MTCC: Sketchy Challenge

Ohhh sketchy challenges 2 days in a row! Lucky you! This one is for Make the Cards Challenge this week.

Ok, this is what I did!

This looks like the Carta Bella collection from yesterday, but I don’t think it all is. Some may be though. I love the gold accents in this one with the sentiment and heart from my stash. I also love the vellum leaves that I added in there. A dainty little card. I hope you like it.

C’mon over to the MTCC blog and play along with us. The rest of the DT have some great projects for you to check out too!

A birthday wish: Use it Tuesday Challenge #30

Yay! Tuesday!  We have a brand new challenge for you on the Use It Tuesday blog!  It’s so fun and yet hard at the same time…the fun part…USE YOUR SCRAPS…the hard part….NARROWING IT DOWN!  This was really hard for me, so I asked the girls on the DT to help me out by picking a color of scraps to work with because I just have so many…their choice was PURPLE!

And Voila!  Here is my purple card for you!

So I haven’t the foggiest clue where any of that purple DP came from.  It has been in my stash box for so long, it’s not even funny!  The image came from my image box, again, it has been sitting in there forever and was probably part of some swap that I did.  I cut the butterflies out using an old Cuttlebug diecut that I forgot I even had.  I am not even sure I’ve ever used it!  The fibres are from CTMH and I think I bought them when I first started scrapbooking several years ago.  It was my first foray into ribbon…now I’m just a ribbon whore and it has become out of control!  The sentiment is an old rub on that I found in a box.  It’s part of a bunch of birthday rub ons and I’m hoping to create more cards with them.  Bling is from my stash as are the border punch and Spellbinder.  I hope you like this one and make sure you stop by the blog and enter this week’s challenge.  Everyone has some kind of scraps.  Your card doesn’t even have to be fancy…some white space and a few pieces of patterned paper and you are done! Challenge yourself to scrap a certain color like I did, or just close your eyes and pick a piece of paper out and create around it..I’ve been known to do that too.

Entered into these challenges:

cupcake craft challenges: fairytales ( she reminds me of Tinkerbell from Peter Pan)

Paper Playtime: punches and a sentiment

whoopsie daisy challenge: things with wings

Challenges for Everybody: anything goes

the Squirrel and Fox: celebrate the occasion

LC: Sentimentally Yours

Good morning everyone! Welcome to another Monday and a new challenge on the Lollipop blog...this week my team is hosting the challenge and our challenge to you is to create a card/project with a sentiment as the focus.

We are being sponsored this week by The Stamping Boutique.  On Thursday Alanna and her team will have all the info on our new sponsor.

Here is my project for you this week…

You’ll have to forgive my poor butterfly, I didn’t notice until the last minute that her poor wing was a bit clipped!

I cut the shape out using my nestiblities.  I don’t usually do circle cards but had fun with this one.  The DP is from Basic Grey and were some scraps I had left over from another project that I did.  It’s the Green at Heart line.  I used my Stamping cartridge to cut out the butterfly and my i-rock to add the little gems.  The sentiment itself came from an old sheet of DP from Around the Block that I found in my paper drawer when I was cleaning it out over the weekend.  Amazing what you find when you clean! Yikes!  I hope you like my card for you and be sure to a)enter our challenge on the blog this week and b) stop by the other DT blogs and leave the girls some love!

Butterfly Thanks

Hello! Today is our first March challenge at Lollipop Crafts and we are being sponsored by Meljen’s Designs!

My team is hosting this week’s challenge and we have picked Clean and Simple.  Little embellishments and layers just like it says, clean and simple.

I went for a one layer card this time around.  Not something I do a lot of.  I tend to like my embellishments too much!  🙂  I used a couple of stamp sets.  I found them in my stamp box.  I don’t even know how long I’ve had them but I figured it was time to crack them open!  I just stamped them down and then I stamped the sentiment (an old Stampin Up one I use frequently).  The traced around with a black marker.  You can’t get much simpler than this.  The great thing is that it will be easy for me to mail and won’t cost me a small fortune! 🙂  I hope you like it and make sure you stop by the Lollipop blog for more inspiration and to enter this week’s challenge.

I’ve entered into the following challenges with this card:

Crafty Calendar: March Spring Clean

Stampin Sisters In Christ: Things with Wings

Do You Stack Up: Things with Wings

Flutterby Wednesday: Open challenge (must have a butterfly, fairy or or angel)

Animal Antics

Happy Friday.  If you are looking for the AIF blog hop please scroll below.

It’s a new challenge at the Poodles Parlour this week. It’s all about the Animal Antics.    Bugaboo

is our great sponsor this week and they gave us the cutest images to work with!  I made this adorable baby card for my DT inspiration this week….

After coloring the image with my copics, I inked around it while in the nestiblility.  The paper and little sentiment is from a Hot Off the Press baby 8×8 pack that I have had forever.  The buttons and the twine from my stash as was the bling.  I received the butterfly in a swap ages ago and am glad I was finally able to use it! A little bit of border punching and voila! I hope you like it.  Please stop by the Poodles Parlour blog to link up your own project for this week’s challenge and for all the details on how you can win from our great sponsor Bugaboo!

I’ve entered into the following challenges:

The Crazy Challenge :New

Many Thanks

Okay.  So here is the first card from the book.  I’ve also put in the inspiration piece, just so you can have an idea.  I’m not sure I’ll do that for every card because well then,  you’ll have the whole book….I don’t know if Papercrafts would like that, so I’ll put the odd one here and there.

So this is the card from the book

and here is my card

Blues and greens and then the butterfly has just some pinks in it, to set it off.  I am really happy with this card.  I just used paper from my stash so have no idea who it’s by.  I did paper piercing all the way around instead of stitching (I don’t have my Sew Easy yet) and the inking is Bermuda Bay by Stampin Up (which with a few other colors were in my stocking this year) , as is the stamp.  The butterfly came from a butterfly swap I did on the CanadianScrapSwapChat board.  It’s by Robin…thanks Robin:).  My ribbon came in a yahoo swap that I got last week.  I love swaps!

So that is day 1.  Yay me.  I have day 3 done, but you won’t get to see it until Monday because I used the book as inspiration for my Crazy Challenge DT card.  I really am happy with it and I hope you’ll like it too.  Later today I’ll post the Jan 2 card..as soon as I make it..LOL
