Dragonfly Dreams: March

March is here people! Can you believe it! We are well on our to the first third of the year!

Ok, on to the important stuff! Our March challenge is up at the Dragonfly Dreams blog and our theme is Things that Make you Smile!

Our Sponsor is Stamper’s Delights this month.

I am using the Kawaii Chocolate Bar for my project this month and I did some paper piecing! I’ve not done it in awhile so I thought it would be fun for this.

I printed the image out on 3 different colors of cardstock and then cut the pieces as I needed them. I also added a few details, like some Wink of Stella and some Nuevo Drops. I used my SMILE stamp and die set from SCT delivered for the sentiment.

I hope you will play along with us and don’t forget to see the awesome project the DT has created with some different images from our great sponsor this month!

Dragonfly Dreams: September

The beginning of the month always brings a new challenge at Dragonfly Dreams! This month is such an easy one, you just have to play along! It’s HAPPY BIRTHDAY! in honor of our former chief Traci who sadly passed away a few years ago. September was her birthday month and she is greatly missed.

I chose to use up some of the Echo Park Coffee paper that I still had hanging around.

I really like this simple design and its great for using some smaller pieces. I also used the Stampin Up Coffee stamp that is probably one of my favorites to use. I went with a little paper piecing which is a great way to add some interest in your project.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along with us on the blog this month and there is so much inspiration for you to check out!

Hello

I have another fun card for you for the There’s a Stamp for That FB challenge. If you remember, our challenge for this month is challenge #23 (Frogs, Paper Piecing or Freshly Made Sketches #458–used with permission. )

I went with Paper Piecing this time, mostly because I hadn’t done it in awhile.

I had a fun Studio Calico stamp that I had never used and thought it would be really fun to stamp and cut out each house in a different paper from the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things 6×6 paper pad. I paired it with a sentiment sticker that I am pretty sure came in a previous sampler and now sits in my sentiment cup. I added a doodle frame because I thought it needed just a little something. I don’t often do CAS cards but I really love how this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Warm Joy

Have you stopped by the Christmas Crafts All Year Round blog yet?  Our new monthly challenge is up….

Normally when you think of Christmas, you think cold and snow…this month, we want you to think WARM!  Use warm colors on your project

No automatic alt text available.

…reds, yellows, oranges.

This was a bit of a tricky one for me.  I scoured all my Christmas stuff and I didn’t really have anything in those warm colors. Then I happened upon some sheets for a Simple Stories album…since I don’t do mini albums, I decided to cut the sheets I wanted to create my card instead.  One of those sheets was this really cool star die cut in a glitter cardstock…I thought this would make an awesome layer.  I did some fussy cutting on another sheet for the flowers and then I picked up a new die cut earlier this year, that I haven’t used yet.  It’s from Penny Black called “Joy to the World”.  I wanted to add a bit of orange in there so I cut it out of orange glitter paper and added just some plain orange ribbon from my stash.

A Little Brown Sugar

Hello Bloggers!!!  So ummm ya, today is my first project with Brown Sugar Designs.  Yep! I am on the design team and am super excited!

Let me tell you about this week’s challenge…our theme this week is DIE CUTS.  You know you have lots of them waiting to be used, so pull them out!  Just pick one and work your card around it, that’s always fun!

The challenge this week is being sponsored by DIGITAL PAPER CRAFT who is so graciously offering 3 digis of the winners choice!

DPC-SPONSOR

Today I’m using this adorable digi called Me and Ted.

How cute is that bear!  I did some coloring with my copics but I also did some paper piecing for her dress.  I used a variety of die cuts on this card.  The little white leaves were given to me in a swap.  The ovals are from CC designs (I got the dies in a swap!) and the Hello is from Stampin Up.  A few little gems from my stash and we are good to go.

I hope that you will play along with us this week.  We are excited to see what you can create!

Critter Birthday

As Friday is upon us, it is another new challenge at Creative Card Challenges.  Our theme this week is ‘Cute Critters’.  We would like to see projects with the cutest little animals you can find…..

Here is my card using a CTMH stamp set that I’ve had for a long time.

I think he’s just adorable.  I apologize for the bad lighting.  I’ve had technical difficulties with my camera today and had to go to the backup.  I wanted to do a fairly simple card as this will be mailed for a friends birthday.  I did some paper piecing for the balloons.  I hope you like it and please stop by the blog and link up to this week’s challenge.

Lollipop Sponsor Spotlight

happy Thursday all!  I know I haven’t posted for a bit.  I’ve been busy trying to get stuff made for my craft fairs this year–I am doing 4 all in the month of November.  So I have been busy but I have some projects to share with you later 🙂

Today is the Sponsor Spotlight over on Lollipop Crafts!  This week we are sponsored by Di’s Digi Downloads

Our challenge this week is to use brads and/or eyelets on your project.  Pretty simple so everyone can enter and we have a great prize.  Everything you need to know can be found on the blog here.

Here’s what I have for you this week:

the DP is from a paper surprise pack I got from Hot Off The Press eons ago and have had forever.  I chalked the image after copic coloring and then did a little paper piercing on the scalloped circle.   It’s a little hard to see in the picture but the butterfly and the centers of the flowers all have stickles on them. A little of the baker’s twine from Whisker Graphics and a little charm and bling to finish it off.  I hope you enjoy.

AiF challenge #93

Welcome to another new challenge day at AiF.  This week we are on our new site!  Very exciting.  Our challenges have changed  a bit, we are now offering a freebie to work with and going to a 2 week challenge period.  The design team is smaller this term as we work out the kinks on the new site and yet the creativity is huge.  Make sure you check out the DT inspiration this week.

Here is my card for this week’s challenge of Back to School/Hooray for Teacher

I really wanted to keep this card simple and use primary colors.  I did a little paper piecing (something I’ve not done in awhile) with some scraps (**sigh** yes I am still using scraps) and colored the image Ella Teacher with my Copics.   A little chalking for the sentiment which I printed out on the computer and for embellishments just a bit of ribbon, stickles and bling, all of which are from my stash.  I will admit, the only new thing I used on this card besides the image, was the new border punch I picked up.  I realized I had NOTHING in terms of a scallop punch so I thought I better have one!

Entered into the following challenges:

Art Impression Stamps: School is in!

CRAFT Challenge: Children

DivasbyDesign: Back to School

Clear it Out Challenge: Back to School

Ribbon Car0usel: Anything Goes (must have ribbon as well)

Crafty Boots: Anything Goes

ALSO, DON’T FORGET THAT IT IS THE SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT AT LOLLIPOP CRAFTS TODAY AND THERE IS STILL TIME TO GET IN ON THE DOUBLE TIME CHALLENGE.  STOP BY THE BLOG FOR ALL THE DETAILS

Lollipop Crafts Celebration Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

“It’s time for a CELEBRATION!!!  Lollipop Crafts is celebrating their ONE YEAR BLOGAVERSARY and you are sweetly invited to join the fun!
First of all, we are back from summer break with our weekly challenge.  The theme this week is CELEBRATION!  Create a card/project with a celebration theme (ex. birthday, anniversary, wedding, new baby, graduation, etc)  We all have something to celebrate right?  It is the first challenge of the month and that means we are sponsored this week by Meljen’s Designs.
One lucky random challenge player this week will win a fantastic prize.  Be sure to link your creations with InLinkz on the LC blog for a chance.  Check out the challenge rules too!
Secondly, it wouldn’t be a celebration without some FUN!  Join in on our Anniversary blog hop!  You have until tomorrow (Tuesday at midnight PST) to visit and comment on each DT member’s blog.  Make sure you visit each of us because their are hidden prizes (the DT doesn’t even know who has the prizes).  Winners will be announced on Wednesday.  List of blog hop sponsors can be found on the LC blog and the master blog hop order is there too!
You should have arrived here from Kim’s  blog.  If you hopped here by chance, please head over to Lollipop Crafts and begin your journey there.
Using Meljen’s Bunbun image (this is so adorable) I created this cute little birthday card.  One can never have enough birthday cards in my opinion.

The DP is from Bazill (Grandma’s Feather Bed).  The image is colored with copics with just a hint of paper piecing with the party hat and cupcake.   I also added just a bit of stickles as well.  The ribbon is from my stash and I cut the balloons out using my Celebrations cartridge and then ran them through the cuttlebug with the polkadots folder.  Since my FB win with Whisker Graphics, I’ve been using a lot of their baker’s twine which I incorporated here for the balloon strings.  The sentiment is a stamp set from Hot Off the Press.  I hope you like it!

Now it’s time for you to hop on over to  Zulma’s  blog  to see what she has created for you and don’t forget to leave her some some sugar!!”

A sketch and a challenge

So I used Gloria’s sketch from CdnScrapSwapChat to do the Fussy and Fancy Challenge which is GREEN.  I hope you like it.  Nothing fancy… I used some Savvy n Sassy ribbon, a Daisy Bucket stamp that I just bought, bazzill cardstock and the paper is from Chatterbox (Botanica).
