TMS #658

Need a sketch to jumpstart? Well head on over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and see this week’s challenge sketch and the great inspiration that the Design Team has sorted out for you!

I really like this one! I went a bit crazy with some layers for this one. I challenged myself to just use whatever was in arm’s reach of my desk, so I used a lot of stuff from my stash box for this card.

You know I love the layers so I used an embossing folder for my green layer and then went to down with some doily and flowers that I cut in half. I also have a layered sentiment die and then some gemstones, stickers and twine to finish it off.

How will you interpret this sketch? Come by the blog and show us!

And we are off and running with this week’s sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches .

Of course the DT has created some awesome pieces for you to be inspired by. Here is mine for you!

As I am slowing making my way through my old SCT samplers I used the August 2018 one for this card. Using the My Bright Life Collection by Pebbles. I also added in a pink doily from my stash as well as some black twine and some enamel dots also from my stash. This is a great sketch to do an anything kind of card.

Be sure to stop by the blog and show us what you created with this week’s sketch!

Thank you Teacher

Well, today is Riley’s last day of Grade 3.  I can’t believe it!  He’s just getting so big!  I know all moms say that, probably because it’s true!

Here is the card that I made for his teacher gift, inspired by Pinterest!

The DP is a sheet from my box that I’ve had forever.  I cut out an image using my cricut and some scraps.  The sentiment is stamped from a Paper Smooches stamp set.  I just added half a doily because I just didn’t quite like the way the die cut sat against the DP.

Enjoy!

Holidays in Red

It’s February!  I love February mainly because it is my birthday month!

Here is a quick little card for our Christmas Crafts All Year Round challenge for the month.  Our theme is RED.  Your project should show red as the predominant color.

All the elements for this card are just from my Christmas stash.  I used a project life card as the focal point and then just built around that using some DP, twine, a red doily and some bling.  Nothing fancy but definitely screams RED!  I hope you like it and please play along with us this month and show us your red creations!

KBD- Spotlight

Happy Sunday everyone!  We are well in January now and I hope that it is starting off great for you.

It’s my spotlight day on the Kitty Bee Designs blog, and I decided to make a fun Valentine’s day card with the cute Sushi Buddies, which can be found in the store here.

I used the papers from a couple of DP’s I got last year in a swap – Pebbles My Funny Valentine and also My American Crafts xoxo.  I also pulled out a fun heart doily from my stash.

I colored the images with my copics, and the sentiment I just printed out on my computer.  I also added a simple heart brad and few small gems to finish it off.  I hope you like it!  Don’t forget to stop by the Kitty Bee blog to play along in our current challenge.

Let’s Play BINGO

Hello all!

I am hosting this week’s challenge at Use Your Stuff and we are playing BINGO!  I’ve created a fun bingo card to use on your project (a great way to get the MOJO going as well if you are stuck!).  Here’s the card , there are lots of fun items to play with.

Here is the card I created using the horizontal line of red, die cuts/cut aparts, hearts and doily

The DP is from American Crafts XOXO collection. The doily, die cuts and white foam heart are from recollections and the glittered hearts I cut using some Recollections glitter paper and my little $$ store heart punch.  I hope you like it and hop on over to the blog to play along and to see what the rest of the DT has created for you!

Reindeer

I have another card for you! I know 2 in one day! Whew!  Tuesday Morning Sketches is another place I love to draw inspiration from and they have a great sketch for this week.

TMS #322

I am still playing with the mounds of product hanging out on my desk so I created another card using the Jovial line from Basic Grey.  I also had an old Tim Holtz stamp that I haven’t used in awhile that went well with the DP I used for this card.

I’ve got a lot of those little doilies on my desk so it was great to pull one out and it went great with this line.  I love the teal!  I used the new Mermaid Lagoon ink for the stamp as well as the Expresso.  Some little brads to finish it off.  I am happy to say as well that I finally used up the entire Jovial card kit that I had…success!!! 🙂

Please stop by Tuesday morning sketches to play along!

Simplicity

A simple card.  That is what I have for you today to go with our new challenge at Use Your Stuff this week.  Our theme is ‘DOILY’.  Incorporate a doily somewhere on your project, it can be an actual doily, a stencil, a stamp etc.  I have only 1 doily stamp and I really do love it because it is so versatile.  I needed to make a simple nondescript card that I could write a quick note in and mail off to a friend, so it also cannot be too bulky to mail.

I decided to do a bit of resist embossing.  Simple but some nice texture.  I stamped the image in my Versamark and then went over it with white embossing powder.  I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in peeled paint and shabby shutters.  To finish it off I just added some ribbon and a couple of flowers.

We hope you will play along with us this week on the blog and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

BFF’s

Hello everyone! Welcome to my crazy life.  Sorry I’ve not posted for a little bit.  I’ve been crafting but not had a chance to upload anything for you.  I hope to take care of that this week, as my schedule winds down a bit. 🙂  I’ve been working on some ATC’s for a swap that I am excited to share with you.

Now onto this week’s challenge for Use It Tuesday….it’s all about Friends!  We want to see your friendship creations..it can be about friendship, it can be of your friends, whatever that means to you.

I have a layout to share with you of me and my BFF Kathy…this was taken 2 yrs ago when we attended the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival put on by Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.  A 2 day crop that is just the most fun.  Lots of sponsors, lots of prizes and most importantly, LOTS OF FUN…as you can see, we love to ham it up!   (My lighting is bad, but the sign says We heart Canadian Scrapbooker) The DP I have had for awhile and it is called Poppy from SEI as are the coordinating embellishments including die cuts, pearls, gemstones and stickers.  The flowers are coordinating from my stash.

I hope you like it.  Please stop by the blog as the DT has some great projects (as always 🙂 ) for you to see.546950_10151847091575412_1609912549_n
