Dragonfly Dreams: May

Hello one and all. I’m slowly trying to get back into the groove but I will admit this Covid thing is kicking my butt.

Over on the Dragonfly Dreams blog our new challenge for the month of May is up.
We are being sponsored by Fred She Said this month and our theme is Butterflies and/or Flowers.

I got to play with these awesome pre colored images and I must say, there were a lot!

I really love this card!

So I decided to go with a slimline and used my Studio Katia slimline dies for this card. I printed out an assortment of the flowers and butterflies for this card and then made a fun cluster. The HAPPY die cut is from my stash and the HELLO is from Gina K. I added a few little bling as well. You can’t tell from the photo but a few of the phtos have some Wink of Stella and I also went over a couple of them with a white gel pen to give it a little more depth.

Dragonfly Dreams – April

YIKES! It has barely registered that we are already into April. Where the heck did March go???? As such, I am a bit behind with this post ! Our new challenge is up at Dragonfly Dreams and this month we are looking for your spring and/or Easter projects!

For my card today, I am using the image Strawberry Season

It is a perfect image for spring….the gardens will soon be starting to grow and fresh strawberries are so yummy!

I kept my card fairly simple so that I could highlight the image. I colored first in copics and then cut it out with my circle die. I then added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flowers and the strawberries.

My paper is just some Doodlebug Designs in dots and checks….I love these for backgrounds! I punched out a little heart for my tags and then the sentiment was from my stash. To finish it off, I added a few tiny bling from my stash to give it that little sparkle!

Dragonfly Dreams: March

March is here people! Can you believe it! We are well on our to the first third of the year!

Ok, on to the important stuff! Our March challenge is up at the Dragonfly Dreams blog and our theme is Things that Make you Smile!

Our Sponsor is Stamper’s Delights this month.

I am using the Kawaii Chocolate Bar for my project this month and I did some paper piecing! I’ve not done it in awhile so I thought it would be fun for this.

I printed the image out on 3 different colors of cardstock and then cut the pieces as I needed them. I also added a few details, like some Wink of Stella and some Nuevo Drops. I used my SMILE stamp and die set from SCT delivered for the sentiment.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Our first one in September at Tuesday Morning Sketches and we have a great sketch for you this week.

Here we go with my card!

I used some of the last bits of my Wildflower and Honey Collection from my August 2019 sampler. You can see for my card rather than going with a circular centre image, I went with a tag. I added some white wink of stella on the flower to add a bit more interest. Some Neuvo drops for those corners.

A new DT position

Hey Everyone! I’m really excited to be sharing my first project as part of the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Design Team! Our challenges are always anything goes as long as you use a critter in your project and it has to be prominent! We want to see that little guy!

This month the DT are using digital images graciously supplied to us by Beccy’s Place!

I chose the image from the Odd Bods collection!

I decided to go with a lot of layers for this card. I used a couple of dies from my stash and the sentiment is from a stamp/die set that I received in a SCT sampler awhile back and I use it a lot!

I colored her with my copics and I added a little bit of Wink of Stella to her fur. I added some Nuevo dots as well. The paper is just some pieces from other projects and sitting in my stash box. I was lucky to have some nice big pieces still to use!

Dragonfly Dreams: Add some Sparkle

Hey there all! I can’t believe we are already into May. The time has definitely got away from me. Have you been to the Dragonfly Dreams blog yet today?

Our May challenge is up, which is a fun one! Add Sparkle…there are so many things that you can use to sparkle and shine up your projects.

I was lucky enough to get this cutie called Pepper Belle Flora and she can be found here in the store!

For me, I went with some glitter paper that I don’t use near enough and of course some glitter Nuevo drops! You can’t see it, but for an extra layer, I also did the wings in some Wink of Stella. I colored her with my copics and my DP is from Lawn Fawn (yes, I’m still trying to work through this rainbow pack and it’s almost done! LOL). The sentiment is from the little jar on my desk of pre stamped/embossed sentiments so I’m not sure where this one is from.

Your Smile

Happy Monday!

Today I have a card that was part of my Stampin Up stamper’s group.  We all got this card kit with a bunch of elements and had to pick 3 of them to create our card.  I chose the flower the sentiment and the DP.  I also used the teal border that was in the kit.

I don’t know which set this is from as it was a pre-stamped image for me. I just colored it with my copics and added some wink of Stella for a bit of shine. I added the black oval from my CC Design’s oval die cuts and some enamel dots from I believe Carta Bella!  I love the teal with the rose gold!

Winter’s Peace

Oh my gosh! Here we are in the last full week of October.  This year has just flown by, or maybe it’s just me….

I’m still working primarily on Christmas cards to prepare for my craft fair in November, so I have a lovely one to share with you today for the Cardz4Guyz challenge this week.  Our theme is Into the Woods – creating a project that has an aspect of the woods to it.  It could be a woodland creature, leaves, trees, rustic etc.  Lots of ideas to play around with.

I’ve had this die cut sitting on my desk waiting to be used for quite awhile now.  It was sent to me in a swap and I’ve been longing to use it up so I just decided that this was it.  I chose to go with a White on White card, probably because I rarely do them but they just look so good!

 

I paired the image with the falling snow enbossing folder from Stampin Up as well as the Christmas Thinlits PEACE which I cut out of some silver foil.  The bling is from my stash and then I went over the image with a bit of Wink of Stella for just a hint of shimmer.

Color Crazy#41

I’m not sure how my dates are getting mixed up folks, but I’m late with this posting! My apologies!

Our new anything goes challenge is ready to go at Colour Crazy and our sponsor this week is the awesome Ching-Chou Kuik.

 

I’m highlighting a really cute digi called Toadstool HeadToadstool Head and this is a really versatile one.  It could be used for any occasion, as you will be able to tell when you head over to the blog and see the DT creations for you!

Myself, I chose to do an autumn card.  I colored her in autumn hues with my copics and then added a bit of wink of stella to her head wings and legs.  The DP is just from my stash and then I cut out a few leaves with a punch and tucked them in behind with a tag and some fun burlap for a bit of texture.

I’m using an image called Build a  Snow Scene Quintuplet.  I think this little flamingo is awesome!

The DP is from Michaels called Ice Crystals and also Gingerbread Cottage.  I colored the image with my copics and then added some Wink of Stella to the skates and the hat.  I added just a few sequins and a brad from my stash to finish it off.
