TMS #625

Hello all! Here we go with our last sketch of September 2021, over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

I was in my die box and looking for one die when I came across this Spellbinders Build a Wreath die that I think I may have used 1 time several years ago and so I really wanted to give it another shot!

I just diecut the leaves out of a bunch of autumn colors and then just started building it up. Some I popped up using dimensionals and then added a few little enamel dots around. The grateful sentiment is from I think Scrapbook.com I believe the background paper is from Doodlebug and then I went over it with some ground espresso distress ink and distressed the edges.

C’mon over to the blog and join in this fun sketch with us!

SCT Sampler March 2018

Ya so. I am so far behind in my Samplers, I took a year off and then well, I missed them so I started up again. Slowly I am trying to go through my old stock.

Here are a couple cards that I made using some of the My Mind’s Eye Good Vibes collection. This was a bit of a challenge for me, I’m not sure if it was the icons or the colors but I wasn’t sure what to create.

Gina K recently did a FB live using the August 2020 sampler and then some of her new Master Layout dies and so I took my inspiration from that. Here’s a link to her dies! I think you have to join the SCT Sampler FB page to see the actual video.

I used some of the DP and one of my die sets (sorry I can’t remember which one it was) then I backed the die cut with some black and popped it up. The sentiment is actually from Taylored Expressions I believe. The sequins are from my stash.

Then there is this one

Again using that same die set, I cut out some of the DP paper and just backed it on the black cardstock. The focal is a 3×4 card that came with it and I added a stamped sentiment from Mama Elephant that I have been wanting to use for while. I just added a few enamel dots to finish it off.

I hope you like these! If you are interested in purchasing your own SCT Sampler subscription from Scrapbook & Cards Today, you can find all the information here:

Honestly, this is a great way to get a snippet of all the up and coming new product on the market to see if it is something that you want to buy more of. There’s always always such fun things like stamp sets, dies, etc…it’s always a fun surprise every month! Just as an example in this particular sampler, besides all the really great paper, there was also a Lawn Fawn die set, a die From Spellbinders and some Sticky Dots from Therm O Web, tags from American Crafts and some great cardstock from My Colors Cardstock! Crazy right!

Bugaboo Birthday

Happy Wednesday Bloggers!  I hope you are all well.  I’ve had a sick household over this last week, which was kinda blech, as it was our long weekend and the official kickoff to camping season.

I haven’t done a lot of scrapping this weekend but I do have a cute card for you today!  It’s a new challenge week over at Penny’s and we have 2 fabulous sponsors for this week:

who is giving a luck winner 4 free images of choice

 and

who is offering a lucky winner a $12 gift certificate to their store!

Both companies have amazing digitals to use you can’t go wrong with either one!

This week I am using a digital stamp from Bugaboo!

This is a fabulous birthday cake stamp is handy to use for a quick birthday card and just some scraps from your basket.  This week I am pairing my anything goes theme at Penny’s with the Mojo Monday sketch.  Again, a really great sketch that you can use with scraps and just knock out a quick and fun card!

I just used some pieces from my scrap bucket (I even found some teal burlap in there to match my paper).  I colored the image just using my Sharpies this week and I added some stickles to every other layer, to bring in the sparkle from the chevron multi colored paper.  I also used my spellbinders to die cut.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to check out the blog for the other great projects from the DT and to play along with our anything goes challenge (it couldn’t be easier!).

Double Easel

So I went to my Stampin UP card class on Tuesday and Susan had this great double easel card that we made.  I just love learning new fancy folds and techniques.  Totally fun!  Here is one that I created for the Stuck On U Sketches challenge this month.  It’s all about the key to your heart, so keys, locks and hearts!

The Happy Couple

Hi Everyone!  Tammy here and I am really excited to be a part of the Sunsational Stamps team and to bring you my first project as a DT member.  I saw the Bluebird of Happiness on the Scrapping with Lisa site and thought it would make such a cute wedding card.  Soon it will be the season for those pretty weddings, and it’s always great to have cards on hand.

The DP is from October Afternoon, and unfortunately I can’t remember the line it is.  I used my Spellbinders dies to cut out the scalloped and regular squares.  The image is colored with my copics and then I went over just a few areas with my Wink of Stella clear marker to give it a bit of sparkle.  (It doesn’t seem to show well in the photo though).  The sentiment is from Stampin Up (Labels of Love) and the little sparkly hearts are just from my stash.  I hope you enjoy this card and don’t forget to stop by the store and see what inspires your next project!

Child’s Play

Ahh another Friday and the long weekend for us in Canada.  The last long weekend of the summer **sigh**.  My son goes back to preschool on the 9th….he’s so excited.

Speaking of kids….our challenge for you this week at Creative Corner Challenges is called CHILD’S PLAY.  We would like to see creations about children, for children, images of children, however you wish to interpret it, and this week, we are being sponsored by Crafty Sentiments!!

Here is my card using their cute little Blitz.  I think she’s adorable

HPIM1239

The DP is from Echo Park and the sentiment is from one of the very first stamp sets I owned and no longer remember who makes it…LOL.  I added some little pearl flowers that I got in a swap recently.  I colored Blitz with my copics and cut her out and matted her with some spellbinders.  I hope you enjoy it and please stop by the blog to see the other DT projects this week and to play along with us!

It’s a Boy

Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend, even if I don’t really have anything planned.

Just sharing with you our new challenge at Creative Corner Challenges this week.  Our last one for February hosted by Tina.  Next month I will be hosting the challenges and offering some great weekly prizes so make sure you check in each week.

A super easy challenge this week, we just want to see some designer paper on your project.  It can be old, new, one or two.  Head over to the blog to link up and to see what the DT has for you this week.

Here is mine for you this week, a cute little baby card.

DP

Since I am on a buying freeze right now, everything on this card is from my stash.  The paper is sooo old.  It is from Hot off The Press’s 8×8 baby kit.  The image was from a swap I did ages ago and the sentiment sticker I’ve had for ages.  It was fun to make a 5×5 card this time instead of my usual 4.25×5.5.  I hope you like it.

Here is the fun card I created for you this week.

I just thought these spiders were so cute and you can find them here~  The DP are just some scraps that I had from other Halloween projects and I cut out the spiders with my spellbinders and then inked them with the Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves ink.  The DP I inked with some Rusty Hinge.  The letters are from my stash as is the little star.  I hope you like it and don’t forget to stop by the blog and check out the other inspiration pieces for you this week and to enter this fun new challenge.

I am off to the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival for Friday and Saturday for 2 days of fun cropping and I will have all the great details and maybe even some pictures on Sunday! See you then!

A birthday wish: Use it Tuesday Challenge #30

Yay! Tuesday!  We have a brand new challenge for you on the Use It Tuesday blog!  It’s so fun and yet hard at the same time…the fun part…USE YOUR SCRAPS…the hard part….NARROWING IT DOWN!  This was really hard for me, so I asked the girls on the DT to help me out by picking a color of scraps to work with because I just have so many…their choice was PURPLE!

And Voila!  Here is my purple card for you!

So I haven’t the foggiest clue where any of that purple DP came from.  It has been in my stash box for so long, it’s not even funny!  The image came from my image box, again, it has been sitting in there forever and was probably part of some swap that I did.  I cut the butterflies out using an old Cuttlebug diecut that I forgot I even had.  I am not even sure I’ve ever used it!  The fibres are from CTMH and I think I bought them when I first started scrapbooking several years ago.  It was my first foray into ribbon…now I’m just a ribbon whore and it has become out of control!  The sentiment is an old rub on that I found in a box.  It’s part of a bunch of birthday rub ons and I’m hoping to create more cards with them.  Bling is from my stash as are the border punch and Spellbinder.  I hope you like this one and make sure you stop by the blog and enter this week’s challenge.  Everyone has some kind of scraps.  Your card doesn’t even have to be fancy…some white space and a few pieces of patterned paper and you are done! Challenge yourself to scrap a certain color like I did, or just close your eyes and pick a piece of paper out and create around it..I’ve been known to do that too.

Entered into these challenges:

cupcake craft challenges: fairytales ( she reminds me of Tinkerbell from Peter Pan)

Paper Playtime: punches and a sentiment

whoopsie daisy challenge: things with wings

Challenges for Everybody: anything goes

the Squirrel and Fox: celebrate the occasion
