TMS #669

So I wanted to share this card with you from last week’s sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. You can’t link up as our new sketch comes out tomorrow but I really like how this one turned out.

I was at my farm in Saskatchewan when I did my card for this, and I only took a few supplies….a tin of die cuts, a few 6×6 paper packs, a couple of SCT samplers, some inks, copics and a few stamps. The only thing was, I couldn’t upload to my blog from my phone. I had to email my projects in and then the team lead would post to the challenge blog. Unfortunately I couldn’t get mine to show up. So I figured now may as well work right?

That envelope through me off at first. I didn’t have any with me so I decided just to draw one free hand. Now if you decide to use this sketch for something, remember you could use any shape there really, or a tag!

I used one of my samplers for this DP and then added these flowers that you’ve seen me use quite a few times from my tin. I also added a small sentiment and some gold hearts. The envelope I just cut free hand from some pink cardstock. I think these were PinkFresh flowers and there are just so many and I’ve used them for so many projects and I still have some, so be prepared for them to show up again! 😉

Well, if you have been over to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog, then you know this week’s new sketch is up!

I was playing around with some PinkFresh flower die cuts for my card!

The DP is just from my stash and the sentiment is a new one from my card class a couple of weeks ago! It’s also from PinkFresh and is from the Simplest Gestures stamp set. A little twine and some enamel dots from Your Next Stamp finish off this card!

The DT has some really great projects this week to highlight this sketch (don’t they always though!). I hope you will stop by and give them some love!

Welcome to my blog today everyone! I’m here with this week’s new sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Another great one with some layers and easy to play with.

I’m playing with some sampler pieces for this card today, and mixed it with my Pinkfresh HUGS die…this is a sweet little die!

Make sure you head on over to the blog to see the other great projects from the DT. It’s always so fun to see how this one sketch can be interpreted by different people! What will you create with it?

Hellooooo! New day new challenge for Tuesday Morning Sketches! Here’s the sketch!

Now for my card, I played a bit with this sketch, which is ok! a sketch is kind of a starting off point and it doesn’t always have to be exact.

So let’s take a look at my card!

So the first thing that you will notice is that I rotated the sketch so that it is horizontal instead of vertical. I also spread out the diamonds a bit so that I had a bit more room for my images since they were a bit bigger.

I hope this inspires you and I hope that you will play along with us on the blog. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Thanks for Being You

Welcome to my blog amidst all this isolation.  Expect to see a lot more from me.   I’ve been actually scrapping a lot during this quarantine, however, it’s mostly cards to send out to anyone that wants one!  Everyone needs a pick me up sometimes and a little happy mail can make a big difference to people.  I’ve sent out almost 100 cards in the last 3 weeks and I’m happy to do it.

I’ve had a few people ask me to send cards to their family members or friends that are nurses..so I’ve made some like this one.  Goodness knows they deserve it and they have my utmost respect and gratitude for all they do!

I also made this card with the Festive Friday Challenge in mind. They have an Inspo List and you need to pick 3 items off the list for your project.

I chose the red, medical imagery and appreciation sentiment.   I really like how this turned out.  The DP is from my stash and Doodlebug, the enamel dots are PinkFresh.  The image is just from the internet and the sentiment strip is Jillybean Soup.

I challenge you to send a card to a friend or loved one this week.  With most of us under quarantine, it’s a thoughtful gesture and you never know how much it could brighten someone’s day.
