Ooohhh check out this great theme for this week’s challenge at Make the Cards Challenge blog!

I’m gonna be honest, it’s been awhile since I’ve used Washi for anything so I was pretty happy for this challenge.

I finally cracked open this strawberry stamp set that I got from Lawn Fawn along with the Lawn Fawn Basket die. I also added some of their dot paper to go with my dotted washi border. I just did some basic coloring with my copics and I added some leaves from another die set I had.

This is a super easy challenge and I’m sure you have some washi that is in a drawer in your stash….bust it open, go for one that you’ve not used yet – plan your card around it….it’s a fun challenge to give yourself!

I’ll be stopping by your blog to see what fun you have come up with!

Hello my pretties! Are you ready for this week’s sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches?? Pretty right?

I decided to go with a different orientation for my card than the sketch! I’ve been playing with some new dies that I’ve had sitting on my desk for awhile. I believe the FRIEND is from one of my SCT samplers. The butterfly one I got recently and honestly, I thought it cut the butterflies out openly but I’m kinda glad it doesn’t. This gives you the option of leaving them closed or adjusting the wings a little bit.

The paper is just a plaid from Lawn Fawn and then the little iridescent confetti is Studio Katia. I decided to use some ribbon from my desk instead of the banner for the middle to anchor my sentiment. I’m loving this black embossed background and then these soft subtle colors.

Ok, now it’s your turn. Head over to the blog, play along with our challenge and be sure to check out the projects from the DT.

Dragonfly Dreams – August

So this is my month to choose the challenge on Dragonfly Dreams and I’ve gone with food/drink. We are being graciously sponsored by Twinkle Lane Designs

Shop – https://twinklelanedesigns.blog/shop/

Facebook Group – https://www.facebook.com/groups/145707866223056/
and the prize on offer for the winner is two images of their choice from the shop. Thanks so much Twinkle Lane

I am using an image called Donut Stack for my card.

I printed out the image on some copic friendly paper and then colored it with my copics. My DP is from Lawn Fawn and then I added a few Nuevo Drops to finish it up.

I hope you will play along with us for this challenge and be sure to stop by and leave the DT some love.

A new (favorite) technique !

For day 2 of the Spring Card Class 2022 with Kristina and Jennifer, I learned a new technique called Joseph’s Coat which is pretty cool. It when you create an inked up card panel, and then stencil over it in black ink. How cool is this!!

I created my rainbow background panel using inks from Your Next Stamp, Lawn Fawn and The Stamp Market. The star stencil I used was distressed stars from Plaid Crafts which I used with black Memento Ink. I heat embossed a sentiment from Stampin Up for the focal point and then just a few clear enamel dots.

This card was based on the Cathy Zielske example for the class. I’m pretty sure I’m going to chalk this up as a new favorite because it is just so easy and makes such an impact on your project. I love the effect!

Thanks for stopping by.

Entered into these challenges:

Alphabet Challenge: E is for embossing

Creative Inspiration: Masculine

Pammie’s Inky Pinkies: Anything Goes

Seize the Birthday: Favorite Technique

Hello all!

I’m here with today’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches!

This is a great sketch if you like shaker cards or just doing an image on top of an image.

For my card I used a fun die set from LDRS Creative. I got this as part of my Crop & Create Cardmaking online class that I did this past weekend, hosted by Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine. We also were given a fun matching stamp set as well. I used some paper from my stash to go with this. The background under the sentiment was ink blended with a variety of inks from Stampin Up, Kraftin Kimmie and Lawn Fawn.

I also added a couple of clear Nuevo dots to it.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to head over to the blog to play along and also to see the rest of the great creations from the DT!

CCC: March

Our theme this month for Christmas Craft Creations is to create a Slimline card!

Some people may think this is daunting, but it’s actually quite easy and is really fun if you want to create a scene in your card. It gives you just a bit more space!

Now continuing on with the Frosties Stamp & Die set from Lawn Fawn, I created my slimline for you

I used my Studio Katia slimline dies to create this, and I ink blended some Lawn Fawn Sugar Plum and Peacock inks. Then I used the stars and snow stencil in the same colors. I stamped and die cut the snow flakes and added a bit of stickles to the centre. I also added some sequins in the purple & teal (I really like this color combo btw). The sentiment is from Craft Addicts Too which was just the right size for this card.

Be sure to stop by the blog and play along with this month’s challenge!

I’ve got today’s new challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches for you. This one is designed by Debbie~

So I have been trying to work on some old online card classes that I’ve had sitting here from Scrapbook & Cards Today – the online Crop & Create ones. They pack a lot of punch into those weekends so there are a lot of classes!

I did a Lawn Fawn one, hosted by Jenn Shurkus in the October 2021 event. We got to play with some watercoloring and some fun stamps/dies and stencils from Lawn Fawn of course. These are the Frosties collection.

Now this isn’t the exact card that we made, as I altered it for this challenge, but I really like how it turned out. All those snowflakes and swirls are part of the set we got for the class. The unicorn is a different Lawn Fawn set called Winter Unicorn which I stamped and then colored with some matching Copics. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and then I just added a few enamel dots from my stash.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog so you can play along with us! You can also stop by the SCT blog to find out more about the Online Crop & Create classes (we have another one coming up next weekend and wooweeee..you should see the product we are going to be working with!) by going here.

Use Your Stuff # 427- Summer Fun

Hey there! So it’s been a very long time since I’ve joined in on a challenge for Use Your Stuff but I hope to be doing more of them!

This week’s challenge is Summer fun….anything really to do with summer! I’m sure many of us are enjoying the sunny days right now.

I created a fun card for a summer birthday!

I got this fun new die from Crafty Addicts and I really wanted to use it! I cut it out just in black cardstock and then placed some of the squares back in. I then added some fun Doodlebug stickers. The plaid paper is my go to from Lawn Fawn! The sentiment is from one of my SCT stamp sets. I really like this die and I think I will be using it a lot.

Come on over to the UYS blog, see what the DT has created and please play along with us!

Hello Friends! Here we are in mid-July and I am getting ready to head to my farm for 10 days! Super excited to relax and do nothing but scrap or read! Maybe even catch up on some of my scrappy YouTube videos on my Save to Watch Later list!

Ok, on to this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I really liked this one!

Now I’ve still been playing with some bits and bobs of Doodlebug Designs that I have because it just makes me feel all summery and happy!

Now I really love pairing my Doodlebug with my Lawn Fawn! I think that both companies blend so well together as you can see here! I used some Doodlebug stickers as well as some Lawn Fawn & Doodlebug papers. The enamel hearts are from my stash but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were from one of these 2 companies.

I also used a sentiment stamp that is a favorite of mine and I received in a SCT sampler. I’ve used those stamps sooo many times.

I hope you enjoyed my card and the DT has really outdone themselves this time so be sure to stop by to see what they have to show you!

Happy Tuesday Friends! Are you ready for this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches?

You can do a lot with this one!

I had some of these cute little Lawn Fawn squirrels left over from another project so I definitely wanted to use them on this one. The paper is from Echo Park as are the enamel dots and the sentiment is just from my stash. I hope you like it!

Swing by the blog to see the rest of the projects, leave some love and play along with us! See you there!
