TMS #693

Hiya! I hope you have been playing along with us at Tuesday Morning Sketches. We have another favorite for you. We are working with Melissa’s favorite this go round. This was one of my fave’s for the year as well.

So back in October when we introduced this challenge, this was my card.

Here’s my new one!

I pulled out my case with all my Valentine’s papers and embellishments and so I will be doing a lot with them this month. For this one, I am using a lot of pieces and papers from the Love Me Do collection from My Mind’s Eye…..go back to 2009! That’s how long it’s been sitting in my stash! Quite a different color palette from the first time I played with this sketch right! There’s a little bit of heart washi in there too.

I hope you like it, come along and play with us and as an added bonus, try and find something that you have had in your stash for quite a while and breathe some new life into it ok! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you on the blog!

BRRRR! It’s a cold day here in Calgary folks! I hope it is warm where you are. If you are inside and looking for some scrappy inspiration…we have a great sketch up at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

We are using Patti’s favorite this week!

I love this sketch. It is such a great one to use, especially if you want to do a lot of cards in a short amount of time…it has great simple elements that you can keep simple or go to town on!

I created another Valentine’s card. I had this gorgeous vintage piece that I knew I wanted to use and so I just built my card around that. I used some washi for the lines and some paper from American Crafts xoxo collection. A simple word sticker and some nuevo drops to finish it off.

Now, head on over to the blog to see what the rest of the DT has created for you with this great sketch to see how versatile it is! Don’t forget to play along with us!

KBD- Spotlight

Happy Sunday everyone!  We are well in January now and I hope that it is starting off great for you.

It’s my spotlight day on the Kitty Bee Designs blog, and I decided to make a fun Valentine’s day card with the cute Sushi Buddies, which can be found in the store here.

I used the papers from a couple of DP’s I got last year in a swap – Pebbles My Funny Valentine and also My American Crafts xoxo.  I also pulled out a fun heart doily from my stash.

I colored the images with my copics, and the sentiment I just printed out on my computer.  I also added a simple heart brad and few small gems to finish it off.  I hope you like it!  Don’t forget to stop by the Kitty Bee blog to play along in our current challenge.

I heart you

I’m a bit behind the ball here!  Our new challenge is up on the Use Your Stuff blog and Tammy C’s challenge is to use hearts on your project.

That shouldn’t be too hard considering that it is getting close to Valentine’s Day and many of us are working on VDay related projects right!

Here is a card I created! I’ve been hanging around in the Cricut Design space this last week seeing what I can play around with and this was one of the cards that we could create!

The DP in the back is from Papermania in a collection called Red Hot.  I got this as a gift years ago and have been trying to use it up!  The heart hands are from the Cricut design space (i’m not sure which cartridge it is from as it was one of those Make it Now projects)  and then I went over it all with my wink of Stella pen for a little glitz.

I hope you like it and don’t forget to play along with us!

Glittery Valentine

Can you believe February will be here soon?  My birthday is in about 2 weeks!  I’m celebrating with a bunch of my friends and having a wine and paint party….but that’s another story….

Our new challenge is ready for you at the Use Your Stuff blog!  Renee is challenging us to use sequins and/or glitter on our pages.  Now we all know that I have a love/hate relationship with glitter that I am not sure I will ever get over.  Certainly not at this point, so I decided to forego actual glitter and instead, cracked open a big stack of glittered paper that I had.  I really loved the red and knew it would be perfect for a Valentine’s card I need to send out to my Secret Cupid on the SCS site.

I totally CASE’d it off of this card from Pinterest!  I hope you like it and I hope to see you play along with us on the blog this week!

Love Birds

Inspired by a post I saw on a blog today (I’ll try and find the post for you later because it was a great idea for cards), I created this card for the challenge at Red Carpet Studios this week.

Inspired by The Wedding Singer (A movie I myself have not yet seen, hard to believe I know, considering how much of a movie whore I am, but I am not a fan of Adam Sandler), the challenge is to create a wedding or anniversary card.

Here’s mine…

I went for non-traditional colors on this one and I think it could really be used for either wedding or anniversary which is always great.

Everything on this card is from my stash.  The cardstock is Co-ordinations.  I used my Leafy Branch embossing folder and then I did some distressing.  The felt birds are from Maya Road and I have had them for ever.  I printed the sentiment on my computer and cut it out.  The tag and bling heart are from my stash as well.  I hope you like it.

City Crafter Challenge: Wings of an Angel (must have soemthing with wings)

The Ribbon Carousel: Love is in the Air (must have a spooled item on project)

Get Well Soon

Hello again! Two posts in one day…wow! Going from not so busy to busier than a bee.  We have a new challenge over at Penny’s Paper Crafty this week which is being sponsored by multiple sponsors, one of which I am highlighting this week…Dustin Pike.

I am sure that you’ve seen these adorable dragons all over blogland.

I decided to make a get well soon card as I’ve not done one in awhile and you just never know when one comes in handy (like for your son’s preschool teacher who’s home sick 🙂 )

As you can see, I used the Basic Grey offbeat papers again.  I thought they were kinda upbeat and cheery for a get well card.  I paired the image with just a great stamp from Michael’s that I got, again in the Spiced Marmalade ink.  I added some ribbon and a border punch as well as a little heart button from my stash.

I hope you enjoy it and don’t forget to enter our buttons and/or ribbon challenge at Penny’s today for your chance to win one of several great prizes!
