MTCC #61

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been absent. I have been at the farm and as you know, limited internet and it’s hard to upload using my phone. I’m back now and raring to go with some new projects for you.

Here is our latest challenge at the Make the Cards Challenge Blog. It’s a color challenge for you and I really like this color combo!

I took a few bits and bobs to the farm to scrapbook with, but I’ll admit, I didn’t actually do a lot. I mostly read…LOL

I did make this card while I was there, though. I have a big tin with a bunch of die cuts in it, and found these flowers which had the right colors. I also took a bunch of pre-embossed sheets and so this one with leaves fit perfect. I always have some sentiments on hand in various colors because you just never know when you will need one! I also decided to go with a 4.5 x4.5 sized card, just to shake it up, again being inspired by the shape of that color challenge block.

I hope you like the card and be sure to stop by the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for you and to play along with us. Can’t wait to see what you create!

Well I’m back in town and I got a lot done in terms of scrapbooking while at the farm. About 3 layouts and 9 cards which is the most I’ve worked on in awhile! Most of these you will see in upcoming posts once I get them photographed.

On to this week’s challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

I really liked this sketch! I used one of the SCT samplers I took with me and created this fun Christmas in July card. I belive this one is from the Pinkfresh Holiday Vibes collection which was in the December 2018 sampler.

I had limited supplies at the farm so I created this card using just the papers that were in the sampler and then some enamel dots! I cut out the little houses from a sheet of the paper and also the sentiment was a paper as well. I think it turned out really well.

Head on over to the blog and see how the rest of the DT has created with this sketch this week!

Tuesday is here again folks! Here is this week’s sketch for you up on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog!

I’ve got a fun card for you that I made this weekend while I was attending the Crop and Create Delivered event with Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine.

We were treated to a fun Lunch and Learn with Lea Lawson from PinkFresh Studio and got to use these gorgeous layered stencils. I’ve never used them before but they were soooo easy. No issues lining them up and the results were gorgeous each and every time. We also got that lovely HUGS die as well.

You will see that I rotated the sketch to do my card. I used some inks from both Stampin Up and Tim Holtz and the vellum is from Lawn Fawn. I added some gold foil paper from my stash and some lovely gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

I hope that you will join us in our challenge this week and if you’ve never used a layered stencil before, I highly recommend it!
