Hey everyone. Happy Tuesday. Head on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog and see our new sketch and the DT inspiration for you!
This is a great sketch if you need a quick and simple card and yet has the option to really embellish it up if you want to.
I used the last of my Splendor collection by My Mind’s Eye. I just really love this stuff! Rather than splitting the paper and using to separate ones as the sketch shows, I decided to just keep it as one, and then I added my ribbon and bow to separate them. The HUGS die I’ve used before and it is one of my favorites and I believe it came in my last online class with SCT Magazine. Then I just added some sequins and a little fishtailed piece to complete.
Be sure to stop by our blog and see the great designs the rest of the DT has made with this awesome sketch!
So I’ve done up to week 6 of Allison Davis’ 6×6 Paper Class, which for me is pretty significant. LOL Going by past experience, I’ve bought lots of classes and not even started them yet.
Here is week #4
I did this while vacationing at the farm, so I think that this is using one of my samplers. I’m not sure which one it was. I didn’t have a lot of embellishments with this one left so I like to cut out parts of the papers to use as embellies.
This is week #5 using the O Canada collection from Photoplay Paper. Now for this one, I decided to use full sheets of paper and cut them down to the 6×6 size because I really wanted to use this paper line for these pictures. I used embellishments from the collection on this and some of my own mini alphas and thickers.
And finally sketch #6
I like this sketch and it is using the February SCT sampler from 2018 and the My Mind’s Eye Splendor Collection and probably some of the Color Fresh collection from Heidi Swapp in the same sampler.
I love these samplers, and look, you can do some great layouts with just the few pieces that you get in the sampler. I added some of my own embellishments and my own thickers, but I am a big fan of using some of the papers to cut out the images and use them as embellishments as well.
I did mine a bit differently from the sketch but you can still see the main bones of it!
I am using some of the last bits of the March 2018 Scrapbook & Cards Today Sampler. I believe this is from My Mind’s Eye for the DP and the donut which was cut out of another piece of DP. The pink polkadot cardstock is from My Colors Cardstock , the stamp is Lawn Fawn (I use this one so much!) and the enamel dots are from MME as well.
I’m almost done this sampler and then it’s on to the next one. Head over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created, leave them some love and don’t forget to play along!
So the Use Your Stuff challenge is MASCULINE OR FATHER’S DAY. It’s also one of the challenges on Double Trouble and they have added an extra element of adding a round element to your project as well. So when you are creating keep those in mind and you can link to both challenges! Double Trouble also has a random draw so the more of their challenge concepts you use, the more chances to win!
I’m sharing with you a layout of my son and his best friend that was taken a few years ago. They were just being silly like they do when they are together!
It’s funny to use pink and flowers on a boy layout but I actually liked how this turned out!
The DP is from My Mind’s Eye. I added some chicken wire from Stampin Up and I think a few little embellishments from my stash that might be from various other collections.
I cut the title out using my Cricut.
Come play along with us and with Double Trouble…looking forward to seeing what you create!
We have a really fun color challenge for you this week! Look how bright this is!! Just perfect for your summer projects!
So for my card this week, I dabbled in some watercoloring. I say dabbled because I’m not very good at it, but it was fun to play! I used my Sakura Create watercolor markers as well as some copics and a few of the distress oxide inks!
My DP is from My Minds Eye – an older collection called Notable. I also just added a few little sequins for that pop of red.
I hope you will join us over on the blog this week. Play along, let us see what you can create with these colors and check out what the rest of the Design Team has created for you!
Hi Everyone! I’m back from my annual Cuba vacation, which was perfect of course! Amazing weather and lots of fun!
Time to get busy creating again! Our challenge this week at Use Your Stuff is to create a project using 3 different patterned papers. It’s for challenges like this that I love co-ordinating paper from manufactures, and when they are double sided- even better!
As I was doing a monthly challenge on the Scrap Shotz site as well which was to use a themed paper for a non-themed project, I chose some Valentine’s Day papers from My Mind’s Eye.
I’ve had these papers for years and it was finally nice to get them open and used. I chose them for a new baby layout instead! I hope you like it and I hope you will join us on the blog and play along.
Paper: Be Loved & Love Me Do: My Minds Eye
Vellum sentiment: DCWV
Embellishments: Ribbon, sequins – Michaels, Clear Date Piece – Little Yellow Bicycle, Hearts & Brads – My Stash
So I went to my Stampin UP card class on Tuesday and Susan had this great double easel card that we made. I just love learning new fancy folds and techniques. Totally fun! Here is one that I created for the Stuck On U Sketches challenge this month. It’s all about the key to your heart, so keys, locks and hearts!
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a post that wasn’t for a DT assignment. I’ve been using a lot of sketches lately for my projects and I got my email this am that Tuesday Morning Sketches has a new sketch up.
So here’s what I made.
The DP is from MME (Lost and Found Christmas). I had this glitter paper that I’ve been hoarding forever to use with the stars. The image is from my stash. I’ve had it forever and I’m trying to use them up this season. I colored the image with my Copics. I hope you like it.
Our challenge is a simple anything goes for this week and you have the chance to win 3 digis from Rick’s Store. This week I am playing with 2 of his images, the first one is called Snoozy Elf
I just really thought he was so cute! I used some DP from the 12 Days of Christmas line from MME. I colored with my copics and I added some bling. I thought it would be fun to give the little jingle bells some added shine so I went over them with my glossy accents!
The next image is called Waltz. I thought she was very dainty and classy and for some reason, she inspired me to make an ATC. I haven’t done one of these in a very long time. I just used a bunch of little things that were already on my desk
I used my TH inks for this one. I colored her with my copics and then went over her with some modge podge. I inked the ATC card and then went over it with my french script stamp. I then added some ripped up paper that was sent to me in a swap. The sentiment was one that was sent to me in a different swap. i had that little rose in a bucket from…somewhere and then some little seed pearls. I then went over everything with modge podge and a finally spray with some spritz for a bit of glistening shine! I really like how she turned out.
I hope you will stop by the blog to see the other DT creations , including some from Rick’s DT who are joining us this week! There is some great mojo flowing on that page!
Happy Tuesday everyone! It has been a long week in my house as my son has been sick again. He just got over his ear infection and then he got hand/foot/mouth disease. He’s been cooped up inside for awhile now and he’s going stir crazy and so is his mama! 🙂
We have a great new challenge for you at Use It Tuesday this week. It’s a Sticky situation when we want you to use the sticky parts of your stash…those rub-ons (oh do I have a lot of those), embossing powders and stickers (everyone has some in their stash, I know it!)..or anything else that sticks….
I created this card using some Glubbers…I bought them 2 years ago when they first came out and never once used them! I also used a couple of different rub ons for this card in the sentiment and the little stitches. I also broke out my glue gun and used it to adhere the bling to the flower! I’m now using my glue gun for EVERYTHING! LOL
The DP is the last of my MME All Spice 6×6 pack. Another one bites the dust…I am so happy I am finally using them up! The ribbon and the bling flower are from my stash as well. I got the sketch for this card from Andrea Walford’s blog . Every week she comes out with a great sketch that is easy to do and has step by step instruction. Love them! Thanks Andrea!
Make sure you stop by the UIT blog to see the wicked inspiration we have for you this week. There are some great sticky bits in our stashes this week. 🙂
