So ya. I’m behind. By like two days. That’s how long our sketch has already been up on the blog at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I don’t know how I missed this week! Ugh! Better late than never right!
This is one of the easiest sketches you are going to come across to use. You can make it as minimal or as detailed as you want. Perfect for leftover scraps of some embossed cardstock. Don’t want to use a circle? Try a star or an oval or really whatever shape you fancy.
This probably the last card that you are going to see with the July 2020 SCT Sampler because I am all done with it! I love this card. I think it turned out really well. I paired this with a sentiment stamp set from Hero Arts called Cheeky Birthday.
Come on over to the blog, you still have time to create with us!
It’s the first Sunday of the month so it’s our challenge up at Dragonfly Dreams! This month we are being sponsored by Connie Fong!
I got to use these adorable little piggies and made this fun fold card!
I was using some papers from the American Crafts valentine collections of XOXO and Be My Valentine. I colored the piggies with my copics and then fussy cut them to add to the front panel . The enamel hearts are just from my stash!
Don’t forget to head over to the blog to play along with us and to see the other great creations from the Design Team to inspire you.
Sorry for the late posting today! My son got braces yesterday and they are really causing him some problems so I’ve been trying to get him sorted with that.
I used some papers from XOXO and My Funny Valentine from American Crafts. I used a fun sticker from Recollections. I added some enamel dots from my stash to finish it off.
Be sure to stop by the blog to see all the great projects that the team has for you.
I used up the last little bit of my May SCT 2019 Sampler for this card. I only had a few bits of paper left (although a lot of embellishments). It’s the Kaleidoscope collection by Vicki Boutin for American Crafts.
It’s a pretty bold pattern on the right, so I paired it with a more subtle solid on the left. The flower is from the collection as are the leaves. I added a Paper Smooches sentiment and just a few bling from my stash.
A simple card, but perfect to say hello to a friend! Come on over to the blog and see how the rest of the DT made this sketch work this time around!
Last time, I did another Doodlebug card! With I’m sure some items from a Sampler! LOL
Our January theme is on the blog for Christmas Craft Creations and you just need to head over to play along….what is the challenge you ask??
This month’s prize is a brand new Cozy Christmas stamp set, generously donated by Boryana. The prize winner will be picked randomly from among those entrants who have followed all the rules. Rules are in the side bar of the blog if you need a refresher.
Here is my card!
The paper is from my stash christmas box. The sentiment and the cute little cozy cups are from Lawn Fawn’s Love you a Latte collection. The red twine that I used for this one is from American Crafts. I cut the die cut ovals with one of my faves, my good ol’ CC Designs Oval die. a cute little card to send to someone on a cold day.
Now head on over to the blog and get in on this month’s challenge to win that great prize and also to see what the rest of the DT has created for you!
Hey Everyone! This week we are working with Debi’s favorite sketch on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog! which is this fun Tall & Skinny one from March 10th!
This is what I came up with for this go round.
I used the Echo Park COFFEE collection to do this card. I really wanted to finish the paper pack and had just enough, although I still have a lot of the frames/tags and die cuts left over for some other projects. I also added some American Craft cording to the tag.
Now time to head on over to the blog to see the rest of the great DT creations!
Ya so. I am so far behind in my Samplers, I took a year off and then well, I missed them so I started up again. Slowly I am trying to go through my old stock.
Here are a couple cards that I made using some of the My Mind’s Eye Good Vibes collection. This was a bit of a challenge for me, I’m not sure if it was the icons or the colors but I wasn’t sure what to create.
Gina K recently did a FB live using the August 2020 sampler and then some of her new Master Layout dies and so I took my inspiration from that. Here’s a link to her dies! I think you have to join the SCT Sampler FB page to see the actual video.
I used some of the DP and one of my die sets (sorry I can’t remember which one it was) then I backed the die cut with some black and popped it up. The sentiment is actually from Taylored Expressions I believe. The sequins are from my stash.
Then there is this one
Again using that same die set, I cut out some of the DP paper and just backed it on the black cardstock. The focal is a 3×4 card that came with it and I added a stamped sentiment from Mama Elephant that I have been wanting to use for while. I just added a few enamel dots to finish it off.
I hope you like these! If you are interested in purchasing your own SCT Sampler subscription from Scrapbook & Cards Today, you can find all the information here:
Honestly, this is a great way to get a snippet of all the up and coming new product on the market to see if it is something that you want to buy more of. There’s always always such fun things like stamp sets, dies, etc…it’s always a fun surprise every month! Just as an example in this particular sampler, besides all the really great paper, there was also a Lawn Fawn die set, a die From Spellbinders and some Sticky Dots from Therm O Web, tags from American Crafts and some great cardstock from My Colors Cardstock! Crazy right!
So you take a minimum of 3 items from the list and use it on your project! I love stuff like this!
Here’s what I’ve got.
I really love how this turned out. I’m trying to incorporate more mixed media into my projects so I thought this was a great start.
The three I picked were: ice cream, watercolor and pattern (polka dots). I used some distress oxide inks for the water colored background and then I cut the ice cream cones out of some left over Dear Lizzy paper that I have had for AGES! The polka dot piece is just a scrap and then I finished it off with some enamel dots from my stash and a Taylored Expressions sentiment strip that I cut in half. I hope you like it!
Hey there! Still with me…. Does this quarantine feel like it’s going on forever?? I must say though, I’ve done more crafting during this quarantine than I probably have done all last year! Nuts!
This is a nice one! Lots to work with! I went pretty simple for mine and just used some scraps I had in my box and a sentiment from my jar. The flower is just from a pack of die cuts that I opened up last week and had sitting on my desk. There is nothing fancy about this card but I love the simplicity of it and it’s a perfect sketch for feminine/masculine and any occasion. Make it your own! Remember a sketch is a recipe not a rule book….

Happy Sunday everyone! We are well in January now and I hope that it is starting off great for you.
It’s my spotlight day on the Kitty Bee Designs blog, and I decided to make a fun Valentine’s day card with the cute Sushi Buddies, which can be found in the store here.
I used the papers from a couple of DP’s I got last year in a swap – Pebbles My Funny Valentine and also My American Crafts xoxo. I also pulled out a fun heart doily from my stash.
I colored the images with my copics, and the sentiment I just printed out on my computer. I also added a simple heart brad and few small gems to finish it off. I hope you like it! Don’t forget to stop by the Kitty Bee blog to play along in our current challenge.
