MTCC #65

It’s getting spooky on the Make the Cards Challenge blog today! Our new theme is up, and you guessed it —HALLOWEEN is what we are going with!

I was just using some bits and pieces from my Halloween box for this one. I knew I wanted to use that NEVERMORE tag as my focal point. So I just started grabbing bits and bobs that I thought would layer well for work with the card. I really like how this turned out!

The DT has put together some really great projects for you to see on the blog. They know how to do spooky right!

Stop by and play along with us…we can’t wait to see your spooky or cute projects

Dragonfly Dreams: September

Yep. It’s here. September. Soon to be Autumn. Soon to be Pumpkin Spice Season. **sigh** I am not ready to let go of summer yet.

Our newest challenge is up at Dragonfly Dreams and our theme is Birthday!

We have a new sponsor with us for this one. A lovely designer out of the UK named Lauren Waterworth. I am using a stamp called Birthday Cupcake from her shop on craftsuprint.com

I’m not sure why I went with a Halloween theme for this card. I just had this idea in my head to do Halloween cupcakes!

I printed off three of the cupcakes and colored them with my copics. I then added some stickles & Nuevo Drop to look like sprinkles. I decided to go with a slimline so that I could have enough room for all 3 of my cupcakes. I think that this is an older Echo Park line. I added just a bit of black glimmer paper in behind and of course some enamel dots. I just printed the sentiment off on my computer and I still felt it needed something to give it more of that Halloween theme, so I went with some little silver spiderwebs.

Head on over to the blog…the Design Team has some really great projects for you to check out! Be sure to play along with us this month too!

CCC: May

Hello All! We are enjoying some awesome sunshine here in Calgary after bits and bobs of snow scattered over the last couple of weeks so it’s hard to think about Christmas cards, but our new challenge is up at Christmas Craft Creations! Our theme is to use 2 colors…neutrals are ok, but there should be primarily 2 colors as your focus!

I didn’t want to go digging for all of my Christmas stuff for this card so I challenged myself to find some that was within arms reach of my desk and drawers. Luckily I had a bunch of Christmas product in a drawer and so I created this cute layered card.

I’m not sure where the paper is from but the sentiment is from Echo Park. I added some sequins from Studio Katia as well as some Nuevo Drops. I used a fun layer die for a bit of added interest.

Come on over to the blog to see the DT creations for this challenge to inspire you and then link up your creations!

See you there!

October folks. It’s loud and proud and showing us that the final 3rd of the year is here! Yikes!

This is the sketch that we are working with this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I just felt like doing a Halloween card, even though I don’t really send them out that much!

The stamp is from Stampin Up and the paper is Echo Park. I did a little ink blending so that white wasn’t so stark.

Head on over to the blog and see the great DT projects for this week’s sketch!

2 Crafty Critters

Challenge # 53 is up over on the 2 Crafty Critters blog and this month we are being sponsored by Sheepski Designs!

Something a bit different this month.  We’re partnering with Double Troubleand here’s a bit about their theme which runs from August 1 through August 19.Challenge #90

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker – says, “Cleo, my purr-ty furbaby, is excited that August 8th is International Cat Day.  She’s “feline” that purr-haps it’s time for us to do something claw-some.  Cleo wants to celebrate all of her fur-ends by creating a project that includes any baby animal, e.g. kitten, puppy, chick, elephant.  She thinks this challenge is a paw-sibility, it’s purr-fect and will be pun for all.”
You can paws here… OR … use Twisted Sister’s optional twist for an additional chance to our random draw.

Thing 2:  Double Trouble
says, “Is this fur real? Let’s paws… I think I need a cat-titude adjustment. As long as mew have included a cute or baby animal, do not fur-get to enter your project HERE at 2CraftyCritterCrazies. I’m sure they will also like to see your claw-some projects.”  Don’t paws here but,  check out Cleo’s ‘Mew and Your Paw-some Pet” additional Special Random Draw located after the Design Team’s inspirational projects.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister says, “Paw-don me, are you kitten me?  This is hiss-terical!  I am purr-ple with laughter.   Let’s see if mew  can come up with a pun for your baby animal or feel free to use one of ours.  Have some pun with this optional twist.
And you’re already entering at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies so pop on over to Double Trouble and enter their challenge, too.  If it fits ours, it will fit their theme!  😀

I’m using the SheepSki Designs Image ” Dragons Fly”. I thought it would be fun because I don’t have any dragons!

Ya, you’re not seeing things. That’s some Echo Park and Doodlebug in there. Just when you thought it was gone! I colored the image with my copics and then cut them out and popped them up . I also added some Nuevo drops and some random word stickers I had.

Come play along with us this month. You have until August 25th to enter!

UYS #427 Summer Fun

Hello one and all! Summer is in full swing right now and so is our new challenge at Use Your Stuff...our theme is Summer Fun!! Create a project that screams summer fun to you!

I created this fun card to celebrate a Summer birthday!~

I love pairing the Echo Park plaids and the Doodlebug stickers together as you can see and I also used a fun new die from Craft Addicts for all the squares. I replaced some of the missing black ones with the plaid paper to add some color.

So be sure to head to the blog and play along with us for our challenge!

Happy Tuesday Friends! Are you ready for this week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches?

You can do a lot with this one!

I had some of these cute little Lawn Fawn squirrels left over from another project so I definitely wanted to use them on this one. The paper is from Echo Park as are the enamel dots and the sentiment is just from my stash. I hope you like it!

Swing by the blog to see the rest of the projects, leave some love and play along with us! See you there!

Hello you! Hope you are enjoying sunshine where you are. We are finally getting some really nice weather here in Calgary! It’s going to be pretty warm this week.

I’m sharing the new sketch up at the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog with you today.

So again using a lot of scraps from my box I created this fun card for you!

I ran with the sketch a little bit and added a cute little cow to go with my sentiment (which are from Sunny Studio). I went with a teal coloring with the copics just to give her a little bit more color to stand out and then just added a few enamel dots from Echo Park. Come by the blog and leave some love for the rest of the DT and do play along with our challenge! See you there!

New DT!

Hey everyone! I’m really excited to be a new designer for the ‘There’s a Stamp for That’ Design Team! TASFT can be found on facebook and each month we have a fun challenge with 3 different aspects that you can add to your project.

I’m really excited to bring you my inspiration piece for this month’s challenge! You get a few different themes to choose from for challenge #23 (Frogs, Paper Piecing or Freshly Made Sketches #458–used with permission. ) I decided to go with the frogs, because well why not! Some of the frog stamps out there are adorable as I’m sure you have already seen so far!

My stamp is one of the free ones that you sometimes get when you buy the magazines from the UK or Australia! It came with a fun stamp set, a stencil and a die! I love this little guy. I paired him with some Doodlebug and Echo Park papers and some twine from my stash. I colored him with copics and added a little white gelly pen for some added interest. A few enamel dots and voila! good to go!

Head on over to Facebook, join the group and play along in our challenges! We can’t wait to see what inspires you!

Hello and welcome to March! Can you believe it’s here already! Have you been to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog yet? Our new challenge is up!

I went into some fall colors for this challenge. I love my Echo Park Celebrate Autumn papers and that’s what I used for this one.

I added in some leaves from my stash as is the sentiment. The die cut is from I believe Simple Stories. A simple card but if you head over to the blog, you can see all the great ways the DT has interpreted this week’s sketch and you can play along with us!

See you there!
