MTCC #60

Hi! It is time for our new challenge at Make the Card Challenges! This one is great (they all are right?! )

This week we are going for a simple technique…

Oh this has so many possibilities! For me, I had this embossing folder/die set that I hadn’t used in awhile and so I wanted to focus on that and made a shaker card. The sentiment is from Ink Road Stamps and is a quote from one of my favorite movies of all time – Pride and Prejudice!

I love the red/white/black combo so I added some pink/white/red sequins in my shaker and some glitter red hearts to give it a bit of pop.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along with us at MTCC . The DT has some awesome projects for you to check out and inspire you and you’ll find the link to play along!

Hello! Hello! Hello! Here we are again on the first Tuesday of May! We have our latest sketch on board for you at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Let me show you what I’ve got for you!

I used just a recollections pack of black and white paper! I’ve had it for several years and it’s pretty thick but I’ve barely used it. I also added some blue glitter paper from my stash and I finally cracked open my Ink Road Stamps “Day Pajamas” which I bought last year but never used it. I kept it black and white with a pop of color and unfortunately you can’t see it, but I’ve lightly outlined the toilet paper with my Copic 0002.

I like how this turned out and I also did a different orientation of it and instead of the glitter oval I just went with black and white.

Be sure to stop by the blog today and see the rest of the great projects our Design Team has created with this wonderful sketch. We can’t wait to see what you create with it!

Love me

I don’t normally make Valentine’s Day cards…’s more of a Hallmark holiday to me than anything else, but I had these few things on my desk that have been sitting there forever and I was resolved to use them….one was this dotted paper from Stampin Up that I’ve had for years, and the other was the brick wall die cut that was given to me in a swap and lastly was this quote from my favorite musical. I wondered how I could bring the three of them together. I love a good scrapping challenge!

I took the dotted paper and inked it with some distress oxide inks in Spun Sugar, Abandoned Coral and Aged Mahogany. I added some water sprinkles, just for an extra layer of interest. I then put the brick wall die cut over top of that. Then it was just a matter of adding a couple different hearts from my stash (I love that foil one) and some enamel dots. The sentiment is from the Ink Road’s Subway Art Lover’s Movie Quotes. I love this stamp set! I am a big movie buff and it has some of my favorite lines and I really enjoy trying to fit them into different card styles! As I said, this particular quote is from my all time favorite musical The Phantom of the Opera!!!

I really like how this turned out.

Is it Tuesday already?  Have you been to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog yet?  Our new sketch is there….

I didn’t want to do a flower for my card, and that’s the great thing about a can interpret it the way that you want that fits your style.  I’ve had this Doodlebug Doodlepop sitting on my desk forever and I finally wanted to use it!

So I pulled out some random coffee papers from my stash…i think there is mostly Echo Park and some Stampin Up in there.  I added the doodlepops and then the sentiment is from Ink Road Stamps

Head on over to the blog and see what the other DT have created.  Don’t forget to leave them some love!
