I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! I know not everyone celebrates but we do here in Canada and my son was an avocado! Of course he was happy with all the candy he got but it was really cold here! There was ice and snow in some areas!

On to this month’s challenge for Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!

Another great mood board for you!

Inspired by the green and the witch, I did a fun ink smooshed background and then used my Recollections stamp and die set for the witch, sentiment and black cat. Some glittered ribbon and just a small piece of DP and a few enamel dots to finish off.

Hey everyone!  It’s family day here in Alberta.  Just spending time with the family.    Our new challenge is up at Use Your Stuff.  Our challenge is to use Hearts on your project.  This is such an easy challenge I am sure!

So in honor of our challenge and of family day here in Alberta, I created this layout of me and my brothers.  One of my brothers lives in BC so it’s hard for the 3 of us to get to get together.  Those time are few and far between.  This one was taken about 5 years ago.

I just used some scraps from my stash to create this.    The wooden hearts, flower and the wooden butterflies I covered over with my smooch spritz.  The flowers, button and the Love die cut were also from my stash.  I also added some bling for a bit of sparkle.

Just a simple layout today but I hope you like it.  Blue and pink for boys and a girl 🙂

Holiday Party

I am so excited to bring my first hosted challenge for Use Your Stuff! My challenge this week is SNOW!  We want to see anything having to do with snow on your projects, snowflakes, snowmen, snowfall, winter fun, etc.

For my project I did a layout of a picture of my DH and I during one of his company Christmas parties.

The DP is from Echo Park (this and that) and Fancy Pants (Home for Christmas).  I added in a few embellishments from My Mind’s Eye as well as Bo Bunny.  I added in some wooden snowflakes that I had.  Some I painted white and added some shimmery spritz, and some I just left blank.  My little tree I added some glossy accents to as well.

Hi Everyone! Another quick post today for our challenge at Creative Corner Challenges.

It’s been so busy with work and my son ill again (an infection in his finger this time and some visits to the doctor and chiropracter to help with a gait issue) that it’s amazing I’ve had time to craft this week!

Our challenge is Clean and Simple also known as CAS.  This is a challenge to use less and less embellishments and papers on your project.  The least amount the better.  This is always a challenge for me because I love to embellish.  However, I am thrilled with how this card turned out.  I used a sketch in the March/April issue of Papercrafts magazine  and its just a fabulous one.

 

I just used a couple of scraps of paper in my basket and the butterflies were sent to me in a swap.  They were regular corrugated cardboard and I misted them with my smooch spritzes!  The pearls are from my stash and the sentiment is K Andrew Designs

Keep Calm & Sparkle!

Morning all.  Survived another Monday and I’m one day closer to Cuba..woohoo.

Well we are back to work at the Use it Tuesday blog and we have a new challenge for you.  We want you to sparkle and shine.  Show us your projects with sparkle..so it could be bling, gems, pearls, stickles, glitter, anything that stands shiny! 🙂

Here’s my project for you today.  It’s a wedding card with a matching envelope.  I went to town with my smooch spritz on this one.  The Mr. & Mrs. is cut with my Sweethearts cricut cartridge (I believe) and the pearls are from my stash.  I actually cut it in half because I have a love/mostly hate relationship with these big blingy things..they never work for me.

Kitty Kiddles

Well, today is my son’s preschool orientation!  I can’t believe he’s in preschool already.  Seems like yesterday that he was just a baby in my arms.  Doesn’t every mom say that at one point or another??LOL

Well fall is around the corner and you know that means Hallowe’en will soon be here.  My little guy is going as a pirate this year! 🙂  You need to hop over to the Digital Delights blog and check out the most adorable new halloween digi’s that Wendy has created! Oh they are so darn cute!  Today I am using Kitty Kiddles.  

She comes in a black and white as well as a colored image.  I also used the new Ghoulish sentiment set for this as well.

It’s a little hard to read but it says I may be Cute but I still Bite 🙂

The DP is just some scraps I had left from KI Memories.  The ribbon was in my stash and was in a swap I did last year.  The spiders are from the $$ store.  Aren’t they fun??  I did some distressing on this and added some smooch spritz in Gingersnap as well.  The image I colored with my copics.  Just a fun little card.  Make sure you visit the blog and see what the rest of the DT have for you to celebrate this fun  new release!

Christmas time in the city…

It’s such a snowy day here in Calgary today.  Definitely home bound.  I am working on days 2-4 of my Tim Tags which I will be uploading later.

In the meantime……

So CARDS magazine (Northridge Publishing) is having a challenge to make Christmas Cards this week. Last week the challenge was non-traditional colors, so I thought I would just continue on.. I love this. I do this all the time so I want to share a few I created.

This one I did for my stampin up card class.  The stamp is Winter Wilma and I have had it forever! Did a lot of misting with this one…(I’m all about the misting these days)

Here is mine this week!

We used Karen’s image (isn’t this cute) and the DP was sent in a swap.  I did a little border punching and after I cut out the focal image with my spellbinders I popped it with some spritz smooch and pop dots! I colored with my copics, added a bit of ribbon, some spooky spiders and a few brads for just a pop of color.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along!

Good Morning!  I feel like I have been up FOREVER! My little guy is sick so he had a rough nite and I am not even sure how much sleep I’ve had….

I used some DP that I received in a swap from the PaperCraftPlanet Anything Goes group.  My partner sent me some awesome stuff!  I added a bit of baker’s twine from Whisker Graphics. I colored the image with my copics and then I spritzed it with some Smooch spritz in Cashmere, Candleglow and Ice Rink.  I am really loving my smooches right now!  I sewed the button right onto the card and the sentiment is from some vellum stickers I have had forever!
