Our new challenge is up at Brown Sugar Designs this week.  It’s an anything goes challenge and our great sponsor this week is

I have a feeling your prize is going to have to do with getting some free images from this really great store, but you will need to stop by the blog to know for sure and to play along!

For this week’s challenge I created a tag.  I had a specific tag in mind…I am in a swap on Splitcoaststampers and it is a ‘color wheel’ swap, so my partner wanted items in a certain palette….in this case coral/grey/red/yellow/green.   So I thought it would be fun to make a tag to go with her goodies that I bought using those colors!  The image is called Scrapbooking Christine and I tried to color her in the palette colors with my copics.  I also added a few little embellishment and then colored a wood tag that I had and stamped a little FOR YOU on it.  For a finishing touch, I added some twine, a little doily on the bottom and then went over everything with a Wink of Stella clear pen.  Just for a touch of shimmer…I hope she likes it!

Beautiful Boy

It’s our first post with our new DT at Use Your Stuff this week!  We are so excited to feature some of our new designers.  I am hosting the challenge this week.  Inspired by a Song.

For my challenge I chose Beautiful Boy by John Lennon.  I am a proud mama.  I love my little guy to death so it’s no wonder that a lot of my layouts feature him.

This layout I used a new technique that was featured on the Cardmaker blog.  A starburst.  It was super easy to do and I thought it turned out really well on my layout.  The DP is from October Afternoon.   The ribbon and wood veneer as well as the thickers are all from my stash.

Hello, hello hello! Monday already?  Challenge day at Use Your Stuff, but you knew that right?? 🙂

Back to school is in full swing now and so that is this week’s Challenge!  We want to see some of your wonderful BTS creations.

I am happy to be getting back into layouts again.  I had forgotten how much I missed doing them.  My project this week is a layout using a Sketch from Creative Scrappers.  I have one of her AWESOME sketchbooks (Volume 1)  that I got a couple of years ago and is my go to, when I need to get started.  The sketches on her site are fabulous and such a variety!

 

Everything is from my stash…..The DP is from October Afternoon & Fancy Pants.  I also used a bunch of bits and bobs from my stash and the wooden stars I just inked up with some ink for color.  The crayon diecut is from Simply Charmed.  The lettering is thickers.  I hope you enjoy it and play along with us at UYS this week.

Monster Jam fun

So last year we took Riley to his first Monster Jam..oh did that boy have fun! He was in monster truck heaven.  He brought his Gravedigger monster truck to be signed by the drivers, which looked soooo small compared to the real Gravedigger 🙂

I thought I would use some of those pictures for a fun layout for Renee’s chipboard/wood veneer challenge at Use Your Stuff this week.  I’m sure we all have tonz of these in our stashes, I know I do!  I just can’t get enough of them actually.  So make sure you play along with us for this week’s challenge!
