  Not a fancy card but a lovely one just the same.

I hope that you play along with us over at C4G!  I can’t wait to see what you create!

Let it Snow

Wow! Here we are in December!  Can you believe it….our tree is up,  the Elves on a Shelf have arrived, my holiday baking is started….yep, the holidays are here.

It’s a new challenge up here at Pile It On.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Sentiments Designs!

Our theme is Shaped cards!  I haven’t done any for a long, long time.  So I pulled out a die that I’ve not used forever from sizzix.  It’s the triple circle flip.  So I used it with the Harriet and Lantern image.  I paired it with some Jolee’s Boutique Holiday paper pack.  I also added some red foil paper that I found in one of my drawers and hadn’t used in such a while.

The little stamp set is from Stampin Up.  A few glittered snowflakes and red Nuevo dots and we are done!

Season’s Greetings

So here we are!  December 1st.  Can you believe it!  How many sleeps until the big guy comes????

I am teaching a card class at my mom’s senior’s home next week, and I wanted to share with you one of the cards that we will be creating which is also my DT contribution this month for the Christmas Crafts All Year Round December challenge.

Our theme is anything goes.  I was inspired by a card that I saw on Sarah Lloyd’s blog where you can find here.

I knew I wanted to use this cork paper that I have had in my stash forever!  It’s really hard to see but I ran it through my twigs embossing folder first.  The sentiment set is from Stampin Up which I stamped right onto the cork paper.  Then I punched out a couple of the twigs from my Stampin Up punch.    I have had this deer die for awhile now and have used it on many different projects, so I cut a bunch out of some gold glitter paper.  He is popped up against the white circle.  I took the little snowflakes from his body and added it as an embellishment with some sequins.  I also used washi tape for the strip.  The circle background is from the Jolie’s Boutique paper pack that I’ve used for a few projects now.

I hope you like it and drop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created and link up to  win this month’s prize.

Cardz 4 Guyz – Christmas Critters

Hello all!

Here we are with another challenge at Cardz4Guyz this week – our theme is Christmas Critters!

There are so many awesome digital and rubber stamps with critters and so I can’t wait to see what you create!

For my project, I’m sharing a box card with you that I made in my card class last month.  This was really fun to do and is built on a die set from Lawn Fawn as are the images.  We did a bit of embossing and stamping and added some awesome glitter pieces for some great color and texture.

I hope you like it and will play along with us this week!
