TMS #693

Hiya! I hope you have been playing along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. We have another favorite for you. We are working with Melissa’s favorite this go round. This was one of my fave’s for the year as well.

So back in October when we introduced this challenge, this was my card.

Here’s my new one!

I pulled out my case with all my Valentine’s papers and embellishments and so I will be doing a lot with them this month. For this one, I am using a lot of pieces and papers from the Love Me Do collection from My Mind’s Eye…..go back to 2009! That’s how long it’s been sitting in my stash! Quite a different color palette from the first time I played with this sketch right! There’s a little bit of heart washi in there too.

I hope you like it, come along and play with us and as an added bonus, try and find something that you have had in your stash for quite a while and breathe some new life into it ok! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you on the blog!

A wee Valentine

So today I am playing along with the Paper Play Sketches for this week.

sketch

I have a bunch of Valentine’s stuff that I haven’t used since well last Valentine’s day so i thought I would break it out.  I used the Love Me Do collection from My Mind’s Eye from a few years ago.

I used my Cricut to cut out the Cupid Bear from Teddy Bear Parade.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.

Just for some extra texture and dimension I used some glitter paper for his little toga and stickles for his nose and the bow & arrow.

I hope you like it and you still have some time to play along with the sketch!

A Blessing

Hi Everyone!  I’m back from my annual Cuba vacation, which was perfect of course! Amazing weather and lots of fun!

Time to get busy creating again!  Our challenge this week at Use Your Stuff is to create a project using 3 different patterned papers.  It’s for challenges like this that I love co-ordinating paper from manufactures, and when they are double sided- even better!

As I was doing a monthly challenge on the Scrap Shotz site as well which was to use a themed paper for a non-themed project, I chose some Valentine’s Day papers from My Mind’s Eye.

I’ve had these papers for years and it was finally nice to get them open and used.  I chose them for a new baby layout instead!  I hope you like it and I hope you will join us on the blog and play along.
