TMS #649

I’ve got today’s new challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches for you. This one is designed by Debbie~

So I have been trying to work on some old online card classes that I’ve had sitting here from Scrapbook & Cards Today – the online Crop & Create ones. They pack a lot of punch into those weekends so there are a lot of classes!

I did a Lawn Fawn one, hosted by Jenn Shurkus in the October 2021 event. We got to play with some watercoloring and some fun stamps/dies and stencils from Lawn Fawn of course. These are the Frosties collection.

Now this isn’t the exact card that we made, as I altered it for this challenge, but I really like how it turned out. All those snowflakes and swirls are part of the set we got for the class. The unicorn is a different Lawn Fawn set called Winter Unicorn which I stamped and then colored with some matching Copics. The sentiment is from Stampin Up and then I just added a few enamel dots from my stash.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog so you can play along with us! You can also stop by the SCT blog to find out more about the Online Crop & Create classes (we have another one coming up next weekend and wooweeee..you should see the product we are going to be working with!) by going here.

Thanks for stopping by

UYS #420 Spring

Hey everyone! I’m here with this week’s challenge on Use Your Stuff!

This week we are going with a Spring/Easter theme.

I was recently at my farm for some much needed R&R and manage to take a few supplies with me to create some cards. Mainly a few SCT Samplers which are perfect! Some papers and embellishments, bring along some cardstock and you could make quite a few cards!

This one I created using the March 2019 SCT Sampler with my goodies from Doodlebug, which you all know is one of my favorite companies!

Sorry the picture is a bit off….I couldn’t do a reshoot as I have sent this out to a friend to well…brighten their day 🙂

I knew I wanted to create a card using that adorable flower Doodlepop! I stamped the sentiment from a SCT delivered stamp set that we received from the card crop that we did a couple of weeks ago! It has cute rainbows and clouds and then a few sentiments to match. It was designed by Becky Moore!

I stamped it with some Stampin Up Bermuda Bay ink. I’m trying to branch out from my usual black! A few drops of the iridescent Nuevo drops.

I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the Use Your Stuff blog to play along and to check out what the rest of the DT has created for you.

Tuesday is here again folks! Here is this week’s sketch for you up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog!

I’ve got a fun card for you that I made this weekend while I was attending the Crop and Create Delivered event with Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine.

We were treated to a fun Lunch and Learn with Lea Lawson from PinkFresh Studio and got to use these gorgeous layered stencils. I’ve never used them before but they were soooo easy. No issues lining them up and the results were gorgeous each and every time. We also got that lovely HUGS die as well.

You will see that I rotated the sketch to do my card. I used some inks from both Stampin Up and Tim Holtz and the vellum is from Lawn Fawn. I added some gold foil paper from my stash and some lovely gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

I hope that you will join us in our challenge this week and if you’ve never used a layered stencil before, I highly recommend it!

Learning with Lawn Fawn

I had such a great time learning some new techniques with Jenn Shurkus and Lawn Fawn Stamps. I made my first interactive card and it was so much easier than I thought it was going to be! This Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Crop & Create Delivered Card Class has been amazing. I can’t even tell you how much I have learned after our first full day and there is still tomorrow!

We used the Coaster Critters stamp set. I’ve not really done scene cards that much before but again, Jenn made it look so easy. We also learned some great tips for copic coloring! Anything that helps improve my coloring works for me!

This little bunny on the roller coaster goes for a ride! What a fun interactive card!

I can’t wait to create some more fun with this set and get a lot more use out of the many Lawn Fawn sets I already have!

Entered into these challenges:

2 Crafter Critter Crazies: Anything Goes with a Critter

Crafts Galore: Anything Goes

Mod Squad Challenges: Springtime Bunnies

Twofer Card Challenge: Two Different designs/two different occasions/one stamp set

Stamping with CTMH

Today’s second class was with Jill Broadbent of Close To My Heart and we learned some fun new stamping techniques. This is a really pretty stamp and die set that we were gifted with! It’s very spring like isn’t it!

These cards were super easy to make but with the extra time spent in the stamping, it really sets them off!

Entered into these challenges:

Craft Rocket Challenge: Use Dies and/or Spring

Moving Along with The Times: Spring is Coming

Allsorts Challenge: Spring Flowers

Daring Cardmakers: Spring Things

Fun with Gina K

Today’s Crop & Create Cards started off with a really fun class with Gina K of Gina K Designs. We learned some really great layered stenciling, which is not something that I do very much of, but definitely want to in the future.

I also really like the HELLO die cut that we received with our kit as well. I think that Gina said that this stamp set will be released a bit later on, so be sure to watch for it in her store!

Entered into these challenges:

Challenge Up Your Life: Flowers

Try it On Tuesday: Flowers

My Time to Craft: Stencils

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers: Layers

Brighten Your Day

Cathy Z’s YouTube class tonight was using our exclusive stamp/die set with fun rainbows and clouds. I can’t believe I don’t own a rainbow set already!

My card is a bit of a variation on the one Cathy did but I love how it turned out. I again used some of the paper from the Heidi Swapp paper pack and ran it through a Darice cloud embossing folder. It was fun to cut out the pieces of the rainbow. The hearts came with the set as well which are a lovely little accent.

A Rose by any other Name

The third card today was from a lesson taught by Jen Tyron on how to color with the Spectrum Noir markers. We actually got 4 markers as a gift but I also had some of these in my stash for awhile but have never used them, so I was excited to give them a go.

Oh these blend like butter, so smooth! I love that they are 3 in one markers with your light/mid/dark shades all together. I colored in this image from a stamp that I have had forever and then went over the rose with some blue and clear wink of stella. I didn’t really want to add too much to this as I wanted the image to be the focal point.

I will be back again with some more fun cards to share!

Brighten Your Day

Virginia Nebel demonstrated a quick and easy card using some goodies that we received from Heidi Swapp and an exclusive stamp set from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine.

Our paper pad is Favorite Things and it’s got some wonderful patterns and solids in it. She taught us a great little trick to add dimension to your project by using some folded layers to pop up elements.

It gives it a great 3D look. I also loved all the layers we played with for this card. Such a great way to use up papers in the 6×6 packs, of which I have many as you know! The stamp set is adorable as well! It’s full of rainbows (another project will be coming with this set down the road) and sentiments.

Fun with Foil

One of our first cards today for the Crop and Create Delivered Card Class this weekend with Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine was this fun deco foil card using some goodies we received from Therm-O-Web. I’ve never used foil before so I was quite looking forward to it. I bought a new laminator off of Amazon to use for the foil. I am going to be trying some duo gel & stencils from Therm-O-Web later down the road but that is for another day.

My foil was called Glass Slipper. Love this color. The sentiment was just from my stash but you can see just how pretty the foil is. I will definitely be using more of it!
