2 Old Bats December Challenge

Hey Everyone, here is this month’s inspiration for the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. I’m sure many of you are making Christmas cards but hey, give them a break and go for Halloween instead!

Here is mine!

I used some gold foil and ran it through the embossing folder. The die cut bats are from my stash and the sentiment is from my stash as well.

Be sure to swing by the blog and see what the DT has for you this month. We also have a prize if we get at least 50 entrants!

TOB: November

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! I know not everyone celebrates but we do here in Canada and my son was an avocado! Of course he was happy with all the candy he got but it was really cold here! There was ice and snow in some areas!

On to this month’s challenge for Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!

Another great mood board for you!

Inspired by the green and the witch, I did a fun ink smooshed background and then used my Recollections stamp and die set for the witch, sentiment and black cat. Some glittered ribbon and just a small piece of DP and a few enamel dots to finish off.

Don’t forget to stop by the blog to play along with us this month and to see what the rest of the DT has created.

2 Old Bats: September

Welcome everyone to this month’s new challenge for 2 Old Bats Halloween Challenge. Can you believe we are in September already!

As always, our challenge is anything goes and each month we give you an inspiration piece to get you started.

Here’s what I created for you

I was really inspired by those skeleton heads! I was actually going to go black and white and then I decided to add a little gold in there just because. The image is from a Tim Holtz halloween collection that I have and I went over it with some distress ink. The paper is from recollections. I die cut a piece of gold foil paper and then did a bit of gold embossing for my sentiment. I really like how this turned out.

Be sure to stop by the blog and see the great creations that the rest of the DT has done and be sure to play along with us with your own Halloween inspired project!

Two Old Bats: June Challenge

Happy June everyone! Wow! I can’t believe we are here already. Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge June challenge is up and ready to go for everyone!

Look at our great inspiration piece for you this month!

I really loved the dark, spooky black and orange in this inspiration piece. I was also drawn to the spooky haunted house.

I used some bits from the Chillingsworth Manor by Echo Park and some from a Recollections set that I had as well. I cut out the focal image from a 3×4 card. I hope that you will play along with us on this month’s challenge. Don’t forget to stop by and leave some love for the rest of the DT!

Ok everyone! It’s time for our new monthly challenge at Two Old Bats. We’ve got another great mood board. There’s lots to pick from here, pumpkins, green/orange/black/white, checks and stripes, eyeballs, cupcakes, witches and cauldrons, which are just a few that I picked out!

Here’s the card that I created for you!

So I used the Zelda Zombie from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and added some papers from my stash. I colored it with my copics and used some dies to cut out the panels.

I went with the flourescent green color in the mood board, as well as the black stripes from the witch’s legs.

Please come play along with us and see the rest of the way the DT has inspired you for this challenge.

And We are Back….

Hey all! I am back today with a new challenge up at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge blog! We took a bit of a break over the winter and we are now back and rarin’ to go.

So here is this month’s inspiration photo!

Lotst to play around with here!

For my card today I was really drawn to those eyeballs!

I broke open my Echo Park Trick or Treat paper pack for this one because it had that perfect jar of eyeballs. I also loved the black/orange/white color combo. I actually put glossy accents on those eyeballs to give them a bit more dimension. The ribbon and the Nuevo dots are from my stash. I hope that you can come and play along with us over on the blog and see the amazing projects the rest of the DT has created to inspire you.

TOBHC: November

November is here! Can you believe it!

Ok so today is our first full challenge over at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge...our jump start challenge was such an overwhelming success we can’t wait to see what you create with a whole month to do so!

Look at our awesome November mood board!

Our theme is anything goes and we hope that you will use this mood board as a kick start to your project as you play along with us!

I was really inspired by the black, white and purple color scheme as well as the witch silhouette for my card.

I used some Tim Holtz distress oxides to create the background and then I had a Recollections stamp and die set for the images. A little scrap of DP and some twine as well as a sentiment from Tim Holtz and we are set to go. I love how this turned out.

Now head over to the blog to see how the rest of the team were inspired by the board and then we hope that you will play along with us!

Here is our inspiration board for October!

Lots to pick from with this one. For me, I really liked that black and white word board and the pumpkins. So here’s my card

I was surprised how much Halloween stuff I actually have! Some dating back to 2009 if you can believe it! For this card I used some Chillingsworth Manor paper from Echo Park (2012) I’m pretty sure I won this collection. I added in some pumpkins that I die cut and embossed using an old Cuttlebug set that I had. The little words are just from Chillingsworth Manor as well and then the enamel dots are my stash. I love how this turned out and I can’t wait for you to play along with us.
