TMS # 646

So ya. I’m behind. By like two days. That’s how long our sketch has already been up on the blog at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I don’t know how I missed this week! Ugh! Better late than never right!

This is one of the easiest sketches you are going to come across to use. You can make it as minimal or as detailed as you want. Perfect for leftover scraps of some embossed cardstock. Don’t want to use a circle? Try a star or an oval or really whatever shape you fancy.

This probably the last card that you are going to see with the July 2020 SCT Sampler because I am all done with it! I love this card. I think it turned out really well. I paired this with a sentiment stamp set from Hero Arts called Cheeky Birthday.

Come on over to the blog, you still have time to create with us!

A fun father’s day card

Happy Wednesday all! Halfway through the week! Woo hoo!  Head on over to Penny’s Paper Crafty today and you will see our new challenge QUICK AND EASY! (my favorite kinda card)

Our sponsor this week is new to me, but I just love!  It’s Dr. Digi’s

Our winner this week is going to get 2 free digis of choice!  I was excited to work with this image because IT IS PRECOLORED!  My coloring skills are sadly lacking so any time I can get the change to use a precolored digi, I am all over it!  This week I am using Weekend Walter!

There are also b&w digis as well if that is your preference!  So much to choose from.

Here’s my card!

The DP is Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I added three metal brads and this card was done and super quick and easy!

Your turn! Have some fun creating and make sure you show it to us by linking up on the blog!

A simple card.  That is what I have for you today to go with our new challenge at Use Your Stuff this week.  Our theme is ‘DOILY’.  Incorporate a doily somewhere on your project, it can be an actual doily, a stencil, a stamp etc.  I have only 1 doily stamp and I really do love it because it is so versatile.  I needed to make a simple nondescript card that I could write a quick note in and mail off to a friend, so it also cannot be too bulky to mail.

I decided to do a bit of resist embossing.  Simple but some nice texture.  I stamped the image in my Versamark and then went over it with white embossing powder.  I added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in peeled paint and shabby shutters.  To finish it off I just added some ribbon and a couple of flowers.

We hope you will play along with us this week on the blog and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

To Paris with Love

It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.  We have a lot to be thankful for.  At least I know I do and I am looking forward to some yummy dinners with family and friends.

Today our challenge for you at Creative Corner Challenges is to create a project that is not a card.  It could be a layout, an ATC, a bookmark, altered project, the ideas are limitless.

Lately, thanks to, I have been making a lot of ATC’s and altered envelopes (or Mail Art as the group calls them).  Today I am sharing a mail art with the theme of Paris/French.

I created this envelope with my envelope maker first of all.  It’s 5×7.  I then stamped some french script from hero arts all over the inside and out.  I then had some other french stamps from Inque Boutique that I used to stamp on it and then went through my stash looing for anything with a french feel to it.  I found some die cuts, some France stamps and some swirls.  You can’t see it, but on the back is a big postcard of Paris 🙂  I have been to Paris and absolutely love it.  I hope to go back again one day.

I hope you will stop by the blog to see what the rest of my team has created and also to play along with us.

Up Up and Away

Hello all!

A little chilly here in Calgary this morning.  Fall is definitely here.  **sigh** that means a long winter is just around the corner.  Until it gets here I still want to think of warm weather and sunny days.

Our challenge for you this week at Use It Tuesday is one I just love.  Odds, Ends, Scraps & Pieces.  It’s time to clear off those little bits and bobs off of your scrap desk!  We all have them, those little left over bits after we create other projects, my desk is full of them for sure!

So I created this fun birthday card which I just love!

The blue piece is one of the few card starbursts I had left..I have had those forever!  The stars were just hanging around on my desk from other projects. The stamp set that I used for the balloon is the What’s Up colllection from Hero Arts.  I’ve had it for awhile but never cracked it open.  I really like this image and will probably create more with it.  The paper banners were just some scraps.  I did a little bit of embossing and added some glossy accents to the colored balloons.   The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up.

I hope you like it and please stop by the blog to see the other DT inspirations and to play along with us this week.

Winter Fun

I have a cute card for you this week for the Penny’s PaperCrafty challenge.  It is an Anything Goes challenge this time around and we have lots of great prizes.  Make sure you stop by the blog to link up and check out the fabulous DT inspiration this week.

This week I am highlight a fabulous colored image from the Paper Shelter.  I just think he is so cute and I love that he his precolored.  I just used some DCWV Christmas paper that I had.  I added the sentiment from Hero Arts.  The bling, and ribbon are from my stash and add just a pop of color.  I’m loving the pink and teal together.

I really like the spellbinder that cut this one out.   Enjoy!

And for something totally different

So for one of the challenges on AiFactory, it’s something other than a card.  Ya..ermm okay.  I don’t do a lot of that…so it was nice to get out of my box…I decided on this bookmark.  I know it’s a little big but I still like it and plan to use it.  The supply list is under the pic.  I used a paint chip and then stamped it with a hero arts long stem stamp, die cut the words and the butterflies and added a little bling to them.  The ribbon is attached to a metal clip I found in my stash and then attached to the two tags.  Lemme know what you think.  The ducky image is colored with Copics.

Cuttlebug Challenge

for the next two weeks is glitter at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot.  I ran some light blue bazill cardstock through the Snowflake folder and then just added a strip of Christmas paper I found in my stash (I’ve really been trying to use up my stash lately).  I used my Snowman Slopes woodstamp which was inked in Stampin Up Real Red onto some white cardstock which was then mounted onto some red cardstock, which was in turn mounted onto some gold cardstock which was run through the spots and dots folder.  I added some glitter to the snowman image using some Stickles, tied it with some dotted ribbon from Michaels and added some snowflakes from my stash.
