You Are Simply Fabulous

Hello my peeps!  I’m sharing a card that I created for the Festive Friday Challenge this week.

So you take a minimum of 3 items from the list and use it on your project!  I love stuff like this!

Here’s what I’ve got.

I really love how this turned out.  I’m trying to incorporate more mixed media into my projects so I thought this was a great start.

The three I picked were: ice cream, watercolor and pattern (polka dots).  I used some distress oxide inks for the water colored background and then I cut the ice cream cones out of some left over Dear Lizzy paper that I have had for AGES!  The polka dot piece is just a scrap and then I finished it off with some enamel dots from my stash and a Taylored Expressions sentiment strip that I cut in half.  I hope you like it!

Happy Vanilla Ice Cream Day!

I LOVE creating cards for obscure holidays!  I find it fun to challenge myself to create a card that fits with the day….

Well, today is Vanilla Ice Cream Day and well guess what!  It’s an ice cream card for you!

I was at the farm for the last week on vacation so I brought a few supplies with me, including the bits and bobs I had left over from this huge American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan kit that I won years ago….yes, I’m still trying to use it up and I’m almost there..

I really just took some of the DP and then some of the rub ons to make the card.  Nothing fancy.  The ice cream was actually on the back side of one of the papers …it had a bunch of cut aparts and so it was perfect for this card!

I hope you enjoy it, and go have an ice cream!

Sweet!

Happy Halloween to you all!  I hope you have lots of fun in whatever endeavours you plan on to celebrate today.  We are taking our little guy out tonight trick or treating.  He is very excited! Our little pirate received a pardon from the crown and is now a muskateer….translation…it’s too cold out tonight for him to just wear his pirate costume so we had to improvise with something he could wear over his coat 🙂

Today is a new challenge on the Penny’s papercrafty blog…it’s all about BIRTHDAYS!  Show us your birthday creations.

We have two wonderful sponsors for this challenge. That’s right, one lucky random person will win 3 digi images from My Heart Pieces and one lucky random person will win $10 gift certificate from Dustin Pike (aka Doodle Dragon Studios).

I am highlighting an image from My Heart Piece’s called Ice Cream Cutie

I used some papers from the Basic Grey Koshi line.  I am almost out of this one….:(  The image was colored with my copics.  I used a fun border punch I’ve not used in awhile and the bling is from my stash.  The ribbon is Stampin Up as is the Sweet Sentiment.  I hope you enjoy it.
