TMS #572

This week on the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog we have such a great easy sketch for you, it will have you making cards in no time at all!

This is such a classic design and yet you can do so much with it!

Here is what I have for you!

I have no idea why I wanted to do a Halloween card this early other than the fact that I had these Simple Stories die cuts sitting on my desk and just went with it. I cracked open some much coveted October Afternoon Witch Hazel paper to do this…it’s double sided so I only needed a small piece (yay, can still hoard it) for the card. Since it was for Halloween, I decided to do a bit of distressing, just for some extra texture.

Come on over to the blog and play along in our challenge…are you working on Halloween cards too? Christmas? Fall/Autumn? We want to see it !

Cute Happy Birthday

Happy New Year and our new challenge at Use Your Stuff.  Our challenge is to use some floral patterned paper on your project.

I created this fun little birthday card which I hope you will enjoy. Make sure you stop by and play along and don’t forget about our DT call until January 15th.

Hello, hello hello! Monday already?  Challenge day at Use Your Stuff, but you knew that right?? 🙂

Back to school is in full swing now and so that is this week’s Challenge!  We want to see some of your wonderful BTS creations.

I am happy to be getting back into layouts again.  I had forgotten how much I missed doing them.  My project this week is a layout using a Sketch from Creative Scrappers.  I have one of her AWESOME sketchbooks (Volume 1)  that I got a couple of years ago and is my go to, when I need to get started.  The sketches on her site are fabulous and such a variety!

Everything is from my stash…..The DP is from October Afternoon & Fancy Pants.  I also used a bunch of bits and bobs from my stash and the wooden stars I just inked up with some ink for color.  The crayon diecut is from Simply Charmed.  The lettering is thickers.  I hope you enjoy it and play along with us at UYS this week.

Cake Rules!

As you read this, I am actually out camping in BC for a much needed holiday with my family 🙂

Our new challenge is up and running this week at Red Carpet Studio.  Based on one of my favorite movies of all time (no one makes movies like John Hughes did 😦 )

The challenge is to create a project with a birthday theme to it.  Surely an easy one this time around!  Here is what I have for you today.  Another fun layout of my favorite kiddo Riley on his first birthday!

For this layout I actually used the sketch provided by Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine’s monthly sketch challenge (which this month is provided by the ever talented Sue Sykes!).  I rotated the sketch for this layout.

A fun sketch!  I used some Kaisercraft and October Afternoon DP for this one.  I love all those decorative brads which worked perfectly for this layout (from MME).  The rest of my embellishments were from Michael’s, the $ store and my stash 🙂  I hope you will play along with our challenge on the Blog and don’t forget to try the sketch yourself and play upload to the CS blog!
