Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone, or for you Star Wars fans, Revenge of the Fifth! I hope you managed to get crafty over the weekend for iNSD2020. I played along in an online crop for one of my favorite stores and local scrapping community of Scrap Shotz! It was supposed to be our spring crop at the community centre but given the circumstances…….Lots of great challenges and we still have until the 9th to get the projects in and win some prizes!!! I will be sharing some of those later this week.
On to our Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge for you! Here is this week’s sketch!
A great one and easy to incorporate into your own interpretation. I am still working on some cards for a few charities associated with my husband’s company and so I took advantage of My Favorite Things free downloads they had last month and got some health care images. I used one and a sentiment from them to do this card up
I colored the image with my copics. The background is some old We R Memory Keepers Antique Chic. I paired it with just some simple gold sequins from my stash.
I really hope you will play along with us this week and don’t forget to stop by the blogand see what the rest of the DT has created for you!
Happy Crafting everyone!
Today I have a Christmas Card for you! I belong to a group on Splitcoast Stampers and we send ‘kits’ to our partner to create a Christmas card. The kit usually contains some DP and the image and then the rest is up to you.
This is the card that I created using my latest kit from my partner.
The only thing I added was the sentiment from My Favorite Things, and then a border punch for some interest. I hope you like it.
Entered into these challenges:
Jingle Belles: All Bundled Up (layers)
Crimbo Crackers; Anything Goes + Christmas
The Merry Christmas Challenge: Anything Goes
Craftaholics R Us: Any Holiday Card
QKR Stampede: Anything Goes
OK, we are in June I know, but I’m slowly working my way through my SCT sampler packs, starting at the beginning. The January sampler had some great pieces. I was down to my last little bits to create this card for the Sketch -N- Scrap sketch challenge for June.
I embossed the cardstock with my Darice butterflies folder. The DP and the sequins are from the kit and the sentiment is from MFT. The butterfly focal is from K&Co, which I thought worked well with these little pieces.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hey you! Thanks for stopping by! Today I’ve got a fun card for you for my guest spot on the Color Crazy Challenge Blog. I’m using an image from Lemon Shortbread called Hot Cuppa Girl. I just colored her with some basic markers. I wasn’t really going for any shading or definition. My DP is just random sheets from swaps that I have done recently. I paired it with a sentiment from the Cup of Tea set from My Favorite Things. A few Nuvo dots to finish it off and voila! I hope you like it and be sure to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the DT has created for you!
Ok, for the 4th challenge with My Favorite Things, it’s called Make & Mail.
Challenge 4: MAKE & MAIL
Make a card. Mail a card. Do it now and don’t delay. OK, OK, you don’t have to rush out the door right this second but really, make it, address it, stamp it, and pinky-swear that you’ll drop it in the mailbox the first chance you get! We trust you.
Make a card and mail it out to someone! That’s really the purpose of making a card anyway right?? Luckily, I am in a swap where I have to mail out a card every Monday for the next 12 weeks, so this will be going out to my swap partner Pansy!
This card was made from left overs I brought back from my card class last week. We were doing some stamping and I had a bit left over which I turned into a small one sheet wonder. I managed to get 5 cards from a little 4.5 x 8 sheet. I really liked how this turned out. The DP is all stamped from the Stampin Up set – Painted Harvest, and the woodgrain is a stamp as well. Then I fussy cut one of the flowers and some leaves from the sheet. I can’t remember which set the sentiment comes from. I hope she likes it!
I hope you like it too.
Ok here’s challenge # 3 for My Favorite Things, World Card Making Day challenge.
Challenge 3: BY THE NUMBERS
Create a card that features a number in a prominent way. It can be a die-cut number, a stamped number, or even the representation of a number (five cute frogs for a favorite five-year-old’s birthday, perhaps?)
Here is the Silver Anniversary card I made (Pinterest Inspired). I really like how it turned out. It allowed me to blow the dust off of some of my older embossing folders.
The inside just says congratulations, Happy Anniversary!
I just embossed the panel and popped it up with pop dots. I cut the 25 out of glitter paper with my Cricut and then added just a few pearls to finish it off.
Hope you like it!
Ok, here is challenge #2 for My Favorite Things World Card Making Day challenge.
Challenge 2: DIE-NAMICS DESIGNS
Our noon challenge is all about die cutting. Put your stamps and inks away for a bit because you won’t be needing them for this challenge. Create a card that features 100% die cutting for a chance to win our noon prize.
Enter your card by 10 pm EDT on Sunday, October 8, 2017.
Winners will be announced Monday, October 9, 2017.
Ok luckily you don’t have to have MFT products to play along (because for some reason I don’t own any..oh the horror!).
I made a simple thank you card for this one.
The background die is from Taylored Expression and the Thank you I cut 5 times and layered together. The die is from YNS. I also added some glossy accents to the sentiment. The DP is just from my stash.
I hope you like it. I’ll be back later on with challenges 3 & 4 🙂
Happy WCMD everyone!
This weekend I am playing along with some challenges set up by My Favorite Things!
This is their first challenge:
Challenge 1: ROYGBIV
Let’s kick the day off with COLOR. Your first challenge of the day is to create a card featuring the rainbow — either a literal rainbow or, by simply integrating the colors of the rainbow into your design in any way you see fit.
I really had to think about how I was going to do this one. So I decided on stamping! I pulled out my Pun Intended set by Stamping UP, because I thought the camera would be perfect to stamp in rainbow colors.
The great thing about this challenge is that you don’t have to use My Favorite Things products to play along (which is good because I don’t own any but would sure like to win one of their gift certificates to the store that they are giving to random challenge participants!).
So without further adieu, here is my card! I really like how it turned out! I just added a view of the violet sequins to pair up with the orange on this card.
Don’t forget to play along for your chance to win!
When I was at crop & create a couple of weeks ago, I got a kit when I attended Vicki Boutin’s cluster class. It was just a small kit, made up mostly of the Moonstruck collection from Pink Paislee. I finally put that puppy to bed.
Besides the 3 layouts ( 1 Single & 1 double from the class) I managed to get in another single layout and 4 cards. I probably could have stretched another one or two cards as I have a few die cuts and some of the rub-ons left and one 3.5 x 5 strip of paper! LOL However, I called it a day and figured I got the just of it. 🙂
I will be sharing the projects over the next week, so here is a card that I made, which I put together for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge this week.
I did add some extra sequins for my card just to bring in some more of that gold from the rub on at the top. The alphas came with the kit as well and they are American Crafts.
I hope you like it!
Entered into these challenges as well:
4 Crafty Chicks: Flowers
Craft Rocket Challenge: Inspired by a book or a movie (For the Roses by Julie Garwood – one of my faves)
Crafty Girls Creations: Anything Goes
In the Pink Challenge blog: Flower Power (& lots of pink)
Creative Fingers Challenges: Anything Goes
Jo’s Scrap Shack- Anything Goes
That unfortunately does not seem to be something that we are going to have here in Calgary today. It’s still a bit cloudy and cool today. The last vestiges of winter are still lingering around. I wish they would just go already.
Today’s challenge at Use it Tuesday is All About Spring. It’s time to break out the flowers, the bright colors, the sunshine, all the good stuff. As always you need to use up some of your stash so make sure you let us know in your post what you used.
I finally have used up all of the Lil Sprout collection by Crate Paper so here is my final project. The stamp set is one from my stash that I don’t use enough by My Favorite Things. It comes with its own sentiment as well. I just used my spellbinders and inked it up with some Tim Holtz ink. The bling is from my stash as well. I hope you like it.
Please stop by the blog to enter this week’s challenge and to see all the rest of the great DT projects we have for you this week.
