UYS #486 Flowers

So I’ve been watching these reels on FB and Instagram videos on these gorgeous small journal pages, and so ya, I jumped on that. I ordered a bunch of stuff from soto-studios and this is the first page that I’ve created using my starter pack. You get so much in that starter pack right away. It would take awhile to go through it all, and it’s a nice assortment of embellishments to get you started.

So the new challenge this week at Use Your Stuff is flowers so I wanted to incorporate that theme as well as some items from the Festive Friday #0136 International Fairy Day Inspo List.

I really love how this turned out. My sampler comes with it’s own journal and removable journal pages.

So for the Festive Friday I used the fairy of course, flower embellishments, stars, pink and although they are hard to see, I do have some vellum leaves on this as well. (ooopsie, when I was taking the picture, I didn’t realize I cut off the word unimaginable!. LOL).

No doubt I will have more pages to share in the coming days!

TMS #696

Hey everyone, guess what? It’s my sketch choice up on the blog at Tuesday Morning Sketches today.

I picked this one, because it’s so simple and really, you can use just one piece of 6×6 double sided paper and some focal image or embellishment and voila, you are done. You could literally make this in 5 mins!

So this was my first card back in February of last year!

Here’s today’s for you!

So an interesting note. I created the second card first and then went back to find the first one for this post. I was surprised at how similar the two are! 🙂 I used one piece of 6×6 paper that was tucked in with a birthday card that I was given to make this card. I die cut some cardstock circles to match. The sentiment is just from my stash and the vellum leaves are Stampin Up. A few enamel dots and gems from my stash and this is ready to go!

Be sure to head to the blog for the rest of the DT showcases and I can’t wait to see what you create too!

MTCC: Sketchy Challenge

Ohhh sketchy challenges 2 days in a row! Lucky you! This one is for Make the Cards Challenge this week.

Ok, this is what I did!

This looks like the Carta Bella collection from yesterday, but I don’t think it all is. Some may be though. I love the gold accents in this one with the sentiment and heart from my stash. I also love the vellum leaves that I added in there. A dainty little card. I hope you like it.

C’mon over to the MTCC blog and play along with us. The rest of the DT have some great projects for you to check out too!

TMS Andrea’s Favorite

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by!

It’s our first challenge of the new year at Tuesday Morning Sketches. For the next few weeks, each DT member will be highlighting a sketch that they particularly enjoyed over the last year.

Today we are working with Andreas!

Here’s my card!

I went with a 6×6 card for this one. The DP I think is Jillibean Soup. The flowers & leaves are Doodlebug. I added some vellum and a little birdie to go with the sentiment. I like the colors of this one. I hope you will swing by the blog and play along with us as we hit the year running!

Hello!  I want to share with you a card that I created for theFestive Friday Creative Challenge!

This is what they gave us to work with and the challenge is to use any three on your project!

Here’s my card, using this month’s Sheetload of Cards from Call Me Crafty Al.  You can find the link here, to see how you too can get these really fun monthly sketches!

Here is my card!

I managed to incorporate quite a few of the suggestions in this card!  I used some pieces from my October 2018 SCT Sampler…

The DP is from Bella Blvd’s Sweet & Spooky Collection (flowers and polkadots).  The stamped image (green) and sentiment (friendship sentiment) is from Stampin Up as are the inks.  I did emboss the sentiment using some Stampendous embossing powder (embossing).  The die cut is also from Stampin up and the vellum is my last of the Doodlebug!  (I got a lot of projects out of that 12×12 sheet!).  To finish it off, just some bling from my stash (sparkle).

If you want a fun challenge the Festive Friday blog has some great ones and this one is open until the 30th.

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

Sending Hugs

It’s another Monday and that means another fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff…our theme….Monochromatic.  Break out all those shades of your favorite color, or better yet, your challenging color, and see what you can create.

For me, the challenge color is PINK…I’m not a pink fan.  I had some pieces left over from my very first Scrapbook & Cards Today Sampler Pack from January!  That’s what I used for today’s card.

I ran some pink cardstock through a polka dot embossing folder and then added a sheet of the vellum that came in the pack.  Next was my CC designs die to cut the oval out of some of the DP from the pack which is Simple Stories Romance collection.  The die cuts are actually paper clips from the Vicki Boutin All the Good Things line.  I just cut the little clip part off.

I used MFT sentiment die to cut out the Sending Hugs.

I hope you like it and hop over to the blog and play along with us!  Can’t wait to see what you create!

A Blessing

Hi Everyone!  I’m back from my annual Cuba vacation, which was perfect of course! Amazing weather and lots of fun!

Time to get busy creating again!  Our challenge this week at Use Your Stuff is to create a project using 3 different patterned papers.  It’s for challenges like this that I love co-ordinating paper from manufactures, and when they are double sided- even better!

As I was doing a monthly challenge on the Scrap Shotz site as well which was to use a themed paper for a non-themed project, I chose some Valentine’s Day papers from My Mind’s Eye.

I’ve had these papers for years and it was finally nice to get them open and used.  I chose them for a new baby layout instead!  I hope you like it and I hope you will join us on the blog and play along.

Happy Mother’s Day

I know that most scrappers will be celebrating NSD in one form or another this weekend.  I know I will be.  I’m off to my annual crop being sponsored by Sandy over at  Scrapshotz all day Saturday with my friends and cannot wait!

We do have a challenge for you at Creative Corner Challenges this week, perhaps something to work on while you are celebrating.  It’s all about the special women in our lives, on their special day…it could be a mom, stepmom, grandma, favorite aunt or that one lady in your life that was like a mom to you.  We want to see your Mother’s Day projects this week.

The DT has some lovely projects for you.  Here’s mine.  I found the idea for this on pinterest weeks ago and really loved the simple style but enjoyed how it could be used for any type of card.  I just used some scrap DP from my box , but it allowed me to bring out the vellum which is something that I hadn’t used in awhile.  I stamped on it for the strip and the sentiment.  I cut the flowers out with a punch and then just ran over them with a tool to make the edges curl.

I hope you enjoy it and I hope you will play along with us.
